What a great experience I had working with John Beal roofing. I win advertently stumbled across a…read moreroofing issue while our contractors were working on something else inside the house. John Beal Who was the roofing contractor for this house many years ago. We have only lived here four years and had not had any issues until now. Within a few days, Will was out looking at it. And very quickly Tara put us on the schedule and communicated well what was to be expected. They even got us in earlier than the original date! Josh was the tech, was super awesome also! Hi highly recommend John Beal !

I hired John Beal Roofing in April 2025 for a gazebo metal roof installation. The project was not…read morecompleted until January 2026, and the process involved repeated delays, missed appointments, and significant communication issues. Throughout the project, there were multiple occasions when I was told crews would arrive and they did not, resulting in lost time, schedule disruptions, and frustration. There were also repeated delays due to various issues, including vehicle problems and product-related issues. The project had several ordering and communication problems. The first product delivered was the wrong color, and the company acknowledged that error. The replacement product appeared different from what had been represented in emails from their representative. I had not received an actual color sample, and after the delays already experienced, I accepted the color to avoid further delays. However, additional delays continued due to issues with the skylight, including miscommunication regarding the order and a damaged product being received. Communication throughout the project was one of my biggest concerns. I was often not kept updated on progress or changes. There were multiple occasions when crews arrived without advance notice, despite being specifically instructed that I needed to be notified by phone or text before anyone came to my property. Additionally, I was unable to communicate directly with the onsite crew and had to rely on third parties to relay questions, instructions, and information, which added another challenge to an already difficult process. During one unannounced visit, the crew left my gate open while they were still on my property, and my dogs got loose. Thankfully, no one was injured, but I sustained a foot injury while trying to retrieve them. I notified the company and provided updates while seeking medical care, including a specialist visit. Despite being informed of the incident and my ongoing medical care, I never received acknowledgment of what happened, an apology, or any follow-up from the company. I am still dealing with residual issues from this injury. While the roof has now been installed, the overall experience was far more stressful than it should have been. My recommendation to anyone considering using John Beal Roofing is to make sure all scheduling expectations, communication requirements, and project details are clearly documented upfront and followed throughout the process.

We had several quotes (few in the 6 digits). My husband and I just couldn't agree on which one to choose from. The quotes were either too high or did not on design, and sometimes both. I called STL Design and Build Design, setup an appointment as my last resort. STL Design sent Tom Levinson. Mr. Levinson arrived earlier than time with his assistant. This is definitely a rare. We went through the areas for remodeling. Tom sat me down and listen to all I wanted to do. Then it came down to the details and pricing. The wants an can't live without. We finished with an estimated quote that we were very happy with. Tom was wonderful. He gave me sound advice on my selections for the kitchen remodel. He went through the cost, time-line, and process. Tom went to warehouses with me for selections on the items. Matthew Pevehouse, thank goodness for him. I had a family emergency out-of-state. Matt took care of everything for us. The whole crew were wonderful. Matt took pictures and kept me up to date. If there was an issue it was quickly resolved. My husband and I are thrilled with the results. The look is absolutely fabulous, the craftsmanship and quality of products excellent, and done on time. Thank You STL for a wonderful experience. After a successful and responsive refinishing project I had high hopes for painting of my interior…read morehome. All started well enough, and we got things started. I was under the impression that these were direct employees of his, his crew. Basically he was acting as a general contractor that hired another company or hired some people looking for work. Not really sure here. I realize I made some changes, but they were clear and written in a revised proposal. I didn't want the doors painted, then I got a phone call that they were painted. Sure, he didn't charge me for this, but that is proper after all. I didn't want the trim painted, and paid for that, because I missed it in the proposal. My fault. They also painted the hardware for opening/closing the windows, those were metal and need the proper paint, I did have them take that off. The house didn't have flooring in, so I was asked about drop cloths, I said use them but don't worry too much about a few paint splatters. However, I did indicate that I wasn't removing the slate flooring and to be careful. Here is a big fail, many paint spots. He tried to have them clean it up. Now the floor is sticky, you can here the soles of your shoes and feel it too. He tried cleaning that up, when it wasn't done, he offered to do it again. I really felt he had done enough. I'm still trying to find a way to clean this up, because it's sticky any dust or what not sticks to it. It's really upsetting, as I loved this detail. I will look to bring in some professionals and see what this will set me back. There's also spots on the bathroom floors, which were also said that I wasn't removing. And those doors that were painted, they weren't dry and were closed, now that paint has popped off, so I have to touch that up, or maybe just start replacing doors. I realize also this review is a year since the work was done, I was in the middle of doing the rest of the work this last year. I almost considered them for doing the kitchen rehab. I really feel I dodged a bullet there. Noah, is a nice man, I think his intentions are good. However, the whole interior project was a mess, left me very frustrated, and I have projects left to do because of it. I don't think he checked up on the work as it was being done, and I don't think he looked at it after until I contacted him. Paint shouldn't have been on that slate, nor should you stick to your floor. I also had to point on paint spots on light fixtures, that should've been cleaned. Just no.
