Unfortunately, in today's world, I find it rare to experience any customer service, much less GOOD customer service. If you have found this also to be true, look no further. I'm happy to report that I had the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE experience ever from Lexi at this store!! Briefly, I called this store after trying unsuccessfully to resolve my online order with the 800 customer care number.The 800 customer care agent was extremely rude and kept repeating the same "scripted" statement over and over treating me as if I were stupid! After that horrible experience I was resolved to never shop at BBW again! That was until I called the store and spoke with Lexi. She restored my faith in customer service! Lexi not only resolved the online order issue quickly, she apologized for the negative encounter I had with the 800 agent. Lots have changed since COVID and the pandemic. I love Bath and Body Works; I really do but I just don't like that you have to stand outside the store for almost one hour just to get in. Currently, they are only allowing 13 people in the store at one time; there are about 4 workers so that will only allows 9 customers in the store. I came here yesterday for the sale and the line was super long! I really wanted to shop here so I waited. The girl in the front let one customer in at a time; she paid attention to the customers leaving the store but there was a few occasions where some customers left the store and she was looking down or fixing the bags on the display case. Needless to say, I was getting a little anise. We I reached the front of the line, I was given a bag and the display cart contained lots of sanitizers and hand soaps to sample. When I finally went inside, the displays were beautifully decorated and most items (mainly Christmas ones) were on sell for 75% off. I browsed the store looking at all the new scents they offered like the ones pictured below. I didn't want to spend an excessive amount of time here because I knew people were waiting to get in. I ended up buying two hand soaps (one lemonade scented and the other was cherry vanilla) and I bought one Christmas cookie butter hand lotion which smells absolutely amazing! My grand total only came out to be a little over $5 yay; so inexpensive! I want to come back today for one last shopping trip because starting tomorrow the sell is over (I think so if I am wrong I apologize). NOT my first choice location, I tend to steer clear of the mall, going here can be a bit overstimulating. However, I did recently venture in and stocked UP on the Essential Oil and Aromatherapy selections. I typically only hit the Semi Annual sales at the smaller shops, OR online. I LOVE to gift others BnB items, who doesn't LOVE that? My purchase here was kind of 'meh, not overly friendly here, not rude. Just, 'meh..... I don't need any sales folks "in my face", but I am not exactly a fan of being ignored. If they aren't that busy, I don't understand that part. I had so much fun! I happened to come in during an amazing sale. Select items were buy 3, get 3 free! So off my mother in law & I went to find our amazing items. These holiday scents are to die for! Peppermint anything catches my eye! Tahaitian nights....caught my eye add well. So I stocked up, got my items and! If you are on their email list, you would've had a coupon that gets you $30 off $50!!!! So, down, ,down, down, my total dropped. From $80...to $50...all the way down to under $30! It really pays to be a in their online club. Everyone in here was FABULOUS! They offered me a bag when my hands were full! Talked to me about what was popular, and just really took care of me. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse! My boyfriend and I were walking by the front of the store. I was so tempted to go in but I had sworn off this location since my last visit (the one I reviewed). As we walked by, I said "maybe we'll be safe if we just look at the stuff at the very front of the store". They had a huge display setup that was sticking out of the store and into the walkway of the mall, so we quickly perused the items on display. Unfortunately, we were spotted by an employee who came over and asked if we needed help, what we were looking for, and told us the sales. This was all fine. Then, she pulls out a bottle with a pump and says "we just got this product in a new scent, it's antibacterial as well. Would you like to try it?". Now, when you're standing OUTSIDE of the store and they offer to squirt a clear, liquid product for you to smell into your hands, you'd assume it's hand sanitizer too, right? Wrong! After she squirted it in my and my boyfriends hands and watched us attempt to rub it in, she then alerts us that it is HAND SOAP and tells us that the sinks are in the back of the store. All a way to force us into their shop. I literally cannot deal with this store and their practices. They are insufferable. read more

