Do not use! The experience started with a salesman who assured us not to worry, there would be no extra charges later. Told us Bath fitter has their own plumbers and plumbing would be included even when we mentioned how old the plumbing and house was. We scheduled dates for the work. He asked us specifically if it would be ok to work on the Saturday after they start in case they needed an extra day to finish. (Later when they needed that day, Bath fitter told us that they do not work on weekends and would have to finish on Monday!) Bath fitter hired a third party plumber to do the plumbing and wanted to charge us an extra $2,300. This is after they made a horrendous mess by not using any protective plastic to stop the dust from traveling all over the entire house and leaving the debris to settle on everything! The air in the house was so bad you couldn't even see two feet through the dust near where they were working and we had to take my sick, elderly mom out of the house to get fresh air during the work. This is not how this type of work is supposed to be performed. They also broke a porcelain toothbrush holder that was attached to the sink tile and original to the house. Another issue is that the water now pools in the shower basin after a shower because it was not completed properly. This was supposed to be an easy alternative to a bathroom remodel for elderly parents who didn't want to have stress and disrupt their lives. It was the complete opposite. read more

Our house if over 100 years old and we bought it 5 years ago. We had Bath fitters put a tub on top of our old one which was awful. We used some of the products they recommended to clean it but we can't get the tub clean. Wanted to know if anyone else is having that problem? read more

Bath Fitter isn't the same company it used to be. There customer service has turned for the worst. The price you pay and the service you get is unreliable. I wanted them to come and re fix the caulking along the bottom of my shower they installed in March. They came in May and re-caulked it. I thought it was going to last. Now the caulking is coming up. They want to charge me to fix it. Remind you, they just installed my shower in March and they had to come back and re fix the caulking and now it's coming back up again. I paid over seven thousand dollars for them to do my shower. It's only been six months and their work isn't holding up. I would never recommend this company to anyone. The salesperson showed up exactly on time, and let me browse various samples while he took the necessary measurements. I really appreciated the fact that he did not pressure me at all. In fact, he encouraged me to take my time and to get back to him whenever I made a decision. And I definitely did take my time... several months, in fact. But eventually decided to take the plunge and set up an installation. I live in a co-op, and I was pleased with how Bath Fitter streamlined the required approval procedures with the co-op management company. There was a bit of paperwork I had to submit, but nothing complicated, and Bath Fitter worked with the management company to make sure all of the licenses, contracts, etc, were submitted correctly. It was mostly behind-the-scenes, and no headache for me. The installer showed up on time (just one guy), and was pleasant and respectful of my property and of the co-op rules. He dealt with the outdated plumbing in my shower, ripping out the old fixtures, and replacing some old pipes behind the walls at no additional cost. The whole install took two days because I had the entire room done-- a new shower/tub surround and wainscoting around the rest of the bathroom. If I'd just had the shower/tub done, it would have been done in one day. Doing the wainscoting required the removal and reinstallation of the vanity, which took extra time, but the installer handled it all very well. He even replaced my old shut-off valves while he was at it. The only "problem" encountered was extremely minor, and barely qualifies as a problem at all: The installer realized he was missing part of the towel rod, so he installed what he had and assured me he'd come back the following evening to finish. I was nervous about him forgetting, but he arrived the next day, exactly as promised and took care of it in a matter of minutes. So far, I'm extremely satisfied with the whole process and the end result. The room looks much better than it did before, and although the material is a form of plastic, it feels and looks so much more high-end than the types of generic plastic tub surrounds I typically find in vacation rentals. Bath Fitter is not cheap, but it is cheaper than a full gut job, and perhaps more importantly if you live in home with just one bathroom, as I do, it's MUCH quicker and less disruptive. read more

