According to an article in the Albany Business Review from last year, this mall faces possible foreclosure after former anchor tenants, Market 32 and Big Lots, moved out. In their place, an international supermarket called, Walworld, moved in but on the day I visited the supermarket was clearly closed even though its website indicated that it was supposed to be open. The shelves were not fully stocked. There are other businesses in the mall that seem to be faring better. The Balkan Roots Market features products from the Balkans and has numerous five-star consumer ratings. I must visit. There's a Retro Fitness gym that appears busy. The Dollar Tree is well stocked, clean and very welcoming. There were many customers. The staff was friendly. Amazing Wok, which I've already reviewed, appeared to have a steady stream of customers even though it was after normal lunch hours. Other businesses include a hookah lounge which opens at night, a nail salon and a barber shop. There are a variety of businesses with a lot to offer but they remain hard to find without publicity or promotion. Colonie Plaza is set back about 50 feet north from Central Avenue. It's just east of New Karner Road. Since they are a bit off of the beaten path these businesses might offer an easier shopping experience for some and may prove to be hidden gems.

She was disgustingly rude and not accommodating at all; I did an exchange and she yelled in my face at me about the receipt. I don't appreciate the way that I was treated as a customer. I work with the public daily and I would never treat a customer the way I was treated.
