A store employee called my cellphone and and left a message stating that the battery was not in stock and my order was cancelled. No offer of a suitable in stock replacement or any other information. Now that is some weak service. I have been buying batteries from this store since the early 2000s. Looks like is time to more over to Interstate batteries. Whenever the hubby needs some unusual kind of battery, this is the place to go. He found a battery for our alarm system there a while back and this visit he got new batteries for his alarm/door opener for his truck. Check their hours...yesterday they closed at 6. We got there about 550 and he was in and out in no time. Oh, it seems they can also fix phone screens. At least that's what I read in some reviews. Batteries Plus damaged my Samsung Galaxy G8+ cell phone during a routine replacements of my damaged front glass screen. The technician overheated my phone thus damaging the replacement screen therefore necessitating his replacing it with a second screen. The problem is that now my phone battery performs poorly because it was so badly overheated. The 2nd problem is that the technician smudged my camera phone lens. Subsequently most photos show the effect of lens flare, which appears as haze. The manager of the Batteries Plus on Shaw Avenue Fresno offered to replace the battery and camera at no charge after she ordered parts. So we made an appointment at which time she would personally perform the repair. However when I returned to the store to have the service performed, this manager was not in and the staff would not perform the repair at no charge nor contact her. When I contacted the store 2 days later, the manager was no longer employed there and staff nor their superiors would authorize the repair at no charge. Then I spoke with Alex at Batteries Plus corporate customer service line and he said that the corporation could not force the store to repair the damage at no charge. read more

Terrible customer service. A part-time Sales Associate continued idle chat with another customer knowing I was waiting for assistance. He mentioned he would be right with me, but that never happened. They chatted during the transaction, which I can understand to a certain extent, but it was overdone. They continued to chat when the transaction was completed. I put my items down and left. Update: All their CR button batteries made by a no name brand and die within months. On third now. Toyota Prius FOB batteries last years. This store didn't stock Duracell Ultra Platinum. Canceled my online order without re routing to new store. New store at 95 W Shaw had my Prius battery in stock. They tested and installed late evening for free. read more

Their website makes a big deal they are a recycler for UPS batteries. Store manager was put out that I brought them a stack of batteries. He told me he would not give me a receipt for the batteries since Batteries Plus did not sell them to me. Will look for another recycler to do business with. read more

Just bought a charger for a tablet yesterday and had told them the model number for the tablet I had and got it for me. Once I actually got home and tried using it, I found out it didn't work on my tablet... It was too late to go to the store by then so I went in today. The associate then tells me he can't do anything because "they don't do returned chargers because of policy." WAIT what!? Then tells me that he doesn't understand why the manager yesterday didn't tell me that or stamp my receipt for final sale. He says he'd take my number and give it to the manager and even when I said well then you're false advertising your return policy because NOWHERE on your receipt or sign does it say "final sale on chargers." He tells me well that's a policy that is different than ours... What a joke. I'm definitely going to be writing corporate if the manager does not refund me my money. read more

