I've had multiple frustrating experiences with this Bath & Body Works location. Most recently, the store could see that I had redeemed a reward, but refused to honor it and told me I needed to take it up with customer service. So the reward showed as used, but I received no benefit from it. This is not a one-off issue. I've also dealt with price discrepancies and last-minute cancellations on pickup orders. I like the products most of the time, but the customer experience has become unreliable and frustrating. A rewards program should not require customers to chase down basic account issues after the store can already see the reward was redeemed. read more

This Bath & Body Works has a shared passageway into the neighboring White Barn which is their fancier line of products. The White Barn area had more of the seasonal products whereas the other side had a larger area of their staple scents. There are registers on both sides and you can pay for products from either store at either check out. I felt like this store had fewer tester specific bottles. We asked an associate if it was okay to open the bottles to sniff and we were given the go ahead. This system while convenient wasn't that great since a lot of the bottles were sticky. Luckily they do have a sink in the Bath & Body Works side so you can wash your hands. This one didn't have soaps for you to test while washing your hands which was a shame and the garbage bin for the paper towels was overflowing. It was a busy day (all hand soaps were $2.50!) so I can understand them being a little overwhelmed. Speaking of the deal of the day, we were told by an associate that they had special aromatherapy scented soaps that were only available that day. If you are a Bath & Body Works fanatic, definitely drop by to find out when they have those limited time products. Also we learned this trip that the ingredients for the same flavor of soap may differ in foam soaps versus their luxe soaps, so it's worth smelling both. We found a bunch of great seasonal scents and stocked up, with our favorite being the luxe iced cinnamon roll. Warning: these soaps aren't edible even though you might want them to be! read more

Wow.. this review is LONG overdue! Bath & Body Works never fails to provide me with delicious smelling bath products. I had always been a loyal fan of The Body Shop until I moved to the States but now I can't imagine getting my products from anywhere other then here. I've been visiting this store for close to 3 years now and every time they have great deals - buy 2 get 2 free, 4 for $15 on soaps, 2 for $20 on Candles to name a few. I have so many products now I could quite easily not need to buy more until 2015. Their after Christmas sale is awesome and this last year I walked out with $133 worth of matching shower gels and body lotions for just for $34! The scents are nice and light so they don't overpower any perfume you may wear and if you do want a stronger scent it's easy to layer with as they have multiple products in almost every scent. My favorite has to be the Aruba Coconut which is only available during Summer. Staff are always really friendly here and are always happy to help read more

Why does BBW keep sending me a free birthday gift with purchase. They did it last year, they did it this year. But the offer is only good for a small number of stores. Birthday gifts are not good here in the bay area. Wanna go to Ohio? That said, the employees here are terrific once I FOUND the store. The semiannual clearance was going on and I found some nice big tubes of body lotion. Big selection of soaps, candles etc all marked down nicely. If I had more room, I would have bought more but hubby was trying not to glare while still being supportive. And my new years resolution is not to overbuy...too much. read more

We tried to order online but the selection was limited and many items were sold out or getting sold out before we could finalize orders. I lost interest but some coworkers went in this evening and stated there were no lines for them and it was fully stocked. I came to check this out myself. There was a line but I was 3rd and quickly got in within minutes. Sure enough, this location was ridiculously well organized and stocked! Came in on candle day. Nothing was advertised about it so I asked and they confirmed it is in fact candle day and their candles are on sale. After about 15 minutes of shopping and a full bag of candles they tell me it's cash only. I ask if I can hold my items and be charged once their machines are back up and running (I obviously want to use my credit card) they say no and they say they cannot lock the price in for me. What a waste of time! Maybe you should tell your customer that it's cash only before they start shopping or advertise it. Poorly managed store. read more