Bathfitter did out bathroom about two years ago and we are having issues with them since. The sales rep lied telling us that he would give us a bunch of courtesy accessories, which never happened. When they come to install, they brought the wrong shower door which we let go as we were fine with that. The installer change our sink and change the pipes which caused a big issue. For some reason, it was not included on their work order so we had to fix it ourselves. The shower had felt and broke twice. First time they came and fixed, second time, we are here waiting for it to be fixed for almost 3 weeks and nothing. They sent a guy with the wrong part as if they don't know what we have installed. Also, the customer service is HORRIBLE, I got yelled and ignored for just trying to get them to fix their horrible job. You need to be MAD to hire their services. Our installers were top notch. Nyron and Juan did an incredible job. They were so respectful and willing to make magic in a bathroom that was long overdue for a Reno. Michelle Donato was also incredibly helpful in navigating this process. She held my hand the entire time. When I was confused about the details of some of the finishing Moulding Sabrina set me up with Mia and Anthony (The Ant man I call him) in the New Jersey office. They apologized and gave him a substantial gift card from Amazon, so they went up considerably in my estimation, and I would happily use their services if we ever upgrade our own bathroom. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. They installed incorrectly and broke pipes. We did not know until the basement flooded right into the new sheet rocked ceilings and new LED high hats. So they sent a plumber. The plumber neglected to shut off the main correctly and left a slow but steady leak in a rarely used part of the basement. This leaked and we did not realize until the concrete which is very porous could not absorb any more water. Needless to say we had a huge water damage and mold situation which required remediation at our expense. We were instructed by the restoration company White Glove Restoration to leave the industrial blowers and dehumidifiers going 24/7 bc the concrete was soaked. If we didn't we would have an additional (new) mold colonies growing. This made our electric bill increase by about 100- to 120.00 dollars per month. They refused to communicate with us. We called corporate and we're told we had to call the franchise. We did so to no avail. So we called Ally bank who financed the service. They were sent numerous emails, photos and video but decided the matter was resolved. Of course, Bath Fitters nor the bank care. I am paying the payments on time each month because I am contractually obligated to do so. What are Bath Fitters' contractual obligations? To provide competent and quality service, right? Well, they are neither competent or quality service providers. If I could attach pics and video here, I would. Bottom line, Do NOT trust Bath Fitter. They are not a customer service driven company. We had Bath-fitters in to do our bathroom. They came and handled it all smoothly, and the job seemed to be completed successfully. Fast forward, to about a year later, while upgrading our bathroom floor, our super attempted to removed the sink. He immediately stopped when he looked at the valves underneath. He explained to us that the valves used were not to spec and posed a safety hazard. We got on the phone with Angela from Bath-fitters hoping to have someone stop by and take care of the issue by changing the valves, but she quickly became argumentative, and insisted that our super, NOT Bath-fitters had worked on the sink last and that Bath-fitters was not responsible for the bad water valves. Angela was dismissive, condescending, and patronizing during our conversations. After agreeing to send someone to come look at the valves, she called back and began to argue with my wife about sending someone over. We are disgusted with this company, and will tell everyone possible how bad, rude, and incompetent that they are! We want to vomit just thinking how awful their customer service is. If you are reading this review on Bathfitters, please heed my warning! Such Poor workmanship for this product. I am Really disappointed with the work from Bathfitters. Thousands of $ were spent on this renovation in my tiny bathroom with plastic sheets of fake tile installation that is coming apart at the seams and corners. All hardware installed (towel rack, curtain rod and toilet paper holder) was falling off the walls within the week of install. Unacceptable! DO NOT GO WITH BATHFITTERS!! I guess they don't like to use mollies or its an added expense reducing profit. The tub water hardware is not centered see pics!! (and this cannot be fixed now) The shower head drips directly into the tray I purchased from them. Bad placement and zero advice or guidance/recommendation on where to place it. Spend a tad more and get a real renovation and tiles etc... oh my god what a mistake!! I could have gone with a professional job with real ceramic or glass tiles for similar $ & I chose bath fitters. I want my money back. This is an abomination. My husband wants to rip it out or have it removed because it looks horrible and like we're inside a self refurbished trailer/mobile home with its low budget appearance. I called and was told that a tech would be there but the date was 2 weeks AFTER installation - everyone told me 10k and I still cannot use my shower!!! When the tech came it took min to