I've tried this place twice. First time they were out of pretty much everything so I gave it another go. The mozzarella was pretty good, the wings my friend ordered tasted good she said but the size was interesting to me. They were very small, and she was okay with that since she's a picky eater. Anyways my shrimp poboy was awful, I tried to like it because I love naan bread and shrimp and I unfortunately thought it would be a good choice. It wasn'ta. Baumhower's Victory Grille is really cool! I'm glad to see they decided to reopen a location here in Mobile. They have some really good menus items. The staff seems fine although it took the hostesses a while to figure out where they wanted to seat us in a fairly empty restaurant. Our server was nice an accommodating. I love Baumhower's Grill, but today I was able to pick up some groceries from Baumhower's Victory Grocery! I placed my order online, and they brought the items to my car. I got chicken wings, burgers, 5 # shredded cheddar cheese, Thai Sweet Chili Sauce, Jamaican Jerk Sauce, and some TP! Everything was priced great (cheaper than grocery store), and the service was very fast! I'm happy to support these guys; to help them stay in business during these difficult times. They sold out within a couple of hours today but will be restocked tomorrow. read more

I was a customer at the bar waiting on my food when I realized I had been waiting at least 20 minutes for my food (I know it's not long but my food had been sitting in the window for quite some time) . The restaurant was not busy at all, seeing my food in the window I proceed to ask a server to give me my food her name was Amanada. Amanda was rude and asked me was it my food that I was asking for and said she had to double check to make sure I was at the bar. Rebecca the manager then asked if everything was okay, no one was concerned with the urgency to get customers their food at the bar seeing that the bartender is busy serving, selling drinks and entertaining guest. Dominque was a GREAT bartender and all props to him because if it wasnt for him I would have left the bar. read more

Really nice sports casual vibe with a good menu selection. Made my first trip to the new Victory Grill today for lunch. Congrats to them for having a packed house for lunch on a Thursday! I like the decor. Though it's in the mall it has the feel of a stand-alone restaurant. Nice job! My only complaint is that they only have 2 tables that accommodate more than a party of 4. I'm not sure what they were thinking with that but we had to wait 25 minutes to seat 4 adults and 2 kids...kind of frustrating. On to the food...all of our dishes were well prepared, nicely presented and full of flavor. Amongst our party we ordered 3 different burgers, 2 different wings orders and the Bobby Burger kids meal. All of them were good and my daughter LOVED the Bobby Burger meal! The wings were a nice size and the hot buffalo sauce was on point! Great flavor with just the right heat. I opted to upgrade my curly fries to their signature "gooey" fries, which basically equated to dumping queso on the fries and sprinkling bacon bits on top; not sure it was worth the greater than $2 additional charge but hey if it's your schtick then go right ahead! The service was speedy and the servers were very friendky. Also, I was told today that for lunch...sweet tea is free! Can't beat that in the South! Check out my pics. Stopped in today for lunch with the misses. The place was packed for lunch but they seemed to be be handling it well. I got the Chicken Philly Non. .... It was amazing. A huge chicken philly with their mojo spices on a large flatbread with grilled onion and peppers and gooey blanco sauce!!!!! . I asked for a side of the white bbq sauce because I put that stuff on everything....."chicken, fires, bean, greens, potatoes, tomatoes, ....YOU NAME IT!" The black and white bbq sauce is amazing. Ohhh lawd, hate to do it to them because in college this was our spot! It's just no one enjoyed their meal at our table, except my dad and its was 8 of us. I mean what happened?! The fries were plain and used to be seasoned curly fries yummy. The honey BBQ wings were tangy and not sweet at all. Didnt eat them all. The fried chicken sandwhich... just start over with that option. It was a NO. My mom had a grilled chicken wrap and didnt taste it but she complained about it and didnt finish it. Now my dad had garlic parmesan wings and he wouldn't share. I stole one and it was really good. So I'll give them that. Our waitress was cool. She dealt with late folks to our party, drinks ordered at all separate times, brought us napkins twice, brought us stuff for the kids, just always had to bring us stuff and she didnt act annoyed in front of us. So I'll give her props for that. Wish I remembered her name. We was by the bar at a table Friday night. No I know it's under a whole new management but the food needs work. Today was a good day for the Victory Grille. I wanted a Hot Lips salad so away I went after the gym. I was seated promptly and Brittany took my drinks order, Diet Pepsi. The Power Salad caught my eye and after speaking with Brittany, I chose it with the grilled shrimp with the Balsamic vinaigrette. EXCELLENT choice. The shrimp were plump, grilled perfectly and so flavorful with a peppery citrus glaze. The salad greens were fresh with feta, blueberries, raisins & nuts. The only negative on the salad was nothing was crunchy--I like a little crunchy on my salad. No need to fear tho...I ordered a side order of the new onion strings--perfect amount of crunch. Stopped in with the Mrs., had to run to the mall (that closes at 7 FYI, missed it by ten) and found mall closed. Pretty hungry and haven't been to Baumhower's since they moved from across the interstate. Pretty quiet with the mall being closed, nice clean well laid out establishment. Decent beer selection available and plenty of televisions, looks like a perfect spot for game day. Ordered the fire roasted