Went here this afternoon to visit Santa & we loved it all the way down to the elves that walk you to Santa. The Christmas selection was amazing & just about everything Christmas was marked down. I truly don't understand some of the negative reviews, the only downside was the wait to see Santa but what do you expect being this is the last weekend before Christmas. I'm so glad we chose to come here rather than going to the mall. read more

I know this is a big box and that is bad for the little guy.. But they do have some good deals at times and today they had a great special on 9mm ammo. If you do your research and keep out a keen eye there are bargains to be had. The staff sometimes seems a bit uninterested in helping out but today with Black Friday kicking off they were on their game......no doubt to a vocal leader behind the gun counter. A little disappointed their shelves were bare in a few spots as we were looking for a specific line of flashlights....hard to believe this close to the big sale day they would be out of stock on some items. I like coming here to see what bargains I can find. If you need a huge selection of everything outdoors then this is your place and if you feel like it you can pick up a boat on the way out to the car. read more

Not many places can beat the prices here for ammo and other sporting equipment. Its the main reason I'm here so much. The store is enormous and there is a wide variety of whatever you're looking for. The sales are usually worth having to wait in line and maneuver through herds of people. The only thing I dislike about this store is that there is a kiosk by the shoe department where they try and get you to sit through a time-share presentation to get a cheap vacation. Those people chase you down like crazy. I once had the same woman approach me 4 times during one visit! I was so annoyed I almost called the manager to complain but it didnt seem like it was worth the effort. Aside from pushy time-share salespeople the store is great. read more

I don't know if this is normal but the way this fish is trapped inside the cage does not seem like it's even close to any natural habitat. First off this store is huge which normally would be a good thing because you have so much to choose from however, when you have a guy who lovesss this store, and can come out with a handful of bags every time, it's not such a good thing. Besides strolling around the store for an hour or so, Bass Pro really does have it all... We needed new gear for our boat - got it, new life vests - got it, life vest for dogs tempted...ski rope - got it. Onto the next... fishing outfits more options than I can imagine... Now shotguns, they do have a few options, but the day I went they didn't have the one I wanted to purchase BUT they did bring out a couple close to it, and gave suggestions. They have a bunch of employees so I have never need to wait for assistance, the variety of boats, are neat and fun to check out as well. What I like about this store as well is when it is Christmas time they set up a Christmas themed mini park where the kiddies can run around, and meet Santa. OH YEAH! & They sell hot broiled peanuts! This outdoor sports shop sports another feature - a veritable kids playground! In the middle of this cavernous collection of fishing rods, kayaks, and camping gear, sits a large, beautiful aquarium surrounding by a cool, faux rock design. It's eye catching and certainly draws a lot of attention. At the back of the store in the covered outdoor area, there are tons of ATVs and boats (even quite expensive ones). At first, I was apprehensive about even touching them. But, then, I turn around, and I see kids climbing all over everything! A lot of fun. As for its main reason for being, I cannot imagine you not finding something you are looking for (or not looking for) at this place. It does seem a bit confusingly laid out though. My bf, Zac, will be cooking for Noche Buena this year. It's the first year we will be celebrating it at our home with both our families. So, to practice cooking a non-traditional version of the pork, we recently came to Bass Pro Shop to buy a smoker they had on sale. We did a run-around the store to see what they had to offer since we hadn't been in it for almost two years. This place is huge. Really huge. The outisde is lined with boats. The inside boasts a nice aquarium inside a rocky setting. It reminds me of something from Universal Studios. They have tons of products from fishing rods to shirts to camping gear. Everything is reasonably priced as well. We made our way to the camping area because they have some pretty neat outside cooking gear. They have a small selection of grills and smokers and pans. Our smoker is a decent size and only cost us $40 on sale. I will say, however, that there seemed to be a LOT more "associates" than there were customers. They were overly eager to attend to customers' needs. I would definitely like to come back to Bass Pro Shop as we get into some of the activities like camping and fishing of which they have TONS of items to choose from. read more

