We were very pleased with our first experience with Bath Fitter a few years ago for our bathtub liner and decided to use them again recently for our shower. We love our new shower! We found Bill our sales person to always be professional and courteous and Katie in the Lombard office to be available to answer any questions during the process. Matt M removed a different product from my tub today and he ensured the tub was usable for showering until the new bathfitter product is installed. I appreciate the extra time Matt took to efficiently remove the old sealant from the tub and caulk it for temporary use until the install of the bathfitter product next week. Instead of rating the overall experience, I'd like to break this review up into the scheduling process and the installation process. For the scheduling process, I'd give it 1 star. We received a phone call from them giving us a day and time. When no one showed that day, we called, and their office person Jamie laughingly told us that we weren't on the schedule. You can imagine that after having cleared our day and pushed off other projects so that they could have our house and garage to themselves, laughter wasn't what we wanted to hear! We were told that they had it marked that we needed permits--we didn't--and that we needed a plumber--we didn't. They offered us a time the next week, but we would have had to take another day off work for that, which wasn't acceptable. Finally, hours later, they called back and got us in on a Saturday. Which brings me to the installation process. Julian did amazing work, he was professional and friendly, and the final result looks amazing. The only things I could suggest as improvements had nothing to do with him. The man who installed our new tub pulled out a bunch of insulation to do so, threw it out, and didn't put any back in, so now I'm going to have to do that myself (a minor inconvenience, but still an inconvenience). Also, our salesperson David told us that we could have the surround run all the way up to our soffit, but the way that it's set up would have, according to Julian ,made it look really bad. Again, a minor inconvenience, but when you've decided how you want something to look, are told by the salesperson that it's fine, and then find out it's not, it's an annoyance on an already stressful day. All told, I'd be hesitant to recommend this company to friends of mine, not because of the job Julian did (again, it looks great) but because the process of scheduling was so chaotic and disorganized. It feels like there might be too many hands in there, and they don't all know what the other is doing. read more

Charged $11,000 for a simple tub shower demo and fiber glass insert that would cost about $700 from a big box store. February 7, 2024 Louisville, KY Today Brad & Bradley showed up right on time to redo our tub area. They had a big job to do (I thought) and I really thought they might not get it all done today. They had to tear out our old cast iron tub before they could install the new tub and tub enclosure. They finished about 2 and started about 8. It looks so awesome! They were very polite and careful. They put down runners so they didn't get our carpet dirty. I heard they had a little mishap at one time when the water was turned back on and didn't hear any bad words :-) That's almost unheard of these days! The district manager (I think that's what she was), Madi, came to check on the progress in the morning, said she was going to check on another job, get lunch for the guys and she asked what my husband and I wanted, and said she'd be back a little later. We sure didn't expect that! So, not only did we meet 3 awesome individuals who were very hardworking and kind, we also got fed! This was a wonderful experience all around. Thank you, Bath Fitter!! We originally had Bath Fitter install a tub liner on 10/11/2006 and were totally satisfied then and up until December 2021, unfortunately, they came back to correct a problem that had developed. Somehow water had gotten between the old tub and the liner, and it felt like we were on a surfboard on the water. At that time, they somehow drained the water out and things were fine for a while. After a while, it was filling up again, so they came out again. This time they decided to replace the liner, and a new one was installed in May 2024. In the meantime, we had had some tile damage (this is a 60+ year old home) in the shower area and we had a complaint about the way the liner fit up to the wall. It was no longer straight, plus it apparently had not adhered good to the front of the tub this time. Mark came out and said they would redo the liner again. We also had a water issue that had caused some damage to the wood under the tile. I was asking Mark if there was a way they could help cover some of the bad tiles (some had also popped off when the liner was removed). We are retired and on a fixed income so there was no way we could afford a new enclosure. He was thinking about that and happened to think about a program he'd heard they did occasionally, (he'd only been working there for four months or so) and said we might qualify for it. I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, Stage 4, in May 2021 and we are still dealing with remnants of that. It took a while, but we were approved for the program, and they ended up GIVING this tub and enclosure, FREE OF CHARGE to us. God is so good to us! We are so blessed! read more

So far my overall experience falls short of 5 stars because there is a hiccup with my new shower doors however the team they sent out to me headed up by Cam definitely deserve the extra star. We signed a contract with Bath Fitter back in late Feb of 2024. We were told by the the sales person that we could use our own contractor for the shower door and also our own safety grab bars. We did not like any of the stiles that they had. Our walk in shower was installed on April 1-2 of 2024. That day the installer said that he could not install our grab bars and if we used our own contractor for the shower door that it would void the warranty . we were told by the sales person just the opposite. After several phone calls it was agreed that we could use our own grab bars, but we had to buy the shower door from Bath Fitter. It has been 30 days since the walk in shower was complete and Bath Fitter still has not been able to get the shower door to install it. I called them on May 2 2024 and was told that the shower door would be shipped on May 17 2024. This is just a little crazy over 75 days and still waiting for the job to be completed. read more

