I'm not one to ever leave a poor review. Especially working in a dealership setting both in sales and later transferring into service. A dealer prides itself on its reviews. I have given them benefit of the doubt but here we are.
I came to battleship to purchase a bike at their tent event. The bike looked great and surprisingly didn't seem to leak any oil (96 ci 30k miles). They told me it was a one owner bike and gave me this big elaborate story of how the original owners son owned a speaker shop and did all the sound stuff on the bike, etc. A week after purchasing the bike it was finally delivered. I rode the bike twice and realized I had a wobble in the rear end and a substantial oil leak. I understand Harleys leak oil but this was excessive. So before my 30 day warranty expired, They came and picked up my bike which was excellent. After they had the bike a few days they called me to tell me that they were going to be buying my bike back and not fixing the issues. I had to take the next day off work to drive up there to see what was going on. I arrived the next morning and after a brief conversation with the sales manager I worked with, I found out the bike had never gone through the shop and was never serviced in general. As it turns out they bought the bike off of a guy who got it from a power sports store and he only put 200 miles on it before trading it in. Not only did they lie right to my face they then tried to put me on two different bikes that were clearly out of my price range and told me I would need to fill out another credit application. They were certain they would take care of it and make sure the payments were very close. So Ofcorse I said ok and they ran my credit yet again. Obviously they gave me false hope and the payments were very far off. They offered to give me my down payment back but refused to reimburse me for all the other expenses I have had through out the process of dealing with them. So in the end they admitted the bike should have never been sold and should have gone straight to auction. They offered to fix the bike but told me it would still leak oil after being fixed but they would replace the rear wheel and tire (wheel spokes were all lose and 2 were broken) I personally can't believe they made it somehow pass inspection. I am a mass vehicle inspector myself and there is NO WAY that bike would have properly passed mass state inspection. This experience makes me sick to my stomach. I may not have purchased a super expensive brand new bike but I am still a paying customer. The way they do business is slimy and built on lies and story telling. The only positive experience I have had with this circus of a dealership was mike the transport driver who delivered and picked up my bike and Trissity in the sales department.
Overall I would not recommend buying a used motorcycle from this dealership regardless of age/mileage. If you do choose to purchase a used bike here, make sure you know your stuff or bring someone who does. read more
