Nice shop but I placed a large order for Easter (over $300) and went to pick it up. The man who helped me was very nice and checked my order so I didn't and I got home and the half dozen peanut butter eggs I ordered were missing with half dozen of another egg instead. I don't live close by so I called and asked if they could send me the right eggs or credit me part of the order since this isn't what I wanted. "Nothing they can do." I told them they should be making sure orders - especially large ones - are correct. Not apologetic at all. If I wanted to drive back and exchange they'd be happy to do that - how does that own the mistake? Just creates twice the work for me for no benefit to me. read more

Ashley doesn't care about her job she's distracted with other things . She Stood in the back while a line of 4 piled up at the case because the first customer just could not comprehend you can buy the lollipops in boxes !!' wth? The other clerk trying to help this lady was being as nice and sweet but man let's move the line along. I'm a box pro and know what i want how many pieces fit i've been eating sees for 30+ years longer than Ashley has been alive. Suggestion.,, hire more people or make an express line for people like me who don't need to sample everything . while all this going in she decides to start "helping" i tried to be nice but she didn't listen due to whatever the he'll was distracting her . I asked for 4 scotch kisses in a bag, received 2 , got 2 truffles i didn't ask for . Been here three times now with our grandkids. Amazed at how the employees know so much about the chocolate choices here. Sure, it's their job, maybe there's a chocolate school that they all attend?? First visit to this See's shop at the Westlake Promenade. The gentleman minding the store immediately greeted us, offered his assistance, and followed up with an offer of samples. Sweet! I was feeling a touch of nostalgia to find my mom's old favorite, and was successful. She was never a dessert or candy lover, so when she liked a sugary treat, it was a big deal. They now make the brown sugar center with either dark or milk chocolate covering. Dark, please! A half pound box fit 12 to 13 pieces for $10. For a high quality confection, it seemed fair. Not something we'd purchase often, but it's nice to have the option for gift giving. Their simple black and white color scheme is a classic, and very recognizable. I love how when I walk into a shop, I'm offered 1, 2, maybe 3 pieces of free chocolate before buying. Then, when I buy and get to my car, I eat another 2-3 pieces. This, my friends, is a quality product, and it has been for years. I've gone from loving the chocolate with nuts, then the chews, now -- the Bordeaux and California Brittle are my two specific favorites (just in case you are looking to gift me). I've always had a good experience at this Sees Candies location. They always offer a free sample, which is great to be able to try something new! They have an amazing selection of treats and you will certainly find something you like! You can create your own box or you can pick from prepackaged boxes that are displayed along the line for the counter. Parking at the Promenade can be tricky, so try to come before or after rush hour times. Sometimes you can be lucky and snag a 10 min parking spot, but it seems like a lot of people park there for much longer than 10 min. read more

This is a smaller See's Candies shop located at the Promenade in Westlake Village. It is conveniently located if you don't want to drive all the way to the Oaks Mall. It is very clean and well kept. The employees are very helpful. I came in here late in the morning a few days before Valentine's Day and it was not crowded at all. They had a large selection of the seasonal Valentine's items and they were very well stocked. The candy was delicious as always. I love how they give out free samples of whatever you would like to try. This is a tiny shop so I imagine that it will get pretty busy during peak holiday times. Parking is plentiful. So I think this overall brand is located on the west coast and even select places because I had known the candy growing up; however, the candy, itself is not widely available. I came here, after reading at a nearby Barnes and Noble and they give out free samples. The candy is amazing! The gal also gave us back a coupon that we could use again should I want to make another trip back, before the expiration date. All and all, it was a great night (12/12) at this Promenade (which I still have no idea WTF a promenade is), with it's huge Christmas tree and lots of lights. read more

The best candy I have found, short of a $200 box. Their prices are increasing all the time but a box is still under $30. For me, I don't know much about picking a bottle of wine but chocolates I can pick. The suckers are now ninety cents but a great kid pleaser. What can I say? . See's is my happy place and I'm very excited to have one in my immediate neighborhood. This clean white shop with its beautifully displayed and packaged boxes of chocolates and friendly staff is truly good for the soul. My man and I come here once a week for the same thing. Dark chocolate raspberry creams and dark chocolate covered almonds are our personal nirvana. The dark chocolate is better than Godiva , Vosges, Lindt ,Leonidas , Guittard, Scharfenberger , you name it. .Lift your crisp, smooth and shiny chocolate from its pleated paper cup and bite into the creamy, delectable center. . Heaven ! , I credit my elderly mother with introducing me to See's which she stocks by the boxful in the vegetable bin in her fridge instead of greens . Good store - but it's small. And, it can get very packed in there with people. I prefer some of their other locations. I regularly go to the one in Reseda, which is way better, and the employees walk around with samples and are always ready to help. They want you to buy, buy, and keep buying....LOL And, for good reason - it's almost all expensive but it's the best chocolate in the world! Or, in the US anyway. The worst customer service ever. Person behind the counter made me so mad that I walked out. I was the only one in the store. She started to help me and another customer walked in and the sales person walked away from me and helped the other customer. I didn't say anything. Customer left and sales person came back to me. Another customer came in and she left me to help him. I still didn't say anything but I said, 'I am out of here." I was clear on what I wanted...8 dark chocolate scotch marshmallows and 8 dark chocolate almonds. I wanted 16 of the little individual boxes which she suggested but told me she had 15 and might have some in the back. Never said or went to the back to look. That is as far as I got until she went to help someone else. How rude. How unprofessional. I have been a resident in Westlake Village for over 30 years and I will never set foot in that store unless See's trains their help how to take care of customers. I thought I was on that TV show, "What Would You Do?" I am a patient person and never resort to raising my voice, but I was tempted. Walking out and going elsewhere was my only resolution. Done!
