My parents were under the Medical-Cal eye care plan, and I was so surprised about how much care this center is willing to take care of my Senior parents, especially both my parents do not speak any English. They were patient and caring. They went through a significant detail to understand their overall health and eyes conditions. We were under the care of both Dr. Kerman and Dr. Lee. I was so happy with them for five years, and eventually, I brought all my family members under this eye center's care. With medical eyedrops before and after the surgery, recovery was complete with no complication at all. I was nearsighted with stigmatism, wearing thick lens all my adult life. After the surgery, I have 20/20 vision and no longer need to wear glasses for driving. However, I do wear a pair of bifocals, primarily for reading. At my 6-month return check-up, Dr. Albrecht found some "stuff" as normal reactions to the operation (which didn't seem to bother me at all.) I had to go back to have them cleaned up by laser which took less than 5 minutes for each eye. I am very pleased with the overall result and the thoroughness of Dr. Albrecht.

My husband and I each have a great VSP plans through our employer and for two exams it should have been covered especially with double coverage, however I left paying $120 out-of-pocket on what should have been zero. I left very disappointed. I am in the HR field and I have an understanding of how Primary and secondary insurances work, but there really was no arguing with the doctor. I gave it one more try and told the staff I will NOT wait more than an hour. The LAME staff told me the appointment wait is 1 1/2 hours. I walked out. If the doctor doesn't respect my time I don't respect him or anybody that knows him. I'm always on time for my appointments. I only do follow ups and lately the wait is unacceptable. Another time I was there and a couple of seniors were complaining that they had been waiting 3 hours. Some of those seniors had transportation services waiting for them. Dr Ting is the only doctor that makes you wait and wait and wait. I feel like he thinks us seniors don't deserve respect for our time. At my age, I have many doctors and I'm generally done in less than an hour!!!

This is against CA law and bad practice to impose a cancellation policy based solely on a sign in their office, especially for patients that are scheduled on the phone and confirm on the phone. I have since found a new optometrist and guess what? They text their appointment confirmation so the patient can confirm and guess what's also included in that patient confirmation text? Their cancellation policy!
