Then, during her final two days, when her condition declined and we ultimately had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye, that same level of care continued. Dr. Paravicini was absolutely wonderful. She was compassionate, patient, honest, and incredibly gentle with both Xena and us throughout the entire process. Kaitlyn was also wonderful and showed us so much kindness and compassion during an incredibly difficult time. What stood out most was how consistent the care was every time we came in. The entire ACCESS team was professional, responsive, and respectful, and we always felt that Xena was being treated as an individual rather than just another patient. Even during stressful emergency visits, communication was clear and we felt like the team genuinely cared about her comfort and quality of life. During Xena's final two days, we never felt rushed or pressured. Everything was explained clearly, our questions were answered honestly, and we were given the space we needed to make an incredibly difficult decision. When it was time to say goodbye, the team made sure Xena's final moments were peaceful, gentle, and dignified. My dog was referred here for an urgent ultrasound on May 7th. Since my dog is unwell due to an enlarged prostate + infection and uti, I opted for him to get admitted on fluids, antibiotics and pain meds. Overnight we were getting updates and per techs my dog is doing fine. The next morning, Dr. Zhang mentioned concern regarding my dog being in a lot of pain, no appetite and told us he needs an ultrasound and an ultrasound with needle aspiration to figure out what is going on. I ONLY CONSENTED FOR ULTRASOUND and for some reason Dr. Zhang decides to do the ultrasound with fine needle aspiration anyway. Based on this unauthorized test, she gave my dog a horrific, terminal diagnosis of septic bacterial effusion or an infected fluid leak in the abdomen. She claimed it could not be medically managed. She gave me two choices: $20,000 for emergency surgery with a 50/50 survival rate, or euthanize him immediately because he would deteriorate within 24 hours. Refusing to give up, I took him to Mission Veterinary the next day for a second opinion. Their vet found ZERO fluid in his abdomen. It was a treatable prostate infection--not a terminal septic abdomen. He was treated conservatively with fluids and antibiotics. No surgery was performed. Today, my dog is alive, healthy, and fully recovered. If Dr. Zhang's diagnosis had been accurate, my dog would have died without immediate surgery. A true septic abdomen cannot be medically managed, and septic fluid cannot simply be "absorbed by the body." So WHERE DID THE FLUID COME FROM? Was it really done, is it from somebody else's pet or a false result??? Yet, when I demanded accountability, the medical director brushed me off with medical nonsense, claiming the fluid was reabsorbed and that my dog "got lucky." (Also note that I got the 2nd opinion less than 24hrs of grave misdiagnosis) ACCESS constantly posts public boilerplate responses on reviews telling people to contact them because they "take concerns seriously." It is a complete lie. When I actually raised my concerns, it took them weeks to respond, and they ultimately just ignored me in the end. They have completely ghosted my formal requests for a resolution. They care about money and optics, not animals. STAY FAR AWAY. They prey on your vulnerability and love for your pet! This hospital almost killed my dog and I thank God every day that I did not listen to them!!!

He was a rescue as a puppy and had some sort of issue his entire 14 year life but I was lucky to have the means (and pet insurance) to treat any and all issues. That being said, paws and claws has been through with Renly: intestinal blockage surgeries, cancerous lump removal, epilepsy treatment, liver treatment,Osteoarthritis treatments. And because of them my husky lived 14 happy, pain free, years with amazing quality of life until literally his last day. We've been through several vets in the many years of patronage but Dr.D has been our vet for the last couple years and without a doubt her treatments are why my dog lived to 14 pain free and happy. Yes they are expensive, Woodland Hills, but pets are expensive. I highly recommend pet insurance for all pets as that is the reason I was always able to treat my dog. Last: the staff. Everyone at the front desk and the techs are amazing but I have to specifically point out Xavier, who has gone above and beyond for us more than once, and was the one to help renly pass, as they had their own special bond. and Bailey who has been there for us for many years as well. Now I have brought home a 10 month old east valley rescue who had kennel cough and several other shelter related issues and Dr. D has treated him appropriately and he is recovering quickly. I always say to people I give her card to: "you will discover she is an Earth Angel - if she moved to a different town, I'd take my pup there... When you find a great vet, they are Gold! She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years here at Paws & Claws; she has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I found her many years ago when I was dissatisfied with a busy veterinary front desk in Sherman Oaks, after they had made errors in my first dog's chart. Unfortunately he passed, and I learned that finding the RIGHT professional truly makes ALL the difference. So yes, I still drive from Sherman Oaks. Gratefully so :) I am thankful that my cherished pups are her patients. Her ethics, her care, her kindness, her knowledge, her integrity - she's our number 1!!!

