Amazing store for dog owners, outdoors people, hunters, fishers, boaters, campers, and more. Great selection, and great value. It is also a really fun place to visit even if you aren't shopping for anything specific. As a big-dog owner with a Doberman who is a service dog in training, I've now visited this store three times with my dog, and every trip has been fantastic. The store carries a huge variety of outdoor equipment, clothing, hunting and fishing gear, camping supplies, boating equipment, shoes, dog supplies, treats, toys, and more. I especially love the aquariums and taxidermy displays throughout the store--they make it feel more like an experience than just a store. There's also an archery range, outdoor seating, tractors on display, and a beautiful entrance with a wooden bridge over water. **** Why I especially love it for dogs in training**** For dogs that already have their basic commands down and are ready for more real-world exposure, I think this is an excellent environment. There are so many opportunities to practice: * Different surfaces: wooden bridges, smooth floors, carpet, stairs, rocks, etc. * New sights: taxidermy, boats, tractors, aquariums, hunting and camping equipment, and more. * New smells: fish bait, treats, snacks, clothing, shoes, other dogs, and people. (Smelling from a distance ofc, I don't let my dog stick her nose right up in there, that's rude haha) * Loose-leash walking and heeling: It's a large store, so there's plenty of room to practice navigating turns, corners, and aisles. * Down-stays: The many aisles make great opportunities to practice staying calmly while you browse. * Focus around distractions: On busier days, your dog may encounter children, adults, other dogs, and all the other activity that comes with a large store. * Tasking practice: For service dogs in training, it can be a useful environment to practice maintaining focus and performing tasks around distractions. * Confidence building: The variety of sights, sounds, smells, surfaces, and people can provide gentle exposure for dogs who need to build confidence. Of course, I would only recommend bringing dogs that are under control, non-aggressive, and have a reasonable foundation of basic obedience. And always follow the store's current pet/service-animal policies. As someone who can get a little anxious about whether my SDiT is behaving perfectly, I also appreciate how comfortable and welcoming this environment feels. I've had my dog do the occasional "drive-by nose boop" to someone we passed, and instead of feeling embarrassed, I've generally found people to be incredibly understanding and friendly. I've even met fellow big-dog owners and had conversations about Dobermans. One of my favorite moments was when my Doberman suddenly froze and intensely stared down an empty aisle with one paw lifted like she was "pointing" at something invisible. An employee and I both started laughing. **** Great for big-dog owners**** I've found their dog selection particularly useful for larger breeds. Because of the store's focus on outdoor and hunting dogs, I've noticed a better selection of larger-dog equipment than I often find at typical pet stores. They also carry things that can be useful beyond hunting, including scent-training supplies, life jackets for swimming, training equipment, toys, treats, and other gear. I could easily see using many of these products for scent work, dock diving, outdoor adventures, and general training. I also appreciate the selection of dog treats and the ability to find options with ingredients I feel comfortable giving my dog. **** Overall Experience **** The staff have always been friendly, personable, professional, and helpful--and sometimes genuinely funny. There's plenty of parking, and the outdoor area and entrance make the store feel inviting before you even walk inside. I also love that it's open until 10 p.m. on weekdays. To me, Bass Pro Shops feels like more than a store. It's almost like a little mini-world where you can shop, explore, train your dog, and see other people enjoying the store too. I love this store!!! I always find many things I want, things I can buy and things I only dream of owning. I love the selection of clothes from North Face, Columbia, Under Armour, Natural Reflections, Red-Head Ranch and of course the Bass Pro line of clothing. I like to wander around the place looking at boats, atvs and guns. My other half is like a kid in a candy store there. Finding all the guns and ammo. He can along with holsters, sights, ammunition containers and carrying cases. Now he's looking for a huge gun safe. For the most part prices are reasonable. I just need a bigger wallet to get everything I want. Oh and need too!!! I really want to get back into fishing, time out on the water makes me feel good. Now I'd really like to start ATVing. Decide to go to the steakhouse at the Silverton and go early to walk through Bass Pro shops, which I hadn't been to in several years. Just as I remembered, they have a couple really big tanks with Lake Fish that they use for lure demonstrations from time to time but what's really cool you'll find here. It's a lot of great deals for fishing, boating, camping, and other stuff. Lotta staff members walking around to help you out with all your needs. There is a street connection between Bass Pro shops and the Silverton so you don't need to step outside in the heat to go from one to the other. read more

Well, this was a pretty cool surprise. It's a store, hotel, casino, and restaurant. They have a really nice aquarium, and sometimes they have a mermaid that swims around. Unfortunately it's wasn't on Mondays. We are flying out today. So we missed the show. But maybe next time. Still was cool to watch the fish swim around. They have a pretty nice variety of water life. We did see some employees cleaning another area that Koi fish. And some really nice water falls too. Outside they have a small area with Adirondack chairs and you can sit in the sun, or shade. All the cool water features inside make it a family friendly spot, with the mermaid tank right outside of it. Everyone is so friendly here and wow, this Bass Pro Shop was huge. It's connected to the Silverton Hotel and Casino so you can enter in there too. I ended up getting my quarter stamped into the brands logo. I wanted to get some souvenirs for my husband back home, I picked us some matching hats for $5.99, a magnet and candies. The cashier was super friendly when I needed to get a quarter for the quarter press. While hunting and camping aren't really my forte, I still find the store very entertaining. They have taxidermy animals displayed throughout make it feel almost like a museum. Overall the way the shop is set up and decorated, makes it worth a visit. Recently, they have also added Santa's wonderland where you can take a free photo with Santa. I have lived in this city for nearly 20 years now and today was my first ever visit to the Bass Pro Shop! Whoa! This place is HUGE! I mean obscenely huge! I've probably driven past this place several thousand times over the years and had no idea how much was inside! It really is impressive! I came today to purchase a firearm. They have a very good selection at all price points. I found something that I wished to purchase and was ready to talk to somebody. This is where it starts to suck. Pro Tip: If you are here for the gun counter, beeline it up there (it's on the second floor) and hit the QR code to get in line. It may take a while. This system sucks. I came back 3 hours later to pick up my firearm and I still had to wait almost a full hour to just pick up something I paid for just 3 hours earlier! This was maddening. There should be an option for pre-paid purchases just for pick up. I waited very impatiently but got through it. One thing I do have to mention was that both guys I primarily dealt with tonight were awesome. Tim assisted me when I made the purchase and was friendly and personable. Nice guy in general. When I went to pick up a few hours later, the young man who assisted me was a total pro too. I'll admit I was feeling a little grouchy after waiting so long to just pick an item up. He was friendly and professional throughout the whole thing. Customer service is totally on point here. The selection is incredible, the customer service is actually outstanding, but that policy at the gun counter really blows. I am quite sure I'll be back, so I'm sure I can adjust this review later down the road. BTW: With my firearm purchase you get a FREE 30 minutes in their shooting range! Sweet!