wings, Mrs Pugterrier's new favorite wing spot, enough spice to notice, without calling the MFD to put out the flames. These are covered in sautéd onions and cheese with the sauce, ask for napkins but don't pass them up. I got the "Da' Boss Burger", and it was fabulous. Only complaint is it's one of those tall burgers that requires I unhinge my jaw like a snake to eat, came with curly fries that are pretty standard fried and salted potato. Spouse had the "Hot Bama Brown", a dish that we found less than good. Mrs flagged down a Manager, Don, and we ended up visiting with him for a bit. He took care of the issue and was the perfect representative for the company. We would return just because of him if no other reason, but the rest of the food was so good we certainly will be back. Our server, Sloane was always quick with tea refills, and kept us well taken care of. Think I have found a new spot to park the pug butt for Bama viewing this fall. If you haven't been lately, I strongly recommend giving them a visit. Tell 'em Mr. Pugterrier sent you, because that sounds funny if nothing else. (You May get a funny look too, as I doubt anyone knows who I am). We were seated and waited for over minutes with absolutely no acknowledgement. This was at 3:00 in the afternoon so not packed at all. Walked in and no one was at the host stand, the to-go area was also right when you walk in and the four girls there just looked at us like we were crazy. The food was average. The kids mac and cheese was the best thing on our table. A manager was yelling at an employee across the restaurant, just very unprofessional. There was a 2 for 1 appetizer special that we didn't know about until after we ordered and received one appetizer. We waited for 15 minutes to receive our check after asking for it. My sister and I are servers so we were quite amazed at how awful this place was. Honestly humorous how bad it was. Alrighty, this was our second trip here for dinner on Friday night. We had another couple with us this time. It was around 7:15 and we were seated right away. A few minutes later and our server came out and took the app and drink orders. That's where things went sorta South. The apps came out in about 7 minutes, but the drinks didn't. So, we waited and still nothing after another 15-20 minutes and the apps were stone cold by then..She finally came and said sorry that they had to deal with something..The food came out and was semi warm which is strange because our first visit was fantastic. My wife's Buffalo chicken sandwich was so overcooked that she ate the top bun and left the rest. We're really hoping that it was just an off night. Came here with hope that the Hot Bama Brown would be a decent representation of the hot brown you get from Louisville Ky. It was a masive disappointment. The Turkey tasted like it was open in the fridge pulling in the fridge taste. the tomato was over ripe to the point of sour. The bread was a soggy mess all it did was make paste at the bottom of the dish. The sauce was decentif not limited. The end result was just a big pile of smushed up baby food. I Did have the wings which were good. But hell its fried chicken sticks hard to screw that one up. I was quite confused when they decided to not toss the wings but rather just dump the sauce on the wings before serving so only one side of the wings get sauced. The picture collage tribute to Mobile sports features all the greats; including but not limited to Hank Aaron. This place is now the premier sports bar of Mobile. Complete with inside and outside seating. I ordered the Hot Bama Brown: sliced turkey topped with brown mushroom gravy, tomato and warm cheese sauce! OMG! Talk about comfort food! The honey ordered The Killer Bee; Baumhower's version of chicken and waffles. Herschel Walker's mama's version of the waffle topped with a deep fried boneless spicy chicken breast and local Alabama honey topped with an over easy egg! Hubby and I were out running errands and decided to give this new addition to the mall a try. The restaurant is nice inside and out, offering numerous televisions for sports viewing. (Ladies please note that this restaurant floor is very slick if you are wearing wedges or heels if it has been raining outside). Hubby got a burger with fries and really enjoyed it. I opted for the fish tacos and barely made it through the first one. The fish tasted like it had been cooked in hamburger grease and maybe it had. There are "killer" fish tacos in this town, so please don't put one on the menu if it is just an afterthought. I guess I should have sent the food back, but decided to let it go. We live on the coast, so if you are going to serve seafood, it really needs to be awesome. So here is the bottom line: Atmosphere is great if you are looking for a place to have some cocktails and watch the game. Service was fine. Food was not very good. The chicken and waffles is incredible. Perfect amount of sweet and hot (they drizzle some syrup on the waffle and put a hot sauce on the chicken). Thursday night is ladies night & wine is 1/2 off (as well as other drinks) Me and my fiancé go almost every Thursday night and service is always wonderful. This place was really nice. When you walk in there are TV's EVERYWHERE! If you are going here to watch a game, you can watch them all from this place! It's awesome. I was with my daughters and my grandchildren so we were not there for the sports (we were actually shopping in the mall) anyway, they have a very nice patio section with nice patio furniture (like what you'd have in your own back yard, so we sat there and it felt homey the menus is reasonably priced, the food portions are big, you won't leave hungry that's for sure. I had their fish tacos, sooo yummy, would get them again, one daughter-had a burger and the other had a buffalo chicken sandwich the buns come branded cute, my grandson had hot wings, naturally he likes to rove how hot he can have them haha, our server kept bring him drinks lol.