This is a lie, it has been 2 years since my exam and I contact them a number of times to which they were never available. I request my exam fee back since the exam is so they can come see you if you need them quickly... They never had availability or responded in a timely manner. Based on these reviews, they do not fix their mistakes, they gaslight you and then threaten legal on you. I am going to the news and know there are others out there bases on their reviews. Once I saw our senior 13-yr old pup was telling me it was okay, I called Dr. Gonzalez at 7pm. She was at our home by 10pm. Our pup had been sick for several years, and in that last week, our primary vet had already told us his health was declining, so we at least knew the end was near. And I had already mentally prepared to be strong and let him go when he needed to -- so I had Dr. Gonzalez's number on hand. We live in an apartment building, so we reserved a spot for her in our lot as close as possible to an exit. She came upstairs to our home, and she had brought all her equipment. I had already imagined how I wanted this experience to go for my once in a lifetime soul pup. I sat on his favorite place on the sofa, and I had him in my lap. Dr. Gonzalez gave me a pee pad to wrap around him within the blanket understanding there could be an accident in the process as his body released his spirit. I had a candle lit. I had soft music playing. We had low lighting on to honor what was about to happen. Dr. Gonzalez was also super accommodating to our 2nd puppy who was curious about her and wondering what was happening to his big brother. She didn't shoo him away -- she invited us to keep the puppy around so he can know his big brother was about to pass on. She gave us time to speak to Nuxx, love on him, and then let him go. Then, it finally happened. And Dr. Gonzalez stepped out of our apartment for awhile, giving our little family time to grieve, sob, and hold our baby close. Our puppy sniffed him too and said his goodbyes. Then she came back, and she asked us if we wanted to be the ones to carry him out or she was happy to do so. My husband carried him, myself and our puppy followed along -- felt like a procession down our apartment hallway. We got to Dr. Gonzalez's car, and we gently placed our baby's body in her car, and said our goodbyes again. Then...it was done. Throughout the experience, Dr. Gonzalez was so incredibly supportive, gentle, understanding, and patient. What else can you ask for when such a heartbreaking thing is occurring? When a spirit is literally fading in your arms? I am still not over losing him, but at least I know we gave him the most peaceful send-off we could: in his own home, in our arms, surrounded by so much love. If / when we need to go through again, I will continue to call on Dr. Gonzalez. RIP Nuxx.

On top of that, my dog received a shot that she apparently didn't even need due to the incorrect diagnosis. I also had to argue with them in front of other clients, which was really embarrassing and uncomfortable for me. The first visit was for my dog Chanel because I needed prescription dog food. I already had a prescription from my veterinarian, but they still required another visit/exam so they could issue their own prescription. I waited a very long time and was not impressed with the process or the doctor. In my opinion, this clinic is overpriced and disorganized. The second visit was for travel documents for my three dogs. I was left waiting for approximately three to three and a half hours with three anxious dogs while Stephanie kept coming back and forth collecting information but could not answer any travel-document questions. I later learned Alexandra was the person preparing the travel paperwork, yet she never sat down with me to explain the forms, requirements, options, or charges before my card was charged. I only learned she was handling the documents at the very end of the visit when I was leaving through the back door with my dogs after waiting for hours. Dr. Angela Wee signed the California Certificate of Veterinary Inspection, but when I asked travel-document questions during the appointment, I was told she was only there for the exam portion and could not answer the documentation questions. I was charged $917.97. Only after payment did I receive the invoice breakdown. The process was disorganized, rushed, disconnected, and extremely poorly communicated. When I later questioned the documents and requirements, Alexandra admitted she did not verify United Airlines requirements before preparing the paperwork. The clinic then changed positions multiple times, offered to prepare APHIS Form 7001, withdrew that offer, and later only offered a partial refund. Management, including Yusmeri, was also extremely difficult to deal with during my attempts to resolve the issue before my flight. I was disconnected or hung up on while trying to resolve an urgent travel issue involving three dogs. The overall environment felt chaotic, rushed, disorganized, and poorly managed. Communication between staff appeared disconnected, and the entire process felt extremely unprofessional. I ultimately went to Warner Center Pet Clinic, which I highly recommend. I paid $450 total for all three dogs, was there for less than one hour, and they provided the travel documents I actually needed for my trip. Based on my two experiences there, I cannot recommend this clinic. I cannot speak for every doctor there, but from what I personally experienced, the office was disorganized, poorly communicated, overpriced, and unprofessional.

