The installation process was a nightmare. They canceled at the last minute twice, and when the installer finally came, he took over 12 hours to do a shower stall. Then, he was missing a part so they had to return to finish. When they were finally all done, they tried to collect the balance for a second time. (The first technician apparently didn't hand in my check.) I've gotten no paid receipt, and nothing as of yet for the inconvenience. The salesman has been very nice and helpful, but ultimately the company has serious issues with its installers. read more

My bath needed replacing as the strips underneath it had loosened from its 10 years of wear and tear. A young man was sent to replace the tub but did not adjust the faucet pressure to our satisfaction. Mr Kenny Smith was sent to rectify the situation. He did a thorough job of adjusting the water pressure and temperature, in addition to filling some open areas with the sealant. read more

I had a great experience today with Daniel Karim. He came and repaired my bathroom; the shower head, faucet, he installed a new drain pipe and calked/sealed the bathtub. He did an excellent job, was a very nice and a very friendly person. He worked with his mask on, answered all my questions and gave me advice! Like most of you, we saw the Bath Fitter commercials on TV, and thought the grand reveal looked beautiful. We arranged an appointment with the salesman to resolve a leaking shower. After reviewing the brochure we decided to upgrade the shower and bathtub. The salesman made some superb recommendations based upon his experience, and we were pleased with the deal. We contracted to convert the shower on the first day and the bathtub the following day. The workers showed up promptly on the first day and converted the shower. It looked stunning! Although we still had a slight leak in the shower, they swiftly rectified the problem. In general, we observed the personnel's willingness to work with us to address any obstacles. They were all respectful and professional. The bathtub was converted on the second day. Occasionally when you make changes, there may be unforeseen circumstances. Although it took a little longer than planned, we now have our fantastic looking bathtub (just like in the brochure). Our concern with the bathtub conversion was amicably resolved to everyone's satisfaction. In our relations with Bath Fitter, everyone was straightforward, proficient, and committed to ensuring a successful implementation. I find their acrylic shell to cover your ugly tub as a quick easy fix. However, I had to remove it after a year due to waste water to end up between the two tubs. You can hear the water when you step into the tub. I wondered what kind of bacteria can be growing. This happens only when your tub backs up usually from hair. Unfortunately the drainage system they used on my property did not protect against back flow. Became frustrated after constant calls to the company with no assistance. Suggest replacing tub than covering it up unless you are going to keep the drain line clear at all times. Also their drainage pipe is smaller than the existing one because it needs to fit inside yours so the water does not flow as quick read more

Our experience with Bath Fitter was a real mixed bag. They made some very basic mistakes that should have never happened, but to their credit, they were very responsive in fixing those missteps. First, beware about their "hard sell" tactics. Our salesman, Joe G, was very charming, but also pressed the sell very aggressively. Turns out, he made a mistake with measuring the shower base which would replace my elderly parents tub, and we only discovered that the day the contractors came to do the work. So, we had to reschedule the project, which allegedly should've only taken one day to complete. So, the contractors, who were very professional, came back a second day and discovered that a certain portion of the project required a licensed plumber, according to the condo's rules/regs. Bath Fitter should have known this, given their dealings with the management company. Great! So now they have to postpone the project again and bring a plumber back another day. Then, those truly lovely contractors come back another day and discovered that our old shower doors (which the sales guy said would be fine to re-use, even though the tub would be taken out) were too short with the lower, new shower base. So now we have to order new taller shower doors, which further delayed the project. They did give us $300 off the new shower doors. Mind you, my mother had suffered a traumatic brain injury which has severely hampered her mobility, and a swift transition of tub to shower was imperative. This project, which should have taken one day, took over a month, and was a headache from start to finish. I will admit that even in the midst of these mistakes, the staff was quick to respond and try to remedy the situation. For that, I have to give them credit. From Joe, the sales guy, to Mia, the office coordinator -- they were accessible and responsive. It's just that these basic mistakes should have never happened in the first place. With that said, I can't recommend Bath Fitter without reservation. They were truly a mixed bag to deal with. read more