We had Bathfitters install the tub and shower stall in our home 15 years ago. Recently, we noticed cracks in the tub and called to inquire about the lifeline warranty. They were attentive, asked us to send pictures and a copy of our receipt from 15 years ago- (keep those receipts everyone!), and then scheduled someone to come out to inspect and take more pictures. They had to order the new tub so it took 2-3 weeks but we are very pleased with the outcome. Our main installer, Julian, was efficient, so polite, and obviously a pro at his job. His partner for part of the first day, James, was great too. It turned into a "complicated" job but Julian persevered through and got the job done. Well done Julian and Bathfitters! read more

Overall positive experience, quick turnaround and interest free financing. I get it, bathroom remodeling is a huge decision and sorting all the information out about your options isn't fun. I went with bathfitters and was overwhelmed by the final product. For me the 2 to 3 week turnaround for a complete gut wasn't inticing. Install was done in 2 days, installer, Fernando, was great. Sales rep Terrance was informative and helpful without being pushy. If you're credit is good take advantage of the low/ no credit financing. Before the installer leaves check your water pressure and look over any seams installed product. The only negative thing I can say is that there was a slight disconnect between the office staff and labor staff. I am looking forward to never cleaning grout again. read more

I wish I could add pictures to this review. I will start out positive. I like the product, the installer was good and very knowledgeable. If it was not for that I would have given them only 1 star. I have two major issues. The 1st was that with in 3 months of having the install done the caulk around the soap tray / shelves that they installed in each corner of my shower / tub peeled away from the caulk. The water now runs behind them and it looks bad cheap. I had the tub and surround put in and figured I would wait to call it in after I did the rest of the bathroom work that I did on my own. Over a year later I did call them. They said there would be $125 charge to come out and re-caulk around these. I asked if that is all they would do since the shelves seem kind of flimsy and flexible and I assume that is why they pulled away from the caulk or it was just a bad install? The person on the phone had no other answer for me other than pay 125 dollars and they will come out and re- caulk them. I asked what kind of caulk they use and the answer was, " I do not know it comes from the factory" This was a one way conversation with someone taking calls that has no information on the product being sold or even cared what the caller is asking. I finally told her never mind. I asked her why should I pay $125 for inferior work when I can do it my self and make sure it is done correctly. Again no answer from her other than thanks for calling. Obviously it is not worth their time to try and sell a good service. So the take away, 1. Nice product except for maybe the shelves 2. Customer service in Northbrook no stars 3. Be wary once you are installed and pay. You will probably not get any action for any issues found after the payment. 4. The lifetime warranty that is advertised every where only covers the material not bad workmanship. read more

No pressure sales. and they delivered exactly what they promised. Dori coordinated timings and appointments, Dale their plumber, worked through some surprises behind my wall. Alvaro, the installation tech, was so professional and totally competent. The new shower looks just like the picture and I couldnt be more satisfied. I would caution that if you're replacing a tub with a stand alone shower, It may take a couple of days to get it all done once the pipes are exposed. These guys followed through with the Evanston Building Inspector and got it done, though it took several days to work out all the kinks in my pipes. read more

Be aware of Bath Fitter. We contacted the bath fitter to remodel our both bathrooms. Salesman Kevin Flanagan spent over four hours with us explaining the project, talking about politics, religion, culture and being so kind. I guess that's what sales people do to have you sign the contract right away. We paid $4000 on our credit card and set the date. While he was explaining the project he suggested that a bath fitter will take care of everything such as village permits and all. Story was changed after I paid $4000, according to him, they would take care of only the paperwork and I have to get a permit from the city of Evanston. I was like I am paying you over $15000 of course you would take care of appreciation. Anyway still it was not a dealbreaker, now the city of Evanston is not taking any paperwork due to Covid in person and online wait time can take up to 3 months. We decided to get an express permit. However we can't get an expedited permit because bath fitter's installers are not registered with the city of Evanston. It's been over a month since they have our money. We tried to call them several times and email them, my husband even emailed them stating he would complain about this in the Better Business Bureau...nothing, no response. We are not sure who to call or where to get any answers now. When you pay, you at least accept a response or some sort of follow through. Per contract if we decide not to get the project done then we lose our hard earned money $4000. We have never experienced such poor and unprofessional service from any vendors before in our life. I was quoted $6500 from Bath Fitter for a new walk in shower with new door and shower fixtures. I found that very expensive. I hired a contractor that built me an entire new new bathroom with a porcelain shower /floors, frameless glass door, new toilet, vanity, mirror, med cabinet, paint and light fixtures. My final cost including labor and materials for the entire bathroom was $9,000. What bothered me most was the salesperson who came to my home and gave me this ridiculous price never followed-up with me. For $6,500 you think they would be motivated to call back and see if I had further questions or had made up my mind. Bath Fitter is for the person who needs a quick fix and doesn't care about price or customer service. read more