But once she needed consistent medical care, everything changed. Their attitude, accuracy, and professionalism declined sharply. Here is what I experienced: * Repeated prescription errors for months -- My dog needs a precise dose of medication to breathe comfortably. For 4-5 months straight, the written prescription was wrong. One month it was incorrect twice in the same day. They consistently prescribed too little medication, which is dangerous for her condition. * Dismissive and irritated staff -- Any time I called to follow up because their suggestions weren't working, they acted annoyed and impatient, even though I was calm and polite. I wasn't calling excessively -- just when my dog was struggling. * Blaming me instead of fixing mistakes -- When I finally expressed concern, they blamed me for requesting pill form instead of liquid, even though I had repeatedly explained that the liquid caused my dog severe pain. They showed no interest in helping me find a safe way to medicate her. * Failure to diagnose her condition -- For months they told me she was "fine," despite clear symptoms. She was later diagnosed with a collapsing trachea, something they overlooked again and again. * Lack of compassion or urgency -- My dog was having trouble breathing and swallowing medication, and they brushed me off. Their attitude was cold, rude, and completely lacking empathy. Their repeated mistakes and refusal to listen could have seriously harmed my dog. The only reason she's okay is because I paid close attention and pushed for answers. They never returned my calls. In my experience, WCPC was careless, dismissive, and unprofessional. The first time we went we saw Dr. Kohltfarber. He was very kind and explained what was going on in clear language, and answered all of our questions about how to care for our dog after leaving. The most recent time we went we saw Dr. Ferdowsian. She had to share some scary news with us but was so professional and down to earth that, even though I did feel a bit panicked, I was able to ask all of the questions I needed to and I left feeling hopeful about our dog's plan of care. She also contacted us after our visit to check in and was very compassionate and attentive with all of our concerns. Because of her quick findings at our most recent visit, we were able to get our dog scheduled for surgery at a specialty center that same week to have the issue resolved. Now our dog's quality of life is back to normal, and we couldn't be happier. They are also very clear about costs, including explaining all of our options for diagnostics and treatment. We felt their costs were fair too. We never felt confused or lost, even when we brought our dog in for a more complex problem. If your pet has an emergency I would absolutely recommend them.

The staff at Oaks Veterinary were very kind to us and sat us in a semiprivate room up front while Dr. Jimenez did some tests on our kitten (he's 12, but he'll always be our kitten). The diagnosis was Feline Idiopathic Cystitis and we were sent home with a variety of medicines, some cans of prescription urinary care food, and orders to follow up with our primary vet in about a week for more tests. Everything was pretty pricey at $1700, so I appreciated that they gave us the cans of food for free (which our primary vet didn't do when we eventually followed up). They also sent the records over to our primary vet, which I appreciated. I had to follow up with the office staff about getting copies of the records for myself and, when I reached out with concern about how long it should be taking Atticus to recover, it took about 5 days to get back to me. Those are the only reasons it's not 5 stars. Lots of parking and food places nearby if you need to wait.

It was the personal touch of each message on the card that stood out, and that was so kind and very helpful to us in our grief. This is an office that from the top down and bottom up is more interested in making sure your pet gets what they need, than they are about squeezing as much as they can out of you. I can't recommend this place more, you won't be sorry and your pets will be better off for it.
