Let me make this clear. This is not a spa people. This is a place to hang out with your friends and be loud. If you're looking for a relaxing, quiet time then this is not the place to go! They only have 2 saunas and one steam room & 3 pools. The pools are dirty which is fair, I mean 100's of people are in and out of the pools so their is a lot of hair and dirt- ew. Everyone is loud and talking in every room so you can't relax. Both times I have seen couples full on making out in the steam room and sauna. The locker rooms only have showers. The front desk staff were very unfriendly and I came in with a big smile on my face and was nice so idk what their problem was. I have been to this place twice and both experiences were not great. Not worth it. The locker room with the changing area and lockers is TINY! Pictures make this place seem a lot bigger online than in person. It's a tiny overcrowded room with 3 pools. Consider it small, smaller and smallest. No personal space, no hygiene practices, no nothing. This place needs a capacity limit, not relaxing whatsoever. You're basically on top of each other in the pools, and the massage rooms surround the pools so there's people walking around everywhere. Sauna room is also quite small. Only thing I'd go back for is maybe lunch. Tiny portions but the food was great- overpriced but great. Read the bad reviews before you go! Bathhouse might have their staff and paid influencers post positive reviews. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and honestly it could not have been any worse. The only good thing about this place was the massage, which you can get somewhere else. It's called Bathhouse, we thought we would get a "spa experience". But it was so crowded, we had to wait for people to get out of the water to be able to go in. The pools were DISGUSTING. You could see balls of hair on the surface of the water, i couldn't even look down to see the water because I literally felt like I was swimming in garbage. Was excited to try this place but in the middle of the day on a Wednesday it was packed beyond what I would think Covid precautions would allow. The pools seemed full of shmutz, seamen or something else that screamed " I hope it's full of chlorine." The massages were great but overall this place is much smaller than you'd expect, the towels are tiny and the changing rooms are poorly laid out. No one was in a mask, I get everyone who enters is vaccinated but breakthrough infections are a thing and it seems Bathhouse hasn't gotten the memo. I have been eyeing this place for months. I finally went on my bday (10/29) and had an amazing time. I got the hammam scrub and facial package. The spa is clean and the service was amazing. I brought my own robe, it wasn't needed. They suggest checking I'm an hour before your treatment, to start enjoying the amenities. A Bathhouse has day passes too!! They have a steam room, two saunas, one warm pool, one that is a cold plunge and one that is hot. There is also a restaurant. I tried everything but only dipped my feet in the cold plunge pool. They do require your vaccine card, and masks are optional. I would definitely go back either solo or with friends. I didnt stay all day because I had other plans. I'm giving this place 2 stars because my massage therapist was very nice and attentive. I've been to Aire ancient baths and several Russian banyas and this place is laughable in comparison. It was insanely over crowded and not clean. There were probably 20 plus people in the tiny tiny pool. No place to move at all. The entire facility was freezing cold, including the massage rooms. Locker room is tiny with no space to move around. And the people there seemed to have no idea what the purpose of a bathhouse is. They were all having extremely loud, obnoxious conversations in the saunas. Oh, and it's extremely overpriced for what you get- which is essentially just a massage because the facilities are unusable. Hard pass. read more

