A small sporting goods store (fishing & shooting guns/ archery only.) Afield does a good job of maximizing the space they have. A wider selection that Meijer or Walmart. New store hours! One of the owners told me they are now semi retired. Afield is now open Wednesday-Friday, 11am-7pm. At first, I considered dropping a star. Only open 3 days a week??? After experiencing their exceptional customer service, and seeing their prices, I decided to keep the 5 star rating. If I need something on a day they are closed, there are a plethora of chain store to choose from. It's nice to support small business when I can. Prices vary. Many items I was looking at were priced lower than Meijer; even Walmart. Low overhead equals savings for their customers. Some items look a little dated, that doesn't mean they aren't perfectly good. At the time I went FFL transfers are $25.00. That seems reasonable, and they don't try to give you a guilt trip about purchasing the firearm elsewhere. They seem to have the attitude of, "a $25 sale is a $25 sale." As another reviewer's tip says, it can be hard to find, and are located near the 275 bridge, behind an auto repair store. I have never noticed it before reading the other persons tip, so I figured it bears repeating.

A minute later the man shouts at me again from across the store, this time I see him and he chastises me first by saying when I first said hello i was trying to tell you the price like I'm some kind of child of his needing to teach me how to be polite. Sorry, you can greet customers all you want, but that doesn't mean they have to greet you back and then when you mention it when all they want to do is shop in peace, it just creates an adversarial situation. So, no, I won't be back. Also, the two workers were loudly talking about how overworked and underpaid they were. They didn't even care if they were overheard! Very unprofessional and gospel music and talking about god on the radio, no thanks.

They go above and beyond with their safety and I've never had an issue here. * They have all the targets you can choose from and they're inexpensive. * Plenty of rental handguns and/or rifles to choose from. * Team members and knowledgeable and just nice. Not condescending or over-the-top like some places. They don't walk around with their overly visible side-arms, extra mags, pocket knife, etc. as visible as possible while they are "police posturing" and delivering their absolute expertise in all things firearms to anyone who walks by them, throughout their whole shift. (you know what I mean and you know who you are) * Clean. The store, the range, the classrooms, the parking lot, the bathrooms. Clean. * Great program offerings. I took my CCW there a number of years ago and it was great. I had a really good time with the instructor and the rest of the class. Thorough and very informative. * The store has a lot to offer. I've only purchased on handgun from Range USA (different location) and I can say that the price was comparable and fair. Would I go back? I would and I would highly recommend. I don't go as much because I had a different company open a nice range less than 5 minutes from my house. Range USA is about 30 minutes from me. But I will say this - I've been to 3 or 4 Range USA locations. They have all been great and I would highly recommend.

While this is a small store, I was impressed with their selection. I was here a couple of months ago and they had a much smaller selection of baseball merchandise. They use the space wisely. They have a larger selection of items for a sport when it is in season. A smaller selection when it is not. They had everything my son needed to play baseball. A great selection of new and used items. Everything I wanted to purchase used I was able to find. The used items were reasonably priced and in good condition. The woman at the checkout counter was nice too. I had no trouble using the Yelp check in coupon. If you are looking to make a few bucks, they had a sign on the door of items they are looking to buy. I will be back in the future for any sporting goods needs.
