What's not to love about Lush! You can smell this store a mile away. This is a higher end skincare and bath product store. Lush products are expensive primarily due to their commitment to high-quality, ethically sourced, and fresh ingredients, coupled with hand-manufacturing processes. The cost reflects substantial investments in ethical trade, plant-based ingredients, high-grade essential oils, and, for many items, minimal packaging. Other factors include significant labor, R&D, and brand positioning as a luxury, ethical brand. I love their shower gels, Sleepy (lavender scented), Good Karma (patchouli and orange scented) and Rose Jam (rose and lemon scented) are my all time favorites. The Deep Sleep Massage Bar has lavender, chamomile and magnesium. I use this on my feet and as it warms up, it melts right into your skin. The Pumice Power bar is great for scrubbing your feet in the shower. It has a nice fine grit that gently scrubs away dry skin. The Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar has cinnamon and peppermint oils to soothe sore muscles. Elbow Grease is the best moisturizing bar. It's designed to melt on contact and really helps moisturize my dry elbows. This stuff is magic! The Cucumber Eye Pads and the Rose Eye Pads are my favorite!! These are refrigerated and feel amazing on my eyes. Lush has almost every product available for testing and even provides take home samples. I love the take home samples, this allows me to try the products at home before purchasing. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and happy to help. Eden helped us today and she was amazing. Showed us a few products that we were interested in and also helped me download their app to earn points for rewards. The products can be very pricey but makes an awesome gift. They have an assortment of bath bombs, lotions and shower gels. They even have shampoos & conditioners, skincare and makeup too. At this location, the sales team are very friendly and helpful. My friend and I had a great time sampling lotions, soaps, and perfumes. Recently, there was a little "oopsie" with an online order I picked up at the store and when I called the store they were incredibly sweet and the manager went above and beyond rectifying the situation. I started getting into Lush around June and since then I've been going at least once every month!! I've been to a few other locations further away but this is my favorite one so far. I consider myself still fairly new to Lush as I'm unfamiliar with a lot of their products, so I typically come in with several questions in mind and the staff are always able to help me out and give me product advice according to my skin/hair type and needs. The employees are very attentive and social-- which a lot of people don't like and, honestly, I usually dread that myself when I go shopping anywhere, but that's never the case with the staff at this location! I usually see Kimberly, Shelby, Sofia, and Dakota and they're all very pleasant to talk with!! I always end up spending almost an hour at the store mostly talking to them and I can tell they're passionate about their job and the products they sell. A few of them have even gone above and beyond for me (involving freebies!), which I really appreciate. From the items I've tried so far, the products themselves are great as well. I usually stick with hair/body/skincare & fragrances rather than things like bath products. I do find Lush to be pretty pricey and it hurts a little when I realize a product doesn't really work for me, but the staff here are very generous with samples and very open with returns and exchanges so I rarely end up disappointed with a purchase. read more

I have been coming to lush for years. But on my last visit I met a truly lovely human being. I forgot to ask their pronouns, I only know their drag name: De La Rosa. They were warm and welcoming as soon as I walked into the store. When I asked them to refer me a conditioner for curly hair they pointed me to two options. I ended up picking The moisturizing conditioner. And it was the first one they referred. It works amazing on my hair I was at the beach all weekend and in the pool. That conditioner saved my hair. I am so grateful!!! They also told me about the recycling program which I had no idea about. I've been coming to the store for years and I never knew that if you return some of the pots they will recycle them. And addition to that if you bring in 5 they give you a free face mask! I told them my problem areas and they had the best recommendations. I talked to Sofia about my dry skin and she recommended the beauty sleep mask which I am obsessed with now! I usually love LUSH- why wouldn't you. Today's experience was a bit different though. I walked by and was so excited to see they had the scrub bees back! If you know anything you know these are amazing. As we were standing in line to go in we were yelled at to come in by a young lady at the register she yelled to get Sanitizer as we walked in. I did it and entered got my bees and went to the register. I'm waiting my turn I see some of their signature smells and I start looking I spray on my wrist this same young lady her name is Vivian yells again and tells me to don't do that and anyone can bring it to me to smell but don't spray it. Ok. It wasn't what said it was her tone and the fact that now I'm being yelled at again! I'm walking up to the register and my phone asks me to see my face I touch my mask to bring it out slightly and she yells again to please leave my mask on! That's it you've yelled at me three times. I get it, I may have done things I shouldn't have and I'm all for covid safety, but for me the yelling is unacceptable. Vivian you dropped the ball today- think about HOW you speak to customers it can make all the difference between a repeat customer or not. I went into Lush Topanga with my 8 year old daughter today. It was our first time ever in a Lush store. Dustin helped us out and they were so awesome and patient and helpful. My curious 8 year old was excited about the bath bombs and Dustin let her try one and explained to her all about them. First all, let me say that I'm jealous that they opened a Lush store up here and not one in San Diego! I was visiting relatives and we stumbled upon this shop, I freaked out for a good minute and my cousins just replied "yeah, they just opened a few months ago". As much as I love Lush products, I hate having to order it online or make a trip up to San Francisco to get the products. Now, it's just 3 hours drive from me *groans*. Seriously guys, open a shop in San Diego, please! I came here and sampled some of their cosmetics because even though I've been a loyal customer of Lush for many years, it's mainly for the sugar scrubs and facial cleansers like Herbalism, Fresh Farmacy and coal face. I also love their Tea tree toner spray that I use everyday. I ended up leaving here with a few loose powders, lip balms and lipsticks and lotions. I was in Lush heaven! The associates here are very helpful and they didn't push me to buy anything. In fact, they helped my cousin out with her skin since she's a teenager and has teenage acne. Lush is a little pricey but I will say that it's worth it since it's not animal tested and they use natural ingredients.