fix !!! Everyone said that a tech should have been sent first thing in the morning! On top of that they called me and sent me an additional amount of 600$ is owed! 2 diff people told me what my balance was! Even without the problems I can say it looks good from afar but there are imperfections and cutting the plastic to fit while in my bathroom left plastic shards everywhere. The one star is because I had to have them come back because the faucet was sticking out, not flush from the wall, and there is now a drip. They came back and assured me it was fine as it is before finally fixing the faucet. Top notch. Lifetime warranty replaced my tub after 16 years and we added an entire surrounding wall. They repaired and replaced the green board. The combination of the tub, with the wall, moldings, and some additions made our bathroom look stunning. A visit to the showroom in Copiague was enlightening. Everyone was helpful and knowledgeable, the store was run like an extremely well-oiled machine, without a doubt, 100% satisfaction with the departments and the communication. We had our tub reglazed in 1996 and it lasted 26 years but definitely needed an overhaul. We contacted Bath Fitter and set up an appointment with their representative, Matt Murphy. Matt showed up at our home right on schedule. He was personable and extremely knowledgeable. We loved his presentation and suggestions. We signed with him for a tub, tub-to-ceiling wall alcove, new plumbing fixtures, and accessories even though we suffered sticker shock with the quoted price. We signed without shopping because we trusted the salesman. We set up the installation date for yesterday. Yesterday the installer showed up on time, laid out protective floor mats from our entry door to the bathroom, and went to work. Eight hours later we saw our beautiful new tub and enclosure. Their product is very high-quality acrylic and their installation was perfection personified. You get what you pay for! read more

Mario of Bath Fitter came today right on time (estimate between 8:30 to 10:30am, arrived at 9am), he spent the entire day until 5:15pm installing our tub liner, replacing the soap dish, removing our shower doors and track and replacing it with a new one, and removing our old toilet and replacing it with a new one. Mario worked by himself, answered all of our questions, explained things to us clearly and in a manner we all understood, was professionally and friendly all day. He was so dedicated to his work, the lunch I bought him (and my family) at @1:30pm he didn't touch until closer to 5pm (totally unnecessary but wow such dedication!!). The work done is exceptional and professional, nice and clean and no remnants of any debris left whatsoever. This company is deceptive and has no respect for their customers. The price is absolutely insane for what they are doing, but I foolishly signed the contract assuming that their work would be stellar. Months later, they have still not fulfilled their obligations, per the contract. They have delayed our install twice due to mistakes that they made, and there's absolutely no way to get in contact with anybody who can give you real answers to your questions. I would never recommend this company and will never be using them again. I just had some work done in my bathroom at my new place on 6/13/2019 by this company, and as I was so excited for it, I was let down with the whole process. Let me just say that I am DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED with the whole process. First, It took TWO DAYS,NOT ONE DAY for them to complete the job as they state. They SCREWED up BIG TIME!!!! I ordered the white B board they bring the marble gray, they put one wall of the marble b board up when I noticed that it was the wrong color, I went over the order and the workers confirmed that it stated white, the workers told us that once it's up they CANNOT take it down and they will have to put the white one on top.. REALLY!!! I contacted the sales rep Rob Zanca who confirmed that we did ordered white, and speak to workers, I was baffled when he said that. so they continued with putting up shower and handle up.the tub and tub wall were completed but there was a blk stain on my tub and the soap dish stand was NOT placed in the middle after I told them i wanted it in the middle of the wall, at the end of that day 6:00pm at that, the worker advised me to go over the work they did and let him know the next day of any concerns we had. the next day is here and I I asked him to go over the corking because there were a lot of gaps. He did go over the corking and OMG!!! What a disaster!! The next day approaches and I voiced my concerns, he advised that he could not remove soap dish and that the wall cannot be removed once it's up, ARE THEY REALLY SERIOUS!!! I called Rep Rob Zanca again and advised that if this is not corrected, I want the work to be stopped, and my money refunded, he with no hesitation advised me to talk to workers, that was the last I heard from the Rep. I received a call from a Lauren and explained the disaster and she spoke with workers and advised to carefully remove the soap dish, in which it did come off