What made me especially happy about batteries + is they will repair older model iphones. Best Buy would not repair the iphone 7plus. They installed a battery in my watch. I walked in minutes before they closed and there was no rush and no attitude and no mention about how they were closing. BIG PLUS and kudos for providing service regardless of hours. RARE! This company is sketchy. They accepted our return but would not refund our money, almost $250. They stated they couldn't refund the money back to my card, were unable to refund via cash, and would provide a refund check that we could come pick up when management had it ready. We never heard back from them and every time we attempt to follow up we get dodged. They refuse to provide any contact information for management. Company straight up stole $122.06 from me Took a brand new battery that I bought from them back. Was told the manager would have to give me a refund when he gets back and to leave the battery there. Called and called and called, same response have to wait for a manager. Called corporate they finally got to talk to the manager and he told them the battery was completely dead and they would not give me a refund and they don't have the battery anymore. I made an appointment to have my phone battery replaced. At 9am I walked into the store for my appointment. The employee said he did not look at the appointment schedule. Then he proceeded to tell me the battery was not in stock & it would be ordered. I went back after receiving a call saying the battery was in. Dropped my phone off & went back later to pick up. Do Not purchase anything from this store that you might need a warranty for. The owner will find a way to make it unwarrantable, including breaking a warranty seal that was not previously broken. Corporate BPB will not offer you any help. Manager gave me a faulty iPhone 8 screen and refused to issue me a refund. I can't type on my phone now and his only solutions offered to fix it were to put my broken screen back on or I can work with a faulty broken phone that doesn't type until Wednesday when they get more screens in. He was unsympathetic and uncaring about the problem and acted like it was my fault he gave me a bad screen. I paid over $100 for a screen that doesn't work and he refused to offer a refund. I went here after reading the good reviews after I paid the almost 200 dollars to get my phone fixed at a "reliable" store the day after my phone started glitching bad. I went back up there for them to check it and they claimed nothing was wrong but said they would fix it but they didn't have screens yet that's fine I was patient. They took almost a month called me and told me they had a screen and they would save it called back the next day and the guy said he had to give my screen to someone else that had the same problem ?? Because three other customers got broken screens but when I took it up there to get it looked at nothing was wrong lie number 1! So I was patient again when they said they would call back when they had more screens silence for another two weeks I called them back and another guy said they have always had the screen! So in the end they have very poor miscommunication, lie and they don't do good work! read more

ZERO STARS.I went in for a typical screen repair for my iPhone. When I picked the phone up after screen replacement my phone would not hold a charge past 1%. Even plugged up, it would die every 2 minutes. I couldn't make a phone call, finish a text, or complete any single task on my phone. I was LIED to OVER and OVER again that the part to fix the new problem they created would be in Thursday or Friday. Then I was told Saturday. Then I was told they never told me Saturday. Then it turned into next Wednesday. 4 days in a row the manager was supposed to call me back. NEVER received a call. Continued to be lied to and get the run around with a BROKEN phone caused by these imbeciles. I literally had to drive to the North Tarrant store which is FAR from my house because an employee told me the manger would be working at that location. When I arrived at the store, the manager was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional, did not apologize for all I had been through the last 4 days and continually cut me off as I was speaking. They had to send my phone off to corporate to get fixed for 3 more days. They rufused to give me a refund and did not offer to give me a loaner phone as they sent my phone off to be fixed after THEY broke it. DO NOT EVER USE THEM FOR ANY PHONE REPAIRS OR ANY SERVICE FOR THAT MATTER. Worst customer service I've experienced in my ENTIRE life. They have no clue what they are doing and are extremely disrespectful and don't want to own up to any mistakes they make. Will NEVER do business here EVER again. Spread the word. DO NOT buy a battery from this location. After letting them talk me into buying a battery for over 300 to get a 5 year warranty, I brought the battery in 5 separate times because it wouldn't hold a charge. Three battery is two years old and hasn't