Went in a few days later and purchased a charger, phone case, and screen protector WITH the protection plan. My charger didn't work from the get. Went back to the store to exchange it for a working charger and was told bc I didn't have my receipt they couldn't do anything AND Joe was no longer with the company. A young lady with a bad attitude, name starting with an A, told me to give her 48hrs to try to locate my receipt in their system. I gave "A" three days before I called up there and was told their system had been down. They've had no luck. Give them some more time and they'd call. The next week, still no word from anyone, so I popped back in. There, I was told "A" was no longer with the company (I can't even make this stuff up) manager, we'll call "P", said he'd personally be on it. Took my name and number down, STILL not replacing my damaged charger AND I needed a new screen protector put on due to a cracked screen. Nothing was done that day bc THEIR employees didn't put it into their system under my account?? Left very upset but tried to be patient and trust that "P" would make things right. After two days I tried to contact "P" bc he clearly forgot about me or hoped I'd go away. Went back up to the store at 10:30am to be told from a worker in the parking lot that they couldn't get into their building, "you'll have to come back". So I did later that afternoon. A different lady "helped" me as she made me wait for 20 min (there was no one else in the store) to tell me "P" was in a meeting. He never came out to help me. She handed me a new charger and screen protector and says, "P" ate this for you, just know if anything happens to these it's on you". Being a customer with AT&T for 10+ yrs and paying them more than enough money each month, you'd think things would have been handled differently. Absolutely disgusted. One star bc I had to.

He immediately told me they were currently running a sale for BOGO on the Apple Watches and proceeded to tell me about them and the options he had available for me at the store. I picked two watching under the pretext that they were part of the BOGO sale. The man even told me how great of a sale it was at he was sad that he was single and didn't have someone else to give the second watch to. I went through with the sale and that was it. I usually just pay my bill online and kept it moving. I happen to actually look at my bill and realize I'm being charged for the second watch, I call AT&T and they tell me that the watches I picked were never part of that sale and since it's outside of the return window. The employee there who called himself "TJ" mentioned that her phone was cracked (upsell tactic) and offered to fix it. She specifically told the employee that she didn't want the back of her phone fixed, just her battery replaced. The employee took the phone and told her it would be about an hour to replace so she left and came back when it was ready. She discovered the back of the phone was replaced and the battery remained. She complained that she did not ask for this service and requested her initial service. To her dismay the employee informed her there would be an extra charge for the service of her initial request and would only offer a discount for his mistake. He admitted his mistake but still had the gall to charge her. This is unacceptable that she received and paid for a service she specifically said she did not want. She has been scammed and everyone needs to know what type of business they may deal with when going to this establishment. Be wary of their business. Chase, the Retail Associate, quickly asked me what my need was and listened patiently as I explained to him that I was not happy with my current AT&T plan and wanted to make changes. What transpired next is what I call the epitome of a perfect customer experience. Chase patiently explained my options, showed me exactly what they looked like from a financial standpoint, and then showed me the products (phone, watch, etc.) that could meet my needs. By the time it was all done, I was set up with a much better plan, had an upgraded phone, and a new Apple watch, and had a much better understanding of what to expect from my bill than I ever had to leave a phone set up before. I think the best part was the ease at which the young man went about doing his job. He was very easy to talk to, did not try to oversell me on a bunch of things I did not need (which sold me on shopping around the store! ), and was just very pleasant with all the customers. Chase not only made a huge impression on me, but he greatly improved my opinion of AT&T in the market (Southern/North Carolina). That young man has success in his future. I took my $600, 4 year old reciever in after a lightening strike fried it…read more George (owner) said it's $40 to trouble shoot, but was prob a bad hdmi board, which may be expensive. They did some diagnostics, discovered it WAS a fried hdmi board. They priced the replacement board at $375, and labor at $100 minus $40 diagnostic fee that they apply to repair costs. I'm thinking that's too much to spend. They agreed. You can get an updated version, new, for just a little more. But they hooked it up to some speakers and played from a cd. So George said, take it home and listen to radio, cds, Bluetooth (analog input) and enjoy. Thats what I'm doing. Sound advice, pardon the pun. I found them to be reasonable, professional and personable. It was my first time there. After reading other reviews, I started not to go. But other hi fi, home entertainment pros I know and trust insisted they were good folks. And MY experience backed up what the PROS said.
