I called on Sunday 4/14 at 2:30 pm to inquire about getting my phone repaired. I was told I could drop off the phone and pick it up Monday 4/15 for a 24 hour repair. The store associate confirmed he had the phone part so I dropped of my phone that afternoon at 3:30pm. Monday at 5:30 I stopped by to pick up my phone and the store associate said they were waiting on a part, and it wasn't ready but would be ready Tuesday early afternoon. I called Tuesday (before driving out there) at 11:00 am and was told the shipment still hadn't arrived but it would in the next hour and my phone would be ready to pick up that evening before close. I drove by that evening around 6:30 pm and I was told "im sorry ma'am but your phone isn't ready" - they had not started. The store associate said it would now be ready "Wednesday morning when we open". I asked for a specific time, and I was told 10 or 10:30. Wednesday morning 4/17 I called at 10:30am and asked for the status. I was told "in the next 30 to 1 hour". At 11:30 I drove to pick up my phone and the associate said "im sorry ma'am but your phone isn't ready. It will be another hour." At this point, I asked for my phone back and I told the man I would take it somewhere else. He said he couldn't do that because he already started the repair. I said, I don't care - give me the pieces and ill take it somewhere else. He said no. I told him I refused to pay, and he said then "you won't get your phone then". At this point I decided to wait in the store until he finished. I waited for about 50 minutes until my phone was done. I was offered no accommodation or discount. I will never ever do business with you again and I will never recommend it to anyone else. On a positive note the phone seems to be repaired fine and the price was reasonable.

Being desperate, I accepted under the front desk's assurance that my phone is "probably" going to be fixed, and this is a just in case thing. Sure enough, they hold my phone for 3 days with no news. On the fourth day, I get a message saying 'come pick your phone up, we can't fix it because we can't find the faulty part'. I ask for information about the faulty part, and they give me none. Moreover the lady at the front desk has the audacity to act exasperated and condescending when I ask for information about which part exactly is broken, and acts as if I'm being rude and unreasonable for asking for my money's worth on the diagnostics. She lies and tells me the part is not available in the US, when it is available everywhere online. I suspect that they ruined something else on my phone and didn't want to fix it because of that, so I'll be using another repair service to see if that's the case. The positive reviews are probably fake accounts from China, don't trust them.

I brought my laptop in while visiting my brother in Raleigh because upon plugging it in I noticed that the battery icon was reading "battery not detected". I had recently replaced the battery but it had been working just fine for about a week, no problems with battery detection during that time. Then all of a sudden it starts reading battery not detected. So I bring it in there May 28th for (only) a diagnostic because they do free diagnostics and I figured why not I may as well. Well, here we are on June 19th AND I STILL DON'T HAVE MY LAPTOP AND THE PROBLEM STILL HASN'T BEEN RESOLVED. During the diagnostics they had ruled out the battery itself and the charger as potential causes of the problem so they thought it was that the diodes on the motherboard had gone bad. Fine. Do they call me ahead of time to tell me what they thought the problem was and ask if I wanted them to order the part first? No. They go ahead and order the part without my consent, meanwhile I need to be heading back to Boston within the next couple days. Because they had already ordered the part I felt compelled to just leave my laptop down there in order to resolve the issue as quickly as possible (or so I thought). A week passes. Two weeks pass. They still haven't received the diodes. Not necessarily their fault, sure, but they make absolutely no attempt to keep me updated by calling me periodically. Nope, I have to go out of my way to call them at least five or six times over that time period to get an update, and half the time they didn't even know what the status was because my technician wasn't in and apparently they don't communicate with each other very well. They finally get the part in last week, they say they're working on it and will call me back, of course they don't call me back, so I call again on Monday only to learn that they replaced the diodes AND THAT DIDN'T EVEN RESOLVE THE ISSUE. So here we are, three weeks later, and we're back to the drawing board and it's as if I had never brought it in there to begin with (which I now wish I hadn't). I brought it in simply to get a diagnosis of the problem and it turned into this huge painstaking situation. I ended up having to send my brother who lives nearby in there today to rescue my poor laptop and ship it to me himself. It will FINALLY arrive on Saturday, 25 days since I brought it in, AND THE ISSUE STILL HASN'T BEEN RESOLVED. Not only will either of us never go to this place again, but I am also going to be extremely gunshy about taking my laptop ANYWHERE for service ever again. Lesson learned thanks to this absolutely awful experience: troubleshoot as much as you possibly can yourself, then bring your device in somewhere only if you absolutely have to.