held a charge since the first year. Each time they said it tested good and sent me away. The last time they couldn't get it to take a charge either, but did since it was brought in so low they wouldn't honor the warranty. Even though two weeks earlier I brought it in and it had over 10 volts but wouldn't crank my boat. After a lengthy argument discussing the problems I've had with it and the documented times I brought it in, they still refuses to warranty it. We bought a sealed unit battery with a 4-year warranty from the Lake Worth, TX store in May of 2019. In April of 2020, the battery stopped taking a charge. My husband took the battery in and was told that the battery was so low that it had to be something that we were doing. They refused to honor the warranty. I called the corporate office for help. Although the Lake Worth store is a franchise, the corporate office did reach out to intervene. They were told the battery was corroded which indicated that it had not been cared for. This was totally untrue. The sealed unit had NO corrosion on it whatsoever, but I guess that sounded good to them and they know the corporate office really can't do anything to them. When I called them back to address these issues, the manager was very rude, talked over me, and ultimately laid the phone down while I was speaking because he said "he had other things to do." The owner of this store, nor the manager are honorable people. I absolutely WOULD NOT recommend buying anything from this store at all! Very expensive lesson. Not only were they overpriced, the management was terrible and they had to fix multiple errors before I had to take it elsewhere. Bought a car battery here online. When I brought back my core on a Friday for refund the associate refunded me for the battery and not the core (honest mistake). Over the weekend I received a call saying their credit card machine was malfunctioning and I may have been overcharged for my purchase. By Monday, I had a voicemail and a text from Lars Christensen, manager, saying they aren't in the business of giving away batteries and they would be pursuing charges if I didn't come in to resolve the issue. I was out of town for work and told Lars I would come in when I returned. By the following Monday (after I talked to Lars) I had emails from the owner, Wayne Merritt, explaining the charges, court costs, etc. they would pursue because I hadn't come in. Absolutely terrible. I went in to have my screen replaced on 8/24/2017 and came out with a phone that is completely unusable. Never had an issue with the screen prior to the repair at Batteries Plus. Subsequent to the repair, the screen would fail to respond to touch. The only way to fix was a hard reset. Would have to perform a hard reset every 30 minutes. I run a small business and my phone is essential. I would miss calls frequently because I could not swipe the screen to answer. Went back in 6 times and the problem was never resolved. I have since had to replace the phone. The store refuses to even refund the cost of the "repair." Instead, they're hiding behind some fine print and offering to "fix" the new problem for an additional $99. Store manager Larz has not so much as offered an apology. Terrible manager Lars and his employee Chris. Bought a $90 6v truck battery to see if the engine in a recently purchased old 1950 Chevy Truck would turn over. Only takes a few minutes to know. A 6v battery is rare and not something I would have sitting in my garage. I told the employee Chris, who I was buying the battery from, exactly what I was doing. Told him if it doesn't work then engine will be bad and I will need to return the battery. I specifically asked how long I have before I can return the battery. He told me 30 days. Truck engine was bad but when I took the battery back with my receipts the manager Lars told me 2 weeks only on returns. I explained everything and he said "Sorry that's the policy and it's on the receipt". I said "You don't get it and now I am out 90 dollars because your employee told me 30 days and your policy is in microprint on the back of a receipt and that's even after the sale!" I returned the next day after talking to my wife about it and sleeping on it because I felt it just wasn't fair. Lars said his employee Chris said he told me 2 weeks on returns. I said your employee is lying to save his own ass and I would like to speak to him. Of course he wasn't there. I then told Lars it was the very 1st time I ever bought a car battery from them and after this experience I will never purchase anything from their store again. I also told Lars that I have been buying my home alarm, security cameras, and hearing aid batteries from them for many years. I told him as a manager it did not make sense to refuse the refund in my situation knowing he is going to lose all my business yet alone telling everyone I know about my terrible experience. Lars let his immature and lacking social skills interfere with a good decision. I predict he will not be manager very long with this type of customer interaction.