I stopped in over the weekend to grab some deals and I was immediately turned off with how strong their pumpkin scent was throughout the store. I couldn't smell one lotion or body spray because I was hit hard with pumpkin. It actually was so strong it gave me a headache and I felt sick. I left after I attempted to "smell" 3-4 scents and couldn't. So I ordered online. Wasn't in the mood to pay for shipping but I don't know when I'll be back inside that store. Last week I was working out of town in the Roseville galleria and walked past bath and body works on my break when I saw they had started their Black Friday sales. Morgan and Taren were very kind and explained to me all of their deals and promotions sold me on the buy 3 get 3 free and up sold me 4 of the $40 gift boxes. I walked out very pleased with their service and with my purchase. I usually come in here all the time and I don't mind it being busy, given that it's Christmas time. Super annoying though when you get bombarded by employees who give you the same spiel about the sales even though I told them I already know about it. Then the cashier Mandy. Super rude doesn't even say hi or NOTHING! Quickly rings up my stuff and by the time I look up she's talking all fast and rolling her eyes. I get it you're trying to get the line moving and it's busy but if your going to be a cashier the least you could have is some customer service and not look like a miserable troll. I normally don't go to the B&BW in the mall because their employees are ridiculously aggressive, and the store is too crowded, but I was bored. Three seconds after walking in there with my mom, we were bombarded by an aggressive employee welcoming us. After stating we were here to just browse, she continues trying to suss out what we are looking for, clearly ignoring our cues for her to back off. My mom basically says she was there tagging along with me, since she refuses to buy anything from the store since they phase out her favorite scents, which immediately annoyed the woman, finally leaving us alone. I usually go to the one across the street as I avoid "the mall" at all costs but I was here and had a coupon. It is at the end of the mall that I never venture so the likelihood of me returning is low just for that reason. Otherwise it is like any other BBW. Lots of sales staff there to help you and explain the promos which is good because there is always something going on. Get on their mailing list and you always get a nice set of coupons that usually includes a free item and a % off your purchase. My husband buys more here than I do because he has severe dry skin. I find that most of their stuff is too strong of a fragrance so it is hard to find something light that does not smell like soap. I miss their milk line that was pretty plain. I do get their handsoaps and the wall flowers plug in regularly. Overall good product with a good value pricing. read more

Ok, first of all I understand that things are tough out there for retailers... I'm in retail. There is a delicate balance between ignoring your guest and overwhelming them and hovering. Unfortunately, I had an experience where it seemed like no one would leave me alone. Even when I tried certain verbal cues like, "I'm just looking, thank you" and "I'm good, I just want to look around"... Um, is that confusing? I don't think so. It's just not ok to jump on someone when they are browsing. I could even maybe understand it if it was only one person... it wasn't. It was EVERY SINGLE PERSON THERE. I have been in this location before and it has never been this bad, hence the 2 stars as opposed to 1. Friday was the first day I have ever stepped foot in this location and the lady started off VERY Badly. Barely stepped foot in the store and she was down every single person throat. I understand you make commission, I understand you want to provide customer service. But when more than one customer tells you to back off you are coming off as very pushy and they just want to look. This place has some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. Not only were the employees very UNHELPFUL but one employee in particular was incredibly disrespectful, arrogant and rude. I believe his name was Joel. He said he was a manager and he had dark hair that was dyed a color. On multiple occasions I saw him verbally abusive towards his employees and extremely rude to customers. The candles are great, but will not be returning to this location purely due to the fact that their employees are tacky and trashy. I think that this store is a good buy if you buy it on sale. Though i may warn you, the scents of some of the body spritz are a little nauseating, and can give you headaches. you can also break out if you are allergic to it, and i would HIGHLY reccomend to test it before buying it just in case your allergic or you dont like the smell or that it gives you a headache. if you dont have any of those problems, this is a great store to get all your relaxation needs. i will give it 3 stars. read more

I usually also go to the one across from the Galleria when I am home visiting my family from San Francisco. I was in the mall and decided to stock up on some of my favorite items. A guy named Marshall immediately greeted me with a friendly smile and was so helpful. He even went as far as finding a similar scent for one that hadn't released yet for me. I usually never walk out of stores due to poor customer service. I totally understand that employees are usually just doing their job to get commission and we're all human so we can make mistakes. However, I was asked 5 times in a row by the same employee to smell their new scent as soon as I walked in the entrance. Each time increasingly more aggressive. I'm currently 5 months pregnant and very picky about what smells I put right up to my nose. I told this employee I was just browsing and wanted to be left alone. Even though I was visibly uncomfortable and continuously denying her request to smell their new scent, she just got angrier that I wouldn't give in. She was so aggressive that I walked out of the store right then and there and drove to the location across the street. Don't waste your time at the mall location, do yourself a favor and go to the standalone store near Burlington Coat Factory. Much more relaxed and the employees are super sweet. read more
