I have been in store several times and while he staff are not business contract attorneys,they have a lot of knowledge in dealing w phone contracts,what insurance covers etc. and can help appease some worries or anxiety related to phone service losses. Micah at uBreakiFix was totally awesome. First off, he's incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. More importantly, he actually paid attention to the problem. He noticed right away why my iPad wouldn't charge -- my kid had snapped off the male tip of the charging cable inside the port. Micah pulled out some specialty tweezers, popped it right out in seconds, and said, "This one's on the house." I then asked about replacing the battery, and instead of upselling me, he walked me through the cost honestly and pointed out that at that price point, I was getting very close to the cost of a newer used iPad. I had an older Sony compact laptop that had a broken component. It sat in my office for years before I decided to see if I could get it fixed. The techs at uBreakiFix took a look at it and let me know the costs and parts breakdown. I didn't think it was worth the cost of the parts needed, though, compared to the cost of buying a replacement system. Not an issue for them. They offered to dispose of the system (now worthless to me) or let me pick it up. Either way, there was no charge for the diagnostic service! Sweet! I arrived around 4:25pm to get my work phone screen fixed as I cracked it an hour or so prior. I have coverage through Verizon and this location is an authorized retailer to fix screen. Thankfully, it'll only cost me $29. When I walked in, there were two other customers and no one at the counter. Someone came out around 3-4 minutes later and talked to one of the customers. While waiting, I noticed they sell chargers and cases for hooked and iPads. Around 4:30pm, I was provided assistance. I did have to disable find my iPhone, but I was unsure why. I was told that it would be ready in 2 hours. I thought they would've called me since they took my number, but they didn't. I came back around 6:40pm. They closed at 7pm. The parking lot was PACKED! I assume it was due to people being at Outback or iHop. There was no line when I walked in and no one at the desk. Someone from the back said they would be shortly. The wait was maybe 1-2 minutes. My phone was ready when I arrived. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Screen was no longer cracked, yay! read more

Avoid this business. They are shady and unscrupulous. They will damage your phone on purpose to change the claim type. They are obviously getting paid more to run a claim through Asurion than going through the phone manufacturer. If you leave a bad review, they respond by asking you to call them so they can make it right; however, when you show up at their store to have them resolve the issue, they refuse you service. I'm not saying that every uBreakiFix is like this, but the ones in Greensboro and Burlington, NC are. There is a reason they are not a BBB accredited business and it's because they will lie, cause damage to your phone and then go out of their way to screw you over when you post a negative review. IF I was able to leave a zero star review I would. My daughter took her computer in to have her screen fixed. She is a college student in the thick of her finals, so it was imperative that we get it fixed quickly. Being that she is still a young adult, I had her keep me on the phone while she described the problem. She let the young man know she needed her screen replaced. She showed him the problem and explained that she wasn't sure how she managed to do it. I also explained to him what the problem was. He then explained that he could fix it and that it would be best for us to purchase one of the protection plans. He even said if we didn't need it in the future, we could cancel it at any time. After purchasing it, and leaving the computer to be fixed, she received a call a few hours later saying there was a problem with the price. It would no longer be $40 but instead $400. He said he misquoted her something he had heard earlier in the week, because he was "new". I called back and he told me the same. I told him, that wasn't on me or my daughter, we paid the quoted price and we shouldn't be victim to this bait and switch. I asked to speak to the manager, he placed me on hold and said "the manager says he is going to lunch and he will talk to you later." Infuriated by this answer, but being 3.5 hours away, I had no choice but to wait for him to go to lunch and get back with me. Upon calling me back, he told me that they would not honor the quote that we were given because he "didn't want to lose money". Just a horrible experience altogether. read more

I will have to say that they did a great job fixing my phone's screen. The only reason the review gets 3 out of 5 stars is because when I originally called they said it would take about one hour to repair but when I checked in they said 3 hours. I asked for a call on my work cell when they were done but when I didn't hear from them I eventually called myself. Im also curious on why my phones log in info is needed to fix the front. They're pretty fast when it comes to repairs, I would check your device properly before you leave the store or let them let as be your house if you have a house call. There has been two occasions now where they replaced my phone screen and I got an error in the settings notifying me of an unknown part added to my phone and the Face ID and camera stopped working. I had to get an entirely new phone but my insurance replaced it for free. read more

Not one star !!! This is Your worst nightmare!!!! Brought in my laptop for a data issue, when I cameback to pick it up, it was nowhere to be found!!! It took ages for the technician to comeback to the front and tell me what was going on, when he finally did, he said my computer had been misplaced with the ones for recycling and he was looking for all the pieces to put it back together!!! He cameback a second time with a crooked laptop missing a screw in one corner which made it impossible to close. I had also left a harddisk for them to transfer my data a 2T $120 USD one, and it was also missing!!! And finally found I had pre paid $ 80 dollars for the data transfer and was not refunded a penny considering the damaged laptop. The manager was extremely defensive no way to talk. When Geek Squad at Best Buy which I highly recommend, opened the damaged laptop, said there were many internal pieces missing, and the hardisk was hanging in there by a brin.!!! In the past, I've always fixed my screens and I'm about to do it again because of the shoddy job these kids did on my iPhone. I knew I shouldn't have let my bf talk me into getting them to fix my phone but I appreciate him and his willingness to get my phone "fixed" by them. First the kid tried to tell me my battery was swollen and he could tell by the crack in my screen, wrong. I know how my screen broke and I didn't have any problems with the battery before it broke nor after and my battery is still in great shape and isn't swollen. Second, after receiving my phone, I noticed that the screen wasn't even properly put on and there was a gap into my phone itself which assisted in the entire screen shattering after dropping the phone in a sitting position from my knee to the floor. If the screen had been properly installed, it wouldn't have shattered like it did the second time.. in its case might I add. Here's some advice. Go on Amazon and purchase your own replacement parts and either fix your device yourself or message me on Facebook. Just needed a screen replacement for iPhone7. No issues having them use my insurance for the repair. So that was great. But the gentleman who took it had a very poor attitude and seemed like he could care less. Also needed to pull his pants up if he's going to work in a place business. However I was quoted it would take only two hours so I got there early to make sure it would be completed first and then had lunch and waited around to be back 2 hrs later. When I arrived, It was not completed and was told it would take another 20 min and they'd bring it out to me in my vehicle. 45 min later I came in and they said it still wasn't completed and needed another 5 min to finish diagnostics. The gentleman who finally got it out to me was professional and patient with me being upset and I appreciated that esp since I know it wasn't his fault. Look I'm fine if it takes longer and even willing to leave it to pick it up another day. just let me know or send a text saying that it's taking longer so I'm not waiting around wasting my day. read more