On March 26, 2018 I had my first meeting with a Sales Consultant names Josh Miralgo. He took his time and explained all available options for what I was looking to do. 7 days later I called Josh, he came back and I selected the materials for the shower door I wanted installed in my 2nd bathroom. I made a down payment and he informed me that someone name Regina would be in touch with me in a few days with an estimated install date. After waiting for 3 weeks I called, spoke with someone and was given an install date. The installer arrived 1 week later, I was very excited for the finished product. After almost 2 hours of working, the installer informed me the company made a mistake with the required parts to secure the sliding doors on both sides. He advised me I would need to side the right side of the door to the left and reverse the doors to prevent water-soaked rungs on the floor. He advised a new part would be ordered and someone would contact me with a new date to replace the part. I left countless messages with Josh Miralgo and never got a call back. Again, 2 weeks and no call from Bath Fitters or the Sales Consultant. I called again and left a message, after 2 days I received a voicemail advising the new part was in and the first available appointment was June 7, 2018. The same installer arrived and went to work to replace the part. After 20 minutes, I heard concern in his voice. He came out of the bathroom and told me "they sent the wrong part again". This company has terrible customer service! They came to my house over 10 weeks ago to and I signed a contract to get my bathroom redone. Like most people I work Monday thru Friday so I needed an install on a Saturday my rep said that was fine it just might be a little longer, which I was ok with. They finally called me to install about 8 weeks after and I asked for a Saturday and they girl said she would have to check with the installers and il after waiting 2 weeks for her to call me back I emailed my sales rep. He said he would get back to me by a certain day and then didn't! Then they called me on Wednesday and said they could install this Saturday! She didn't even give me an option of a day, when I told her my son has baseball and this Saturday wouldn't work she said she would have to check with the installer and get back to me! That was 2 days ago now, so I wonder how long it will take them to call me back now! I was not in any type of rush and very understanding that installs were 6-8 weeks out but when there is no communication at all that's just plain rude! Had an appointment for 1500 hrs and got a call at 1545 hrs telling me they wanted to reschedule as "the consultant had been delayed". I guess the "Consultant does not have a cell phone to call in when she first realized she would not be able to make the appointment. Considering travel time that would be about 1430 hrs. They will not get a second shot at the work because to me this is an example of how they respect the CUSTOMER, the people that keep them in business. read more

I would recommend Bath Fitter to anybody who needs to revamp their bathroom in one day. We live in a 580 square foot condo with one bathroom and I didn't have the luxury to remodel the bathroom for a few weeks. I also had a leaky bath tub faucet and very old fixtures. Damon the sales rep came out and gave me a price quote $500 less than Home Depot. I picked the white "modern" look for my tub surround. My quote included all new plumbing, labor, new curved shower rod, tub surround, and tub liner. There was a discount offered if I agreed to the estimate and sign that day. I told him I couldn't commit right away due to some other HVAC projects going on in our building that would push back my install date farther to two weeks away, and I wasn't comfortable giving a $700 deposit until I can confirm an available date via my condo association office. Damon Laudadio was professional and amiable and agreed to honor the discount for a few weeks. I paid my deposit and made the appointment for the install. Dori Rodriguez at the office was very nice in coordinating the paperwork needed for my condo association. The day of the install, one contractor and one plumber arrived. They started around 11:00 a.m. and worked steadily all day. I ordered sandwiches delivered for them and me and my toddler for a lunch break. Around 3:00 pm they discovered they had left out a valve that would reduce noise and so had to return the next day to re-do part of the plumbing and bring in a second tub surround to go over the first (they had to break into the wall one more time). They broke a light fixture that was on the ceiling and offered to pay for it but it was actually brighter without the fixture so we left it as is. I was disappointed that the job wouldn't be finished in one day but they were very apologetic and professional. I spoke to Gary and Mark at the office and Mark offered me $100 off for my inconvenience. They came the second day on time and finished around 3:00 pm. I signed the paperwork and was told I can use my bath tub after 24 hours. I was billed balance of the full price but after I called Mark to ask about the discount, Dori returned my call a few days later to put the $100 refund through and emailed me a copy of the receipt. All in all, I recommend Bath Fitter at Northbrook. Next time I want to visit their showroom and see the other styles in case I want to use them again! I took pictures of my new bath tub and I am now the envy of all my friends. read more
