I purchased2 baths. The product doesn't clean well and twice we had to have repairs and replacement. the third time we experienced leakage onto our dining room. the ceiling had to be cut in to to determine the source, Bathfitters never called me back. We had to pay for plumbers in addition to having the ceiling replaced. ended up going with Jacuzzi Baths. it's far superior and they are more professional. Over the years we spent over $10,000 for products and replacements from Bathfitters. not to mention the inconvenience and aggravation, I would NEVER do business with them again.I only wish I could get my money back. read more

if I could give a rating of '0' I would! first off, every time I call, I am on hold at least 20 minutes. They have been out 5 times to fix my $12,000 shower and it still leaks! I am so tired of calling these people. Also, they say they called you but they don't. I am home all day and the phone never rang. Lies! I will never use them again! Offensive question about "needing to talk to my spouse about making a decision!!" THIS IS NOT 1950!!! I rarely take the time to review businesses but I am so angry and upset right now I can barely talk. It is 2024, right? Why did a scheduler think it was appropriate to ask me for my spouses name, and saying, they "want to talk to the spouses to make a decision" WHAT?!?! As a military veteran, I found this question especially offensive, considering I wore the uniform of this country for 13.5 years. This is the United States of America where I have equal rights and I don't need husbands or even a man's permission to do anything. That question pissed me off so bad I can barely think straight right now. This is a sexist policy. Either way you cut it. It is bad business. NOT recommended. I requested quotes from several companies two years ago for a bath remodeling project. The day of my appointment for a consultation, they cancelled because my landlord could not be present. I went with another company because I didn't have time or patience to coordinate times with them again. I'm STILL getting calls two years later from Bath Fitter despite requesting each time to take me off the list, that my project has been completed and we no longer need their services. Do not use them. When I originally have them install it was what we could afford at the time. Since then, we had them back here to replace a crack in the tub and it has not been the same since. The 1st guy put a hole in the wall and he never reported it. The second guy came out and patched it up, however, we need to paint it. The tub is worse than it was prior to them fixing it the first time. They do not use a drop cloth to track their nastiness through the house and cleanup sucks. I just want my tub fixed or to compensate me for the cost that it will cost to get professionals here to install the tub and paint my walls. read more

ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED. I am not quite certain that this is the branch of Bath Fitter that recent redid our tub ... but my dissatisfaction would in large measure apply to any branch, so it matters very little. We recently had Bath Fitter put a molded cover over our 1940s tub ... a previous reglazing hadn't held up well and was peeling badly, and we were looking for a more durable alternative. The salesman came to the house and showed us an example of the material that would cover the tub, and we were impressed with its heft and solidity, so we went forward. The pros: Everyone we dealt with was polite and professional, and the work was done quickly. The finished product looks quite nice. The cons: They DID NOT TELL US BEFORE PURCHASING that most everyday bath/shower products are not recommended, and that some will void the lifetime warranty. This is a huge problem for us -- one of the things that's absolutely verboten is any sort of chemical drain cleaner. This is a household with a lot of long hair and very old narrow pipes ... we rely on drain cleaner! They offer a suggestion of vinegar and baking soda, and the only fallback they suggest is calling in a plumber. This is a huge problem for us. We normally treat the tub drain about every two months because it gets slow. We certainly can't be bringing a plumber in every two months! And we have very low expectations of the vinegar and baking soda treatment ... which even Bath Fitter's literature says might need to be repeated many times to have any effect. We don't know how we're going to address the problem right now -- most likely we will simply have to use a proper cleanser, and take our chances with the warranty, which in retrospect seems to be worth rather less than the paper upon which it's printed. Some of the other things they don't recommend (though not all void the warranty) are bar soap (ALL BAR SOAP!!!), and all but about ten tub cleansers. We would probably not have made this fairly expensive purchase if the limitations on its use had been spelled out. It's so restrictive as to seem like a fairly elegantly crafted scam ... offer a lifetime warranty, but put so many restrictions on the use of the product that everyone will inevitably void the warranty through everyday use. Quite a clever gimmick, actually. Paired with the "if you buy today, you get this discount" hustle that the salesman was running -- and which seemed to be a standard practice -- this seems like a highly disreputable company. To add one more to the trials and travails, I too had a disaster. $9300 for a tub to shower conversion. It took one guy 2 full days to accomplish, not leaving the second day until 7 pm. All kinds of banging and stomping in the bathroom. Enough to knock a hair dryer off a sink in another bathroom and items off a shelf in a bedroom. Dust from cutting the drywall circulated thruout the house causing me to cough all night. A pipe broke during the installation, with water taking out a light fixture in the kitchen ceiling and water cascading onto a kitchen table with personal effects and all over the kitchen floor. I would check around before you think about using this company. read more

Do NOT use them! They don't confirm appointments. They didn't even show up to mine, and I had to drive an hour to get to it, only to find out they weren't coming. They dont tell you over the phone, but their garbage, low end product is $4,000 - do yourself a favor and find a good contractor, buy some home depot materials, and get it done right. I'm in the DC area to assist my brother in law following an extended hospital stay. I wanted to redo his tub/shower at his condo. Bath fitter refused to come to the condo to start the process because my brother in law was not present at the condo, he is still in the hospital. I explained that I would be paying for the work, they still refused to come. They are very hard to work with. read more