the wall and placed in middle as I requested the first time, the blk stain was removed but THE CORKING GOT WORST as they cont. the work, BUT wait!!! It gets better they measure the b board and the measurements were incorrect, AGAIN!!! We had to wait for both soap dish and right size of b board to be delivered. My contract also stated for workers to put up shower rod, towel rack and toilet paper holder we ASKED them not to put it up because of all the screw up that has happened since day one.. I WANTED THESE PEOPLE OUT OF MY HOME! We did it ourselves. PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE!!! READ ALL REVIEWS BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They are NOT professional nor well trained as the Sales Rep. or company states. This was a sloppy job done and NOT worth the $7,500. spent. The sales rep. I give this company zero stars, It has been a nightmare, Dec 8th installation; first problem Mike a service tech came and said it was the gasket they put it upside down he fixed that and said if there's still a problem it could be the floor liner or the drain, that was a Friday he said he couldn't fix that and someone would come on Monday and that I should be compensated for the wait which I was not. Monday the 15th of December Delroy said their was no sealant around the drain which he put on, Kim said she was going to send an Amazon card for compensation never got that their a fraud!! Delroy came on the 29th of December he opened the back shower wall and it was a shark bite which I agreed was not Bathfitters responsibility my personal plumber fixed that. The following interaction I called because the water was backing up I called them spoke to Randy a disrespectful rude obnoxious so called customer service manager, he said my plumber must have dropped sometimes the drain I told him he never touched the drain, Randy's rude disrespectful response was when they left it was working that it wasn't their concern; my response was so nothing you put in can not be faulty he said he was done! After numerous complaints they said they were going to send a service manager, on January 17th to no avail they said he was sick no one else could come! I called and said Rosie do u honestly think I could wait an entire month without a functional shower I paid 6,100.00 to be treated like crap!!! STAY away if I save any one person from them I'm happy. The service technician Dan Karim arrived ahead of schedule and we appreciated that he was wearing a mask and foot coverings. He was courtesy, professional and informative. We had called to have the hardware in our shower changed because the shower head's water stream wasn't as strong as before (we've had it for five years) and they sent replacement at no cost to us. We requested a silicone touch up around the tub and they did a fantastic job in removing the old silicone and redoing it. We decided to replace an old stall shower in our basement bathroom. Bath Fitter came to our home to give us an estimate and explained how the process worked. The representative took extensive measurements and gave us an install date for the next month. He assured us that the shower would be complete in 1-2days. The installer came on Sept 1st and the actual shower was installed perfectly, however, when it was time to put on the doors, the installer informed us that the measurements were incorrect and the doors had to be reordered! About 2 weeks later we received a call that the new doors were in and we were given an appointment to have them installed the following week. A new installer came this time and things did not go too well. In the process of installing the new glass doors, our bathroom wall was cut and our toilet seat was damaged. Worst of all, the doors were not installed properly. After my 14yr old showered for the first time, upon opening the shower door, water came pouring out onto the floor, and he cut his toe on a jagged edge from the lip of the door that was pitched improperly. We called Bath Fitter to inform and they said they would send someone to fix all the problems, repair and repaint the wall, and would send us a gift card to replace our toilet seat. We had to wait until October 13th for someone to come, however, we are back to square 1! All the new technician was able to do was acknowledge that the doors were not installed correctly. He took pictures to document this, he remeasure and patched the hole in the wall. (We now have to pay to repaint the entire bathroom because we don't have the original color) He took a new set of measurements and said new doors had to be reordered. (we never received the gift card to replace the toilet seat) So here we are, still without a usable shower. We are beyond frustrated with Bath fitter for guaranteeing us a quick, seemless, expertly done installation. We never received an apology or any kind of explanation. There does not seem to be any accountability here. We left several messages with the original salesman, who booked our project, to let him know what was going wrong. Until this day, we have never heard back from him. I regret ever calling Bath fitter. I strongly recommend that you don't either! read more