On installation day, September 23, 2017, I met Rodwell. I cannot say enough good things about him. He was friendly, prompt, courteous, and also patient with my questions. He had a very small, cramped space to work in, and he allayed my fears about getting the bathtub installed in such a small space. He worked tirelessly, alone, for the entire day installing the new plumbing, tub, ceiling, and wall surround. He is definitely a top expert in his craft. If I could I would give negative stars. They just finished installing the doors in my 83 year old mothers house. They reinstalled her shower doors you cant even open the doors the frame is so bent. They said its because the doors were old and we should have read the fine print that they are not responsible. Dont hire them they are crooks. read more

This was a great decision-to use Bath Fitter instead of a complete reno. All of the folks who helped set up my appointments and worked with my co-op management company were helpful and very friendly. The intallers were prompt and btw they never took a break! Started at 8:30am sharp and were done before 4. Looks like a brand new tub and surround! We needed a new bathtub because the tiles in the tub had fallen off the wall. We called Bath Fitter and our Salesman Howie came. He was very pleasant and easy to talk with. He did not pressure us at all. He told us about our different options. We told him we would get back to him. We waited quite a few months to get back to him. In the meantime, periodically we would get phone calls from Bath Fitter to see if we were still thinking about using them, or should they close our file. We knew we had to get the work done so I told them not to close the file. I also knew that this was the cheapest alternative to remodeling our whole bathroom. We called the salesman back in July. Howie came back and was able to lower the price a little bit, so we signed the contract. The workers came on August 5. It took only one day. I was working but my husband was working from home. He said the workers were very nice. When I got home and went to look at the new tub, everything looked great but I found a few things I was not happy with. The workers never put up the tension rod we had bought to hang the shower curtain on. My husband had to do it. He is not suppose to stand on narrow spaces and look up because of a condition he has and could fall. He stood on the rim of the tub to put up the tension rod. He had to keep turning the rod to make sure it was tight. They removed the rod that closes the blinds to the window right next to the tub. They never put it back on when the job was finished. It took my husband a while to fit the rod back on. At first I thought it was broken. I also noticed that the shower head was put back on higher that it originally was. The new toilet paper holder now looked like it was installed inside the tub next to the toilet, a few inches from where the other toilet paper holder was. After I noticed these things, I called Bath Fitter. I took pictures of the shower head and toilet paper holder and sent them to Howie who sent them to Lauren. She called me the next day. She was very nice. She said that the shower head looked like it was put back at the same height it originally was as did the toilet paper holder. I replied that I know the shower head is higher because when I put the shower caddy back on the shower head, I could no longer reach the top shelf to get the bottle of body wash. I am not tall. My son also noticed that the shower head was higher. The toilet paper holder has to stay where it is because that is where the new bathtub ends. However it will not be a problem. Water does not get onto the toilet paper as I thought it would. I called Lauren back to tell her about the shower head. She immediately solved the problem by giving us a new shelf to be installed, to put the bottles of shampoo and body wash on. There was not charge for the shelf. The worker came yesterday to put up the shelf. He was very nice and it only took a little while to install it. We are very happy with our Bath Fitter installation and the customer service we received from our Salesperson Howie, to Lauren who worked with us from their office and everyone else we came in contact with. read more

I am a second time around Bath fitter, My first was over 16 years ago. It was still in fine shape, However we now wanted a change. My husband and I came back, because we so happy the first time ! We had a great job done by Rocky and Lindsay yesterday. They we on time , clean and got the job done right. It was very hot and no one complained or slowed down either. I received an estimate from this company about 1 month ago. I told the salesman that I would get back to them, which I didn't. They called a number of times after that to pursue the sale.Can't blame them for that. Home Depot did that also. But HD calls stopped when I requested it. After I received a few voice mails from Bath Fitter, I decided to call them to tell them that I went a different route. Calls stopped for about 4 or 5 weeks. Just got one today!