A SPA day should be relaxing and simply wonderful. Here, it is not! If you come here later than 10 AM it results in crowded chaos. The place is just too small for so many people. Why not have water pitchers with fruit instead of a schoolyard fountain (also not very hygienic during Covid). 4. What about cooling towels with a little aromatherapy? I really like the facilities but I think it's a bit rich to charge a 20% gratuity on the day pass when you're NOT getting a service performed. it's the business' responsibility to pay for the general staff, the upkeep of the bathhouse, and not to offload yet more cost onto customers. Definitely recommend visiting bathhouse when it opens and staying for a couple hours. After that, I starts to get very crowded (on account that it's in Brooklyn and everything in Brooklyn is crowded). The pools are small and only one is a truly comfortable temperature so it gets very crowded. And I'm not quite sure the pools are cleaned well because they start to smell sweaty after awhile. The massage quality varies based on the person. The saunas and steam rooms were great. There was enough of a variety that they didn't get overcrowded. The early day pass is great for $45 you can use the whole facility and as someone who primarily did sauna-ing at the Turkish baths this was a whole other world. One room just has moody purple lighting from what looks like a abstract jelly fish suckers from above. This place is a disaster. I never leave Yelp reviews but feel the need to warn people. Not only I have never dealt with a more disorganized, rude or unhelpful booking staff (with one exception of a nice man whose name I unfortunately do not remember) or a less relaxing spa experience (dirty towels everywhere in the locker room, overcrowded, empty and broken bottles of product), but this place overcharges (they keep a card on file and haphazardly charge things) and then refuses to refund your money. I planned a group outing here and, despite calling several times to finalize and confirm bookings ahead of time, was charged for several day passes when I only confirmed two - and the people who used those paid for them separately upon checkout, so I should not have been charged for any. I was told that my friends who paid separately - who did not have a receipt because Bathhouse failed to provide one, as they are legally required to do - needed to send a copy of their bank statement (that's right, their personal information) so that Bathhouse would believe that they actually paid since they had no record (which they are also legally required to keep). Despite the outrageous request, I sent them what they asked for and they STILL have not given me a refund. I was told a manager would call me but I'm still waiting for that call. The place was also shockingly crowded - really uncomfortably so. Their policy is that masks are required if unvaccinated but no one was checking records. Even if there weren't a pandemic, the place was packed. You could barely get into the plunge pools let alone enjoy relaxing in them. It was incredibly noisy while receiving treatments. Not at all relaxing. Two other people (not in my group) were complaining about this on their way out as well. My massage itself was really great and my therapist was incredibly nice. That was the only positive aspect of this entire experience. But I can get a good massage elsewhere where the overall experience isn't so stressful that it negates the point of being at a spa - especially such an expensive one - in the first place. Note that the reviews others have left of this place are for both the restaurant and the spa. I did not go to the restaurant so can't speak to that - but when reading the reviews, pay attention to which reviews are for which portion. When I asked her what she's doing in the men's locker room she said "I work here" I stated that it wouldn't be ok for a man to enter the woman's locker room & I don't appreciate the double standard. Came here on a Saturday evening. Surprisingly it was not packed at the time. Inside the changing area is soo cute the sink area/ showers are black and white tile there is pads ,mouthwash, body wash , a hair drying station, etc. I love how they also provide slippers **bombastic side eye to all you other spas **) the downside is the space is very small and narrow at the same time. I can imagine how crazy it can get if a lot of people are checking in at the same time. Once you get beyond the doors the pools and the sauna rooms is literally all on same floor. So it's quite tiny and yea depending on how much people are there at a time it will affect the relax/ unwind experience your expecting when going to a spa. The restaurant attached was pretty lackluster. There was nothing I really would've wanted to try on the menu and munching on my sisters small bites it was not even good. The best part was the Riesling. I enjoyed myself its cheaper than the other spas but it's probably something you have to go for the early mornings or rainy weather. read more

This place is great! They have 3 baths (one slightly warm, one hot, and one cold); 3 saunas (2 dry at different temperatures and one wet.) The atmosphere is modern. They also offer spa treatments though I haven't tried any yet. Price-wise, it's an intermediate option (a day pass is $50 on weekdays/ $60 on weekends.) They also have a restaurant. Food is very high quality but portions are small. The only downside for me is that Williamsburg isn't all that convenient of a location, but of course that will depend on where you live and work. I hope they open a spot in Manhattan or downtown Brooklyn soon! read more

So I've never been to a sap ever in my life. I some how came across this spa through my random search for something different to do for my birthday. I checked this spot out on Instagram and decided, well it's in the artsy part of Brooklyn, looks cool from the photos, sure I'll go. I booked my services online which was a glow bath. Let me tell you all, the whole setup of the bath was nice, the oils and herbs smelled so good. The people there including the patrons were all lovely people. My experience I dropped down to 4 stars because I felt the food was very expensive all though I get it, it's home grown if that's what they call it there, but the portions were very tiny. I still loved it and would certainly go back for the spa treatments and just to chill in the area. After being here for a day, I'm definitely making a spa treatment a staple thing to do at least 1-2x/month. To eat my sister and me had the sweet potato, the lamb sausage and the yellowtail, the chef really knew what he or she was doing. I booked the couples bathhouse express package for my boyfriend and I and we really left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Upon entering, the staff was super friendly and informative. With it being our first time there, they instructed us into separate locker room areas where they provided lockers, towels, and slippers. After getting ready you're to go downstairs to the pool and sauna areas. We spent an hour of our time in the 3 different saunas and the pools, which are set at 3 different temperatures. The only downside, is that the pools and the area are relatively small, and there were way too many people for such a small space. (Especially with COVID) We had to wait and take turns using the pools so that we wouldn't invade anyone's space. The 30 minutes focused couples massage was excellent, the therapists were thorough and accommodating. We also had the scrub done which left us feeling smooth but I don't feel is worth doing again. Overall, the massages and experience was exciting and relaxing. I do look forward to visiting again, possibly for the facial and definitely for another massage! read more