I have to say that I love that I walked in to this store and was greeted right away! I always come to this one when they have sales because they have an amazing selection!! I usually ALWAYS have coupons and Katrina is the person I usually go to! Tall beautiful woman and she remembers me every time I walk in and greets me right away. I always feel like I am home walking in here. I went yesterday and bought there new smell goods Wild Madagascar Vanilla and it smells so good!!! OMG! I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE SMELL!! I was able to use my coupons and got GREAT customer service support from Martianna who seems like she was a knew worker but she took her time to really help me see what coupons were best to use. I thank her so much for taking the time to do so. As Martianna was ringing up my purchase we also had the help from Jemell who was around and was nice enough to overhear my conversation about the best coupons to use and he helped right away to let myself as well as Martianna know what coupons were more beneficial. My husband and I went in to get a specific candle; unfortunately it was a seasonal candle and they didn't have them in stock anymore, although this was a little disappointing (I wish I asked for her name) but one of the employees helped us look around for a new scent and gave us some great recommendations. Once we were done getting candles I decided to grab some lotion. As I was looking at the perfume and telling my husband I was looking for this scent but in lotion, Tara came by and pointed me in the direction of a whole section dedicated to this specific scent I was looking for. Not only did she point me in the right direction, but she gave me time to look at the products by myself which was nice! But as I noticed there was two different kinds of lotions I started looking on the backs of each one to see what the difference was. That's when Tara read my mind! She noticed and came right over to help explain what the differences are and asked if my hands get super dry or just a little dry and then recommended the right lotion for me! A friend and I were standing in line (mind you not many people in the store and we were the only ones in line). 3 people behind the register. One seemed to be a manager reprimanding an employee. I was looking for some products to add to a gift basket I wanted to make when I came across Bath and Body works. Knowing that my friend is a huge fan of their products, I decided to nix the basket idea and make a gift set here. The products are solid; they smell wonderful and have lotions, bodywash, perfume, etc. in various scents that appeal to all different types of people. During the holidays they also bring new scents in (I got the Winter Apple.. delicious!!!). What I really wanted to review was the customer service. Everyone there is happy and attentive. They really know their products and it was clear they wanted me to have a great experience at the store. And, the lady at the counter arranged the items perfectly in a cute little gift bag!! New manager is super nice and personable. However there is an employee by the name of Dia that was super rude to me over the phone. I have been waiting for a handsoap that has been out of stock for probably close to 8 months. She told they get it in but then a single customer buys all of them. How is that fair? So as I am asking her about when is it coming in again, she doesn't know, does not offer any type of information, she starts getting an attitude then raises her voice and starts talking over me and says "I know it's not what you want to hear, but that's the way it is". How dare you speak to a customer like that? I'm assuming she does not work there any longer or she had given notice because clearly she does not give a frick! read more

But beware.. the ASSistant manager Marlena, does not know what customer service is and my yelp review is based on her terrible, terrible customer service. I had paid for something at another register where they kept the wallflower scents. I was with my sister in law, so when I went up to her after I was done, I told her I had a coupon code for her to use. Marlena, the ASSistant manager, said we weren't able to use the same coupon that is WIDELY distributed from retailmenot.com because the code could only be used once. Wow, really? That seems very unlikely that everyone was using a different code from Retail Me Not. It was their in-store coupon save $10 when you spend $30 deal. Not to mention that it's the same promo they are offering online with the ONE coupon code, RELAX10. Anyway, the other person that helped me previously said that i could walk out real quick and look up the coupon on my phone since the internet/cellular service was shoddy in the back of the store (kudos for her!) and that she would suspend my transaction until I got back. So, I thought I could do that with my sister in law. When I went out, some nice lady gave me her coupon to use instead of having me look it up on my iphone. As soon as I got back and handed it to Marlena, she told us we had to get back to the end of the line because we got out of it -- no, sorry, we did not. My sister in law stood there waiting for me to get back. She refused to help us at that point. So I went back to the other register I was at before and asked to speak to the manager. At that point, I didn't know the ASSistant manager was Marlena, so when the associate brought me over to her, I was appalled! How could a manager treat their customers like that?! We stood in line already and she refused to let us use a coupon code that is a store wide generic code, and to top it off, refused to serve us after we found another code within a minute. Obviously we didn't spend a buttload of money here to receive SUPERIOR customer service, however, I at least expected her to service us since we were standing there the ENTIRE time. This situation prompted me to have to write a review about the ASSistant manager, Marlena. Your company can't survive with piss poor customer service. Marlena, you are very young and have a lot to learn about how to treat your customers. I am not even sure how you even got promoted to being a manager. Maybe you should be trained by your cashiers who have better service than you. Avoid Marlena like a plague. Bath and Body Works products are lovely, but they have to do a better job at hiring managers. This one is no bueno! read more

This is my go to store to buy my go to gifts (everyone has to shower, right?). When they have their sales (which is almost always since there is always some kind of deal going on), the prices are very reasonable. Throw in a coupon and it's like Christmas came early. When they have their semi annual clearance, you can get shower gels for as low as $3.50. It goes down more if you have a coupon (which are given when you make purchase prior to the sale). The staff here have always been kind, courteous, and helpful whenever I walk in. Most of their scents are way too strong for me, but there are a few that are light enough and those are the ones that I stick to (praying that they don't get discontinued). read more

I love Bath & Body works, the one in Colma. But this location, I will never go to again. While I was looking for some lotion, I saw a lady stealing lotions and fragrances. She took bottles and bottles off the shelf and put them in her purse and walked out of the store. I told the worker that a Chinese woman just stole their product and the worker didn't even care! The lady who stole from Bath & Body Works was right behind the workers back. I then told another worker that a lady just walked out of the store after stealing their products and I told them to get security, but they did absolutely nothing! Obviously they don't care about lost revenue and stolen products. Maybe the workers were in on it. It seems like it with the way they did not care that they were just robbed. They didn't even thank me for telling them that someone had just stolen from them. Never again will I shop at this location. read more