What a great business. I was looking for a battery for a Motorola Droid 4 and all I could find were off brand parts online. When I did find a Motorola part it was sold out and $70. I called this store and not only did they have the part in stock it was $20 cheaper. When I got to the store I genuinely felt like I was their #1 priority. These guys are were life savers that day. The Staff is fantastic!! I went in to get my iPhone worked on. I asked the young lady if they could replace the charging port. She looked up the part and it wasn't in stock. But then she inspected my phone and asked if she could try to clean it. She pulled out some much lint and dust out my phone and cleaned the port really well. We plugged it in and it started charging with no problem!!! I was so appreciative that she didn't just send me away, she really made the extra effort to fix my issue. My son broke his phone--screen and LCD. The phone at that point, was completely useless. We called Batteries Plus Bulbs the day it happened (yesterday) and they were able to get us in by 10 am the following day (today.) The phone was fixed within an hour. That's fast. I ran errands and by the time I was done, they called me and said it was fixed. I went in and picked it up, the gentlemen who worked there (there were two men), went over everything with me and the phone was literally as good as new. I mean, you'd never know it was broken. Not only did they successfully repair the phone in an extremely timely manner, they did it for an extremely affordable price and added a coupon for $10 off. Plus, they offer a free six month warranty. To top it off, when I left, I dropped my ATM card which was returned back to them by another customer (thanks, whoever you are) and they called me and let me know that they had it. I just told them to hang on to it until I came to pick up the phone (you pay after), which is a risky move but I was in the middle of something. But they proved trustworthy. Honestly, I would go here again for phone repair. In fact, it'll be my go-to place from here on out. Why not? I purchased a battery for a Samsung S5. When I was unable to get the.phone transferred to a new carrier I tried to return the battery. After first saying the lady owner would have to make the decision and she would be in the next morning at 8 AM I came then. The owner was not there and then I was told she would be in at Noon. I returned at noon and explained the situation. She said she could not take it back because "I was.told that after I walked.out of the store it is considered used and could not be taken back." Called yesterday to ask price of battery change for iPhone 6 and was told it was $29.99 with a coupon. Drove 45 minutes to have manager say that they have never offered such deal and the battery replacement is $59.99. The manager offered 10% off in the wake of misunderstanding but when it came time to pay, with the so called 10% off, and somehow the total came out to $58.99. I was told misleading information on two separate occasions. Paying for a battery is cheaper than a new phone and they did indeed fix my problem. So for that they get two stars. Other than that, they're just as scummy as any other phone repair place. read more

I recently bought an AGM battery for my motorcycle. Every month or two I start the motorcycle to make sure the battery charge is up. About six weeks ago I did that and everything seemed fine. A few days ago I went to do it and it was completely dead. So I put my trickle charger on it for two days, and the battery condition did not change. So I pulled the battery out and put it on a full-size charger on 2 amp and within three minutes the charger kicked off and gave me an error code that said it had an internal short. Today I took it in to batteries plus in Fresno, where I have a one year warranty with two months left on that warranty. I was told by the sales associate and the manager that they would not except a warranty battery if it had less than 10 Volts in the battery. They told me to take it home (I live in the mountains an hour and a half away) and charge it and then bring it back, and that it had to have at least 10 V for them to honor the warranty. What's the point of the warranty if it's only replacing a battery that's a little bad, but not replacing the battery they sold me that is completely bad. I will never do business with batteries plus again. Their warranty is a total scam, the manager told me to flip the warranty paper over and look at the fine print on the back and that's where it explains their "10 volt policy". If I could control how many volts were in the battery, I wouldn't have the problem to begin with! Total scam. Buy batteries from a reputable company. read more

That store advised I could take the battery to any batteries plus location to return to save the shipping charge back to the original store. This store, however, refused to return the full purchase price and charged 15%. The original store advised most franchisees work collaboratively together to serve customers and they were SHOCKED to hear another store did this and they advised the matter would be addressed with the parent company. This store may back up and support their own customers, but they sure didn't do what was expected of them with this batteries plus customer from elsewhere. read more

Bad service brought my iPhone to fix cracked screen and they ruined it now it does not work can't make phones calls or use my camera also the manger does give any customer service plus they had my phone for 5 hours and change the screen twice and could fix a crack screen . I went to this location before going to Best Buy for them to check out my laptop. The guy was straight-forward and honest with me and what I needed to do for my lifeless laptop. They encouraged me not waste my money on charging adaptors and batteries before fixing the initial problem. While talking to him, another guy came in and was also encouraged to not waste his money on something he didn't really need or would solve his problem. I had my iPhone 6 Plus screen replaced at Batteries Plus Bulbs. After I got my phone back, Siri and front facing camera microphone did not work. I took it back to Batteries Plus Bulbs within the warranty period and the technician indicated he could not do anything for me after he looked at it. I took it to iToy Repair in Fresno, CA and they were able to correct the issue. I do not recommend Batteries Plus Bulbs for mobile phone repairs. read more
