I visited for the first time and had a disappointing experience. I asked what the options were for a bionico since I didn't see it on the menu and wasn't familiar with what it included. The employee responded by changing the menu slide to the bionico and told me to look at the screen instead of explaining. It felt dismissive for a simple question, especially as a first-time customer. After placing my order, I saw my bionico sitting on the counter ready to go, but no one handed it to me. Several employees walked past it while I waited. After about 5-7 minutes, I made eye contact with the cashier, and only then did they realize it hadn't been given to me. I tried their Tacos de Canasta de Papa and I regret not getting more! I think they came with 4 or 5 tacos, but I ate them so fast I can't remember lol. They are not crunchy, they are soft and delicious. They are cooked in a red sauce, dying them until they look orange. Came with slices of pickled jicama, carrots, jalapenos, green salsa on the side, & a drink. I've been coming to Bati's for over 10 years ( been away for maybe 2). I used to enjoy stopping by for a smoothie, esquite, or whatever antojo I have been being away for some time. Today, though, was disappointing. I accidentally ordered the strawberry banana milkshake instead of the smoothie, and while I completely understood that the mistake was on my end, I don't think it's reasonable to expect a new charge--especially when the drink is $12.50. Instead, the cashier rudely suggested she could charge me for a new one since the first was already made. Honestly, I should've asked for a refund at that point. On top of that, I couldn't help noticing the flies and the overall lack of cleanliness around the place. Really unfortunate to see how much this spot has declined after so many years. We love this place. We come, at least once a week. My fav are the Dubai crepes. I added a picture unfortunately i ate some of it before the pic (that's how good they are). But they have something for everyone. Adriana is amazing, she always provides the best service. Even though they're always extremely busy, which we understand why. If I could give this place negative reviews I would. I was so excited to try this place that my sister highly recommended, but the staff vibe and attitude was not it at all. First off, they had me waiting for minutes before they helped me. They didn't even say, "hey I'll be with you in a moment." Finally someone came out to take my order and was just unpleasant all around. I ordered 1 jamaica and after literal minutes of waiting I just asked for a refund and left. Expensive! Just go to the Michoacána. It's cheaper and you get more for your buck!! I asked for chamoy and Valentina on the side because I won't be eating these till my break at work and they charged me 50cents for the cup. Very small cup too. When I go to the Michoacana and I asked for everything on the side they don't charge for the cup and the tostilocos are actually tostilocos. I love this little spot! On a hot summer day it's the perfect snack! I've had their fruits, manzana loca, escamocha, Hawaiian fruit, açaí bowls, crepes and ice cream. I like to come in person and wait for my order because whenever I order for pick up I arrive and end up waiting for it either way. That's the only down side. They are always so nice and get orders out as fast as possible. I'd recommend bringing cash because they charge a fee for credit cards.
