The Rockwall store, after several not so great experiences and hearing worse stories than mine, I have sworn off permanently. So, have visited the Mesquite store since. Bought batteries there to avoid Rockwall. Had one good experience but on the subsequent visit, they tried to gouge me seriously on a motorcycle battery (the same one exactly) which I got at Autozone for $50 less. The employee gave me the wrong charger. Try to take it back couldn't because of the return policy after 14 days. This is bad service tell me before you take my money and train the employee to identify the correct charger. read more

They sold me a car battery with a 4 year warranty and when it went dead in less than a year they tried to pass off a warranty for a BOAT battery and said we were at fault for the battery being dead. Typical bait and switch. I might have to use them for hard to find little batteries but would Never spend any serious money there. read more

I like this place they had all sorts of batteries, chargers and related gadgets. One thing that really prompted this review is that my phone had an issue and not the battery. This is my go-to place for anything battery related. They have typical A's, D's and 9 volts to cars, computers, cell phones and other harder to find batteries. They also have many styles and sizes of light bulbs. And some unique, hard to find items related to lights and batteries. They are very attentive and helpful. And are happy to install batteries for you in things like watches, equipment, even a dog toy I couldn't figure out how to install. They know what to do. Needed a battery for my car fob . I got the lifetime one ,as the battery was $9.99 or lifetime was $ 17.99 . The only problem was with the delivery guy he blocked me and another car in . Went to get a motorcycle battery. Sold me wrong one. Returned. Received correct one a day later. It was a lemon. Returned. Received another. Lasted for about a month and bought a $80 battery charger from them to troubleshoot ( not including the 2 battery tenders I bought from them). Told it was a possible bad lot of batteries. Received another and was told if this one failed they would not replace due to corporate policy. They also would not allow me to return battery. All in all I had to go to store 8 times, missed riding time, was stranded on a motorcycle, and most of all had to waste time getting frustrated in the store. The manager, John, said he would give me "crazy deal" for all that it had to go through. The deal I was offered was $5 off another battery I needed. I took that as more of a insult. This is not my normal experience with battery plus but this was a exhausting ordeal. Staff start out nice but hide behind "corporate policy" instead of doing the right thing. read more

Never buy a car battery from them. My battery was less than a year old when it died while I had my 2 young grandkids with me. Husband to the rescue. He took the battery back to Battery Plus. They said battery was fine and would not replace. He took my car to Auto Zone to have the alternator checked and they could not check because the battery was bad. Back to Batteries Plus. They still would not replace battery because they said it was good. So take 1/2day off work, go to my mechanic and he says battery is bad. Will never use or recommend Batteries Plus read more

While shopping in Arlington during the holidays, I bought a new laptop battery while picking up batteries to go with my holiday gifts. I didn't need the laptop one until going back to school for the spring semester so I set it aside until school resumed. I realized that I had bought the wrong battery and the receipt was long gone. I work in Mesquite, so I called the Mesquite store and spoke with a manager. I gave him my information, and he contacted the Arlington store and had a copy of my receipt faxed over so he could process my return. He also took down my laptop information over the phone, so he could have the correct battery ready when I came in later that day to make my return. They were a great help and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. read more

I'm not sure what the disgruntled Joe M. is talking about down there, but I frequent this Batteries Plus at least two to three times a month and the service here is beyond excellent. Every time I need a battery no matter what application it may be, this place will have it and the staff here is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
