NOT TRUSTWORTHY! Needed to replace auxiliary battery, which is located in the side wall of my trunk. After reviewing install video I observed that to that work you removed most of the paneling in the trunk -- which also totally exposed the main battery. Even though it was fine. I though I might go ahead and replace it if there was no additional install cost. I was clearly told that they WOULD NOT CHARGE ME TWICE IF NO ADDITIONAL WORK WAS NEEDED FOR THE MAIN BATTERY. When I brought the auto I repeated my understanding and said if that was not the case then I did not want the main battery replaced. I would then wait until it was actually defective. GUUESS WHAT! THEY CHARGED ME $246 FOR LABOR - TWICE. My complaining did nothing and the could not really defend their position. Needless to say, I will never go there again. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Bavarian auto has earned every one of these five stars! They had my Mercedes in for repair for multiple things. An hour after Picking up my car, the check engine Light went on. I brought the vehicle back and they realized that a newly replaced part was faulty and needed to be replaced. It had to be special ordered and I'd have to come back in a couple of days to pick up my car. I live one hour away from the repair shop by the way. A couple of hours after leaving my car, I received a message from Bavarian stating that they purchased the part at the local Mercedes-Benz dealership and that A technician would be driving the vehicle to my home later that evening. I was quoted 2 hours of 'book time' at $189/hr to install wheel spacers on my Porsche. I believe Bavarian inflated the labor on my quote. First, they wouldn't show me the source for their book times, nor were the hours broken down on the invoice. That raises concerns about transparency. Second, that's too may hours for that job. The service advisor told me "the overwhelming majority of the labor involved with installing wheel spacers is not the act of removing and installing the wheels." But, most mechanics would say that's the ONLY thing involved. Third, I also wanted my spark plugs replaced. Step 1 of the spark plug procedure is ...remove the rear wheels. When shops quote 'book-time,' the industry standard practice is to discount overlapping procedures. This is so customer's aren't charged for tasks like removing and installing a wheel twice, when it was only done once. When I owned a BMW I had great experiences with this shop at the San Antonio location, based on this interaction I can't recommend them anymore. read more