However, I feel I wouldn't be responsible for not warning everyone how this facility manages covid security and requirements. From the beginning till the end, the entire experience wasn't following any of the covid protocols. The girls at the reception didn't have a mask, and no one measured our temperatures when entering the facility. The three tiny pools were full of people. No one was wearing a mask, of course. This wouldn't be an issue if they would require proof that everyone in the facility was vaccinated. They didn't. They just allow everyone in the same place to make money. Covid is not over yet. As everyone else mentioned the place gets super crowded. They let people on every to minutes but there is no limit on how long u can stay. So it gets packed. No where to sit, pools full. People are loud and you get a lot of bro's in there as well as obnoxious soul cycle types of women. No one has common courtesy for others personal space. The website makes the space look a lot bigger then it is. They have three small pools. The cold on is cold, the largest which is still small is like lukewarm bath water and the hot pool is tiny and not hot enough. Found both saunas and steam rooms to not be very hot. Marble slabs to sit on where not heated well and overrun by those taking it up I. Themselves to lay down and take over the whole area. Locker rooms were ok, not enough hooks for jackets or towels. Not enough bench space. Also they needed better signage and should consider some lounge chairs around the perimeter. Overall it's a great local edition but they need to limited the amount of people who can go in. I'd try going back during a weekday. read more

This review is strictly Covid related. I hate posting a bad review for a struggling business during this time but I visited for almost 5 hours yesterday and after spending over $600 on 90 minute massages and other treatments I walked away feeling angry. This place is not being managed properly. I run an office and we have sheets that we need to log of cleaning and daily sanitizing and we have someone in our office who walks around with spray alcohol a few times a day wiping surfaces and cleaning high traffic areas. While I was in this place I didn't see a single measure NOT one being taken. The lockers were dirty. The same dirty towels and used sandals were there when I left from when I arrived. In the 5 hours I was there I only saw one person come by and pick towels up, which had been stacking by the dozens in saunas and there must have been over 60 in the common pool areas all over the walls and floors. The place just didn't feel clean and it certainly was clear there was ZERO upkeep staff. Furthermore they were very evasive of answering how many people would be there when we would be there and made it sound like we would have the place to ourselves. Nope. When we got there there were over 13 people there and as the day wore on it got very crowded. We just didn't feel safe. No one was around to monitor anything. Most people were walking around not wearing masks despite the fact they are supposed to but no one from the place was there to set any guidelines or rules. To me it seems crazy this place is operating so carelessly and charging such an obscene amount of money. The place is ran down, smells and they just aren't doing much other than check your temperature when you arrive to deal with Covid. We felt unsafe the entire time and today we are slightly freaked out we may have contracted something from what felt like an overcrowded underground club where we have to move other peoples disgusting towels to be able to even sit in a sauna. Poorly designed spa. The women's locker rooms were smaller than a studio apartment and more than 15 women were crammed on the 2 small benches trying to change and get ready. No robes were provided so I recommend coming with your swim suit already on. The floors were soaked and the pools were PACKED. The music was techno so there was no silence and people were trying to talk above the music so it made it a club/Lounge vibe instead of a spa. I came by myself thinking I'd get some R&R and I felt like I missed the memo because everyone was in a loud friend group. My mousses was nice but she didn't wear a mask and similarly the music in the massage room was too upbeat. My experience was horrible. The manager which which a Caucasian male was super rude to me. I booked my appt day off and was out looking for a bathing suit the day of. Unfortunately since it is winter season no place had one. I called to see if I could come at a later time which she stated it was no appt available but when I looked it was an 8:00p and my appt was originally at 5:00pm. You don't get a grace period And you can't reschedule or cancel services. They charge you for the full amount. I got my massage which I only Received 20 minutes of it. It takes a minute to check in and etc so I recommend arriving 1 hr earlier. Also I wanted to cancel my scrub, it was cold and not comfortable. The manager stated I couldn't cancel and I had to pay. He was very rude and I felt very uncomfortable. The spa is super crowded which I didn't expect, and it's no relaxation. The pools are super small. And it's a very small area. I love Bath House so much I've returned a few times and will be back again! Mike greeted me at the desk and was very pleasant and helpful. The changing rooms are clean and the fact that you can get in and out if your secure locker with a bracelet is so easy. The saunas and baths are so much fun to bop in and out of and the ambience is lovely. It's a nice casual vibe and filled with lots of friendly people. The cocktails are delicious and the food is very good as well. And very fun to hangout in a restaurant in Williamsburg with just a bikini on. I swear I had the best espresso martini in my life there. The space is pretty small so for covid safety I recommend going in the week day early to avoid crowding. I went at 9am on a Saturday and it was about 10 people there not too bad but the longer my boyfriend and I stayed the more ppl came. So early morning is the best way to go. I didn't like how loud the music got but the type of music chosen def went along with the vibe of the place very hipster chic.
