I talked to their online representative who told me that they have tail light bulbs for my car and they also provide the bulb replacement service for my make, model, year and trim. The representative asked me to go to the store in Delaware ohio, which is closest to my home. At the store, two people told me they will not replace the bulbs but they only sell. They wasted my time !!! read more

was told at one location that another location has my part . I go there and they can't find it then tell me another location has it .... had me pay for a will call ahead of time just to get to the third store for them to have sent it out for a city route ..... been waiting at the store for two hrs for my part .... every employee at all three stores have issues it's insane put some better management in yo stores .... read more

i've been going to this store for some time and have always had a great experience. both of my vehicles, toyota - jeep are over 20 years old and i've been able to get 99.9% of the parts that were needed to make the repairs that have been needed to be completed by my-self. some tools that were needed that i had no reason to own were available to be loaned. over all. this store and its employes have gone out of there way to accommodate my needs. i could not be happier with this store and its employees. thanks o'reilly's for your service here in old north columbus. read more

It's a safe bet to say that any time I'm in an auto parts store, I am not a happy camper. The first time I came to Oreilly's, I stomped in thoroughly pissed off after finding my third flat tire of the season (note to self: replace POS car). While I am never flat out rude to retail workers- having been there, done that- I was probably less than 100% friendly when I asked where the Fix-a-Flat was. The guy behind the counter wasn't fazed at all- he helped me find the Fix-a-Flat, made sure I had the correct size can, and threw in some pointers about where I could go get a real fix for my tire. No sales pressure, no BS. I like that in a car parts place. Since then, I've never had a bad experience at O'Reilly. The workers aren't overbearing, but they're friendly. They have what me and my POS car need. What more could I ask for? read more

Overpriced compared to advance when using their online coupon (google them). Advance often has $50 off $125 and even $50 off $100. They always have 30% off and 40 off 110. O'Reilly auto parts can't compete. read more

The so-called "Parts Professionals" at this location are rude and give their customers the run around for a mistake on THEIR end. Bought brake rotors and pads on WED evening but had to have service professionally done, so went to return UN-OPENED UN-USED parts on FRI evening with original receipt. So guess what..? THEY gave me the WRONG brake pads, then REFUSED to take the same WRONG brake pads back for refund (even though it was OK to take back the rotors bought at same time!) until the original salesperson was at the store on SAT night to verify that HE made the mistake! Are you kidding me? The so-called Manager MATT was extremely rude about the whole situation, insisting that he HAD to follow PROCEDURE to have the original slaesperson verify his screw-up when pulling the part. Hey Matt, here's your sign....check your INVENTORY...gonna be ONE part HIGH on the part I SHOULD have gotten, and ONE SHORT on the WRONG PART you gave me! I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT (which btw, you obviously took my advise because you called me when I got home not 5 mins after leaving your store, telling me you could NOW take the wrong part back and issue me my refund!! Still had to make another trip back to do what SHOULD have been accomplished on the FIRST visit!) Is basic Inventory Management too advanced for such so-called Professionals??Sounds a LOT easier and more reliable way to reconcile inventory than to rely on someone's memory of one of many sales made 3 days earlier! Guess because I am a WOMAN that I was treated this way...have heard rumors about this store being bad to female customers before but first time I have personally experienced it. The people at the store have been VERY helpful... Matt and the rest of the team are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to do whatever they can to help! I was working on my Jeep in their parking lot (power steering pump) and probably had to go in to borrow a tool or ask a question at least 6-8 times... :-( But, they were friendly and helped me every time and very quickly. So I've worked in the automotive aftermarket for 40+ years. I know that good counter people are hard to get and keep and they don't get paid near enough. The retailers are hard pressed to get any help and obviously Sunday is when the folks lowest on the totem pole get to work. I needed a few small parts for the race car to finish up a couple of projects. I had 3 muffler clamps from O'Reilly's sitting on the bench, in the O'Reilly's bag with the receipt. I figured I would run over to the North High St store to grab my other parts and take the clamps back. No customers in the store, the person I assume was the manager is on a call and another employee is "hovering" near her behind the counter - in a "Team O'Reilly's t-shirt. I come in, set down the bag on the counter and wait. Call ends, she speaks to the other employee and then takes another call - no acknowledgment I am even there. I leave the bag, walk down the aisle and grab my stuff. I hear the manager announce she is going out for a smoke. I walk back to the counter (where I left the bag) a second employee (also in a "Team O'Reilly" t-shirt) is now at the counter with the first one a couple terminals down chatting. Still no acknowledgment. I pick up the bag and bring it down to them with my parts. I set down the bag and tell them I have a few parts I didn't need and wanted to get the others I had with me. The first words I hear spoken to me "So this is a return?". Uh, yes. He then asks if I want to do this transaction "all together". I say yes. He scans the clamps, studies the receipt and asks if I have the card the purchase was originally made on. I tell him I think so and hand him a card - not the right one. I ask where it shows the card number, I look and realize it's an old card I no longer have. I mention that I am buying more than I am returning so there is no credit that will be issued against the card. The next response "it doesn't make any difference if it's a $100 profit that's what I have to deal with. This job ain't worth getting in trouble over". I mention it's not worth my time and trouble to do business there, take my part and leave. WTF?!?! Is this the best we can do??? I try to do business locally so as to keep folks employed, paying taxes etc., but this is why I buy more and more online. This is also why I do most of my parts business with parts stores that do not cater to retail. Also, t-shirts? If your a great counterman I can tolerate it - a dude with a poor attitude in a t-shirt, no thanks. Maybe a bit more professional attire would prompt a more professional attitude. Sorry O'Reilly's, your hiring of this poor attitude employee will just prompt me to travel (the same distance) in another direction the next time I need something. Maybe I'm just a cranky old fart, but it's now too much to ask for "I'll be with you in a minute". I will dress in a professional manner. If I can't help you I will ask my manager, or at least not quasi-bitch about my job??? I can throw the $10 in clamps away and still eat tomorrow. Am I really asking for too much here??? read more
