Nowadays, medical care is about speed, so doctors are under tremendous pressure to see their patients in under 15 minutes. This kind of expectation will not work well here at this eye center. They take care of their patients as no one can. They focus on precision diagnostics and patients' health quality. Not just eye exams but holistic checkups to ensure they can work with you to protect "the windows of your soul." My parents were under the Medical-Cal eye care plan, and I was so surprised about how much care this center is willing to take care of my Senior parents, especially both my parents do not speak any English. They were patient and caring. They went through a significant detail to understand their overall health and eyes conditions. We were under the care of both Dr. Kerman and Dr. Lee. I was so happy with them for five years, and eventually, I brought all my family members under this eye center's care. I left very disappointed. I am in the HR field and I have an understanding of how Primary and secondary insurances work, but there really was no arguing with the doctor. With medical eyedrops before and after the surgery, recovery was complete with no complication at all. I was nearsighted with stigmatism, wearing thick lens all my adult life. After the surgery, I have 20/20 vision and no longer need to wear glasses for driving. However, I do wear a pair of bifocals, primarily for reading. At my 6-month return check-up, Dr. Albrecht found some "stuff" as normal reactions to the operation (which didn't seem to bother me at all.) I had to go back to have them cleaned up by laser which took less than 5 minutes for each eye. I am very pleased with the overall result and the thoroughness of Dr. Albrecht.

Every call goes straight to voicemail with a message promising a return call, but that never happens (at least with our experience). Since January 5th, I have been trying to schedule a follow-up appointment for my mom after she missed her original appointment on 1/5/26 due to illness. My daughter and I have both called multiple times with no success in reaching a live person, and not a single call has been returned. I understand offices get busy, but completely ignoring patient's call is unacceptable. If you can't answer the phone, then at least be courteous and return calls. The lack of communication made me feel like they intentionally avoid answering, which is incredibly frustrating for a medical office where patients rely on timely care. This experience has been extremely disappointing and needs serious improvement.

If the doctor doesn't respect my time I don't respect him or anybody that knows him. I'm always on time for my appointments. I only do follow ups and lately the wait is unacceptable. Another time I was there and a couple of seniors were complaining that they had been waiting 3 hours. Some of those seniors had transportation services waiting for them. Dr Ting is the only doctor that makes you wait and wait and wait. I feel like he thinks us seniors don't deserve respect for our time.
