Tara is awesome! When I scheduled my appointment with her, she was really polite and helpful and offered me tips for before my wax that my previous place had never told me about. Even though I was scheduling for the week before Christmas (with only 4 days notice), she managed to fit me in at a convenient time. When I got there, she really took her time explaining everything to me, and discussing my personal skin care needs. She gave me pointers on improving my overall skin health, but didn't try to push additional services or products on me. I'm not going to pretend that waxing is ever a pleasant experience, but I can say that it hurt less with her than I'd ever experienced before. She used techniques (telling me when to exhale, and holding the skin) that my last place never used, and it really made a difference. She also took the time to give me detailed instructions and tips for aftercare to improve my skin. In addition to her obvious experience, she's a really nice person. Very friendly and helpful, and not intimidating at all (which I think is really important with this sort of personal service!). Her prices are the cheapest I've seen around (I'm not sure what her 'regular prices' are, because she rewards loyalty by offering discounted services if you keep up with your recommended schedule). As for the setting, I feel like it's fine for what you're going for (but I'm not the kind of lady who needs a koi pond where I'm getting waxed). She has a space within a wellness center that is shared with some other service providers. I found the waiting area to be comfortable and relaxing (nice soft music playing). OMG, I love Tara!! Prior to meeting Tara I had an absolutely horrible waxing experience from someone who came recommended. It was so bad I actually got up from the table before the service was completed and walked out. After that I was very reluctant to ever consider waxing again. One day I came upon Tara's groupon and decided to give it another try. Well I am so glad that I did, Tara is amazing. She turned my fears completely around. Her experience and knowledge is second to none, not to mention her incredible personality. She was very thorough in explaining what to do prior to my appointment as well as explained every step of the way during my appointment. I was so impressed with her that I recommended my daughter see her for the same service, which she did, and instantly fell in love with her too! Tara's professionalism and expertise made me feel confident that if I booked her for another service I would get the same fantastic experience. I book a facial with her recently, which was no surprise that it was in fact the best facial I ever had. Tara is not only an excellent service technician but an excellent educator as well. She truly cares about her clients and offers advice on the proper skin care products. In addition, she explains how and when to use them to achieve the best results. Finally Tara is very accommodating in terms of scheduling. I've never had a problem getting an appointment, nor have I ever had to wait for my scheduled service. I absolutely LOVE Tara!! I found Tara's Skin Artistry via Groupon. The very first time I spoke to Tara I was impressed. She was very professional and patient with me and all of the questions I had. She even made suggestions for me to prepare for a less painful waxing experience. The day I arrived for my appointment (which was very easy to find with modern day technology i.e. mapquest), Tara immediately made me feel very welcomed. She brought me in the private room and thoroughly explained how I was to prepare for my waxing. During the waxing she let me know what she was going to do so that I would know what to expect. As a former Customer Service Trainer these attributes are extremely important to me and is exactly what made me return to Tara for additional waxes. I will also be going to Tara in the future for my facials. It is truly a rarity these days in Tara's industry to find someone so dedicated to her profession, and her clients. Had an appointment with Tara it was difficult to find, it was originally hard to book with her she gave me random times almost as if she was picking and choosing when she felt like coming in and the pricing is cheaper than the area but not sure why she's so cheap, I never made it to my appointment, I couldn't find it and I tried calling to let her know but she never answered or called back so I wouldn't make an appointment with Tara again. If anyone else is having this issue I have been going to Esthetics By Jeana which is down the road from where Tara is supposedly located. I get many services from Jeana and now I won't go anywhere else. She is professional, sweet, priced reasonably and she gets me in to her next available appointment, sometimes she comes in early or stays later to accommodate me. I highly recommend Jeana! read more

Tara's Skin Artistry is THE place to go for waxing. She really is the best at what she does. She is very experienced & it shows - it's the best, least painful waxing possible & Tara makes you feel extremely comfortable. I have been getting waxed by Tara for 5 months now (originally bought a groupon). I have nothing but good reviews for her. She has always been very professional and friendly. Yes, she is located in a chiropractors office, but it is a wellness center. There is also a massage therapist there. I know a lot of people who have been waxed in the larger spa type places and they have all hated it. At those places you are a number. They try to fit as many people in as they can. I have been going to Tara for almost a year. She is very nice and professional, . Had a bit of trouble finding her place the first time I went, I called her, and it turns out I was right across the street. I was looking for a raised sign, and it was actually close to the ground. She does not have a big area, but it is very clean and well kept. I would (and have) recommend her to anyone.
