    Cajun Dirty Rice
    Jonnie M.

I had the fish with Cajun dirty rice on their food truck a couple of weeks ago and yesterday. This is the best dish I have had in a long time. I had the wings (natural) and egg rolls also. The service and ambiance is amazing. I of course had plenty of leftovers, having 3 servings out of this order. The prices are definitely worthy.

    Chopped Cheese?

I didn't have a great experience at Big A's Bando Brunch Bar Grill. I really want to enjoy it because I saw some great reviews. I ordered the chopped cheese which comes with fries. When I got home with my food and opened the box and didn't see the cheese. I thought maybe I was tripping. I ate the fries first and would worry about the cheese later. When I finished the fries, which were not bad, I turned my attention to the chopped beef. I picked up the sandwich and on the bottom saw a darkish green spot on the bun. The was mold on the bun!! I could not eat. Was there not any more buns?

We had family in town and we need somewhere to accommodate 25-30 ppl. They were able to accommodate us and the food was so hot, fresh, and delicious. The serving portions were great! The service was great from the entire staff. We will be back soon not all of us at once but individually... yummy!!

We had the sweetest and most attentive and waitress. The food was amazing! We ordered the the Philly cheesesteak omelet, the strawberry waffle chicken sandwich and loaded taters. Added note, the sweet tea is perfection. We'll be back to try more of the menu!! My husband loved the music!

1 thing about the military is that you end up making lifelong friends that end up becoming family, & there no telling where you'll run into them. This crew was 30 mins from me, so we decided to link up for brunch b4 I head home. Pulled up to BIG A's Bando Brunch * Bar * Grill. Server was super cool. That cinnamon Toast munch French toast with the eggs & conecuh was fire. Combine that with catching up with old friends & you can't beat it. Wish I had more time here, because I'd definitely come back again. If you're ever in Mobile, slide thru & grab some grub. #Travel #Foodie #Blackfoodietravels #mrnoveggies #itravelforfood #Alabama #Mobile #bigasbando #Family #Brunch #Bentongang

Big A's has an amazing array of food to choose from. The wait was a little long, but oh so worth it. The blueberry waffle was magnificent without syrup. The chicken was seasoned to perfection. I will visit again and bring the entire family. The facility is handicapped accessible and a large seating and waiting area. Well done!!

Because this spot is not pretending to be anything. This is full-on, unapologetic dive. And I mean that in the best possible way. You walk in and it's like the '70s, '80s, and a little bit of someone's '90s basement bar all got together and said, "Let's not change a thing." Old banquet-style tables, a bar top that feels like it's hosted a thousand stories, and walls that have clearly seen some things. I loved it immediately. Now let's talk food. The folks next to me were deep into the chicken and dumplings and talking about it like it was a life event. You know that kind of table chatter where you start reconsidering your order mid-bite? Yeah, that. I went shrimp po' boy... and no regrets. Shrimp fried just right. Crispy, flavorful, doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Solid sandwich. The fries... eh, they showed up a little tired. Not terrible, just kind of there. A little cold, a little soggy, like they'd already had a long day. But here's the twist. You don't come to Judy's for perfection. You come for personality. For the feeling that you just discovered a place that doesn't care about trends, doesn't need a remodel, and definitely isn't chasing Instagram. It just is what it is... and somehow that works. Fold this into your expectations. If you need polished, keep driving. If you want real, pull up a chair. It's fun. It's different. It's got character for days. Four stars. And honestly, half the star is just for staying exactly the same all these years.

No bad review Main course short ribs frites W/ au poivre EXCELLENT !!! Only regret no green peppercorns in the sauce (maybe due to farm to table requirements) Great food. Best lunch in Mobile as of today ! Service was good. However one of our entrees served 5 minutes after everyone else. Definitely recommend this place. One more thing: The pomes frites ABSOLUTELY THE BEST FRIES I HAVE EVER EATEN: BELGIUM HAS NOTHING ON THESE FRIES. I am 75 years old and been all over Europe. This is the birthplace of American Fries. THIS PLACE DESERVES TABLECLOTHS BTW: wood table sticky and did not feel clean due to finish on the table.

The sweet tea is the best we've ever had. The pickled shrimp is a classic 'Bama recipe. The Waygu double cheese burger will haunt my dreams with its juicy goodness. The steak & frites were very good. By the time we arrived, a bit after 6:30 pm, the chicken and dumplings were sold out. We ordered chicken fried chicken (which came with 2 sides) and a fried shrimp salad, (a dinner-sized) green salad topped with lightly fried shrimp and lots of croutons. While it took a bit of time before the food arrived, portions were quite generous, and the food was tasty. My husband said the potato salad and slaw were both on the sweet side, but he enjoyed them and the fried chicken. Service was very friendly. Payment is at the front counter, and there's a small surcharge for anything other than cash. After seeing reviews of this restaurant on Yelp and elsewhere, I thought it might be a good choice for us. I'm glad we went.

The staff were very friendly and cheerful - mostly teenagers working but all were chatty and willing to help. The menu is larger than I would expect. This presents a problem because it's difficult to choose what to eat -and- it means I'll have to go back to try something else. We both got vegetable plates so we could sample as many of the veggies/sides as possible. Everything was tasty and very nicely done. Some dishes were a little salty but nothing inedible. Highly recommended. We will definitely hit them up again when we are in the area.