Good location on the corner of Dolphin Mall with good parking compared to the rest of Dolphin Mall. Prices are on the expensive side, but sales can be good. This is the place to go to pick up your missing gear for an expedition to the Everglades, Keys or fishing anywhere. They have a wide variety of departments that have a broad enough selection to find that something you are missing. Nice quiet refuge from the hustle and bustle of Dolphin mall. Would recommend this as a convenient entry way into the Mall, as long as you have the self control to keep your wallet in your pocket. read more

It's Bass Pro in the heart of Miami. With that being said, they do an amazing job to fully stock that huge building with plenty of personnel, and equipment for - anything. Stocked with an army of boats, jet skis, kayaks, firearms, off road vehicles, clothing, GPS'. Did I mention the whole place is themed as an underwater sea? Not to mention the giant fish tank with exotic fish. You really can't go anything less than 5 stars for a store you can play in all day, adult or child. I've been coming here since it opened a few years back. I got into kayaking with this store, then always picked up fishing equipment. As my siblings and I grew older we all have picked up or have transferred firearms to this store. I'm not sure why people are giving Bass Pro anything less than 5 stars. On the weekends I've seen them have bounce houses for kids, BB gun range for kids. They do tours for kids too. Friendly to tourists. And everything is always organized. I came here once a week for about a month just testing out the fit on shotguns and the staff is always knowledgeable and always help a girl out. Last week I finally found one I liked and staff even explained to me how to cut the stock so it fits me better. I also got a rifle since we were already there. When I picked up the two firearms a week later, another staff member showed me how to load it, assemble, clean, what rounds etc. they don't just give you a firearm and leave. Then they explained the outdoors card (no it's not credit, and it's free) they saved me $15 when I got the ammo. The kids that work here take pride in firearms and have a great way with their words in order to show and explain. read more

Recently had a wonderful experience at this location. I was walking around the mall trying to figure out a place where I would be able to get my younger brother a good gift, as I passed by the store and I remembered that my brother loves to fish. So I walked in and ran into an associate named Jorge Collar who I asked to lead me in the direction of the fishing equipment. He walked me over and helped me pick out a rod a reel. I told him how it was meant for my brother and he suggested that I got one for myself so I could spend the time with for his birthday. I thought that was such a genuine thing to do and a great suggestion from someone who only knew me for 5 minutes. It was so touching I decided to buy two more on top of that to include my father and my other brother. Thanks to Jorge my brother says he had the best birthday yet. read more

Do not take anything to service at tracker marine. They hold your boat for weeks at a time and say that they are working on it and are not. They have horrible customer service and never answer your phone calls. You need to harass them to get any information on your product. They get a 1 out of 10 from me. So my review is this particular Bass Pro is specifically for their "winter wonderland" Santa experience. We arrived when they opened at 10 am this morning hoping to be at the front of the line for Santa. Well we were one of the first people but they informed us that Santa was running a little late and gave us a "bass pass" for 11 am and said Santa should arrive before then so wait in line. After 40 minutes of standing in line they inform us that Santa won't be arriving until 12 or maybe 1230.. there was no apology there was nothing.. even the manager couldn't even muster enough a "we are sorry for the inconvenience" I was very disappointed. We left so I am not sure when Or if Santa ever showed up. I sure hope he did. Just a warning before you promise your kids that you are going to see Santa! read more

My wife was looking for someone to help her at the women's clothing section to try on a pair of pants. After looking through that section she approached the travel section to what looked like a manager and several employees who were there behind a desk, no customers. Just talking. He told her that she needed go find someone in a green shirt and went back to flirting with the the female employees there. Needless to say she put the pants down and walked out. The huge fish tank in the middle of the store is awesome. They are not the biggest bass pro in the area but they still have a lot. The staff are friendly as is the customer service department, I had to deal with them on a few returns that were made effortlessly. I usually drive around the mall and park here as there are usually a few spots here and you don't have to hunt for a spot like the rest of the mall. read more
