I was at the nearby rest stop with a tire on my RV that kept losing air. I knew I needed to get it fixed before I headed back to Texas, so I found Jack's. I called and told them my problem and they told me to come right over. I was in and out in about 45 minutes with a bad valve stem repaired and a lower cost than I thought I would have. Once again Jacks tire failed me miserably. I brought my small pull behind trailer tire they fixed last month that had leaked eversince in for repair. Not only did they charge my last month $180.00 for 2 garden trailer tires, they charged another $22 for another tube in to replace the one they either pinched while installing or put a defective one in the tire. Ive been a customer for over 20 years. For the last 2 years or so the customer service is crap. They don't listen to you nor do they even act as if they do. I'm done with them. read more

This tire dealer does so much more than tires, and with great customer service and really competitive prices. It was years I lived in the area before I realized they did brakes, alignments, suspension, oil changes and battery replacement. If you just compare tire prices, you won't be getting the complete quote. Jack's, unlike its competition, always quotes everything--even taxes and fees--so there are no surprises. Pretty sure if you are in the greater Rockford or Janesville area, you won't find a more caring, high quality place for tires or any of these services. Fantastic if you're wanting to be treated like garbage and disrespected. My dad had repairs done, he had to cancel half of it. The more expensive. They were very unprofessional about it. They still got paid still recognized for the work. They even parked the truck where no one could see it because of the condition. I purchased new tires and tire pressure (TPMS) sensors, which includes mounting, balancing and TPMS sensor calibration. On my way home from the store the tire pressure warning indicator came on. When I got home the tires didn't look low, and my tire gauge showed pressure of about 36/32 psi (front/back). The problem is the specification for my vehicle is 41/44 psi. This brought into question, in my mind, whether the sensors had been calibrated correctly. When I brought the car back the following day the staff response to me was sullen and unapologetic for their mistake. I specifically asked to have the sensor calibration rechecked to make sure it was correct. This was not done, they just added air to the tires and basically blew me off. Although I used and recommended "Jacks" in the past, I will no longer use them for my car care, and would NOT recommend them to any one else. read more

I dropped my tractor off Monday the 19th of September, before dropping it off, I was told over the phone that it would get done that same day. But once I did drop it off the owner said it would take 2-3 days to complete. After several phone calls of excuses saying that they were short handed or that they didn't have the truck to be able to change the tractor tires, I went in to pick it up after 12 days and when I got there, the guys that were supposed to work on it told me that they couldn't do it because "it has bad rims" when they were the ones who did work on the rims not to long ago and said they were fine. This business has gone down hill over the past years, if you can't do the job then let me know from the get go, instead of wasting my time with excuses. read more

I sent my daughter to Jacks to get an alignment on her car. On her arrival she was attacked for not having a mask that made her feel a little uncomfortable. DIRTY BUSINESS PRACTICES as they flat out took advantage of my husband when he brought my car in for me as I was at home with a sick toddler. I was recommended by both my parents and grandma and as I just moved back to the area from the Chicago suburbs I called to make an appointment and they did get me in the same day. When I called and told them all the stats of my tires/car they said "we have several in that size right now for you to choose from", but when my husband brought it in and told them I was the one who made the appointment and spoke with them on the phone they just put (probably their most expensive tire ($183.39 for one tire) on it and said "your car is done", had him pay, and he was done all in about 30 minuets which is great, but my husband wasn't told of any options and THEY DIDN'T EVEN MATCH OUR TIRE, they put a Cooper tire on it when all other 3 are Goodyear!!!!! He was shocked when he got home as its WAY more than we ever paid even in the suburbs and he was even more shocked that wasn't what I selected, that they took it upon themselves to put their most expensive tire on it knowing my husband was just dropping the car for me and had not spoke to them before himself!!! read more
