I gave them a call to inquire if I needed an appointment and was told I didn't and to bring it in by a certain time and was given their closing time to ensure I was there in time to have the work done. I was able to take my car in that afternoon and it was taken in right away. They showed me what my brakes currently looked like and made a recommendation for service. Once I agreed they called to get parts and began working on my vehicle. The staff was friendly and efficient. The price was fair for the work I needed done. I would say it was comparable to other places. The difference here was the friendliness of the staff, the offer to show me why I needed the work done that they said I needed, and the time it took them to get me in and out. I was looking for a place to take my car as we are new to the area. The sensor in my car was saying service was needed but I didn't know what service. I also knew I needed an oil change. I was worried because they could have told me anything and charged me without me knowing any better. But, they didn't!! They were honest and a pleasure to deal with! I was yesterday greeted by a friendly guy at Sparks who is the assistant manager. Mr. Felix gently explained to me my $900 repair so I won't have a heart attack. It was to replace my radiator and thermostat housing which meant coolant as well as radiator cap replacement. I had to rent a car for a day but it is another 5-star to give Budget in another review. The total payment was already including tax and the required environmental fee. I have nothing but praise for this shop. I am sure that they are indeed a Godsend. I have been using Sparks Car Care for a few years now, and always get good honest service. So when my Chevy Impala was acting up by idling too hard or too fast, I took again to Sparks. And just like always; when you get there the car starts working better. However, they gave my Impala a full computer diagnostics and test drive for a small price. They stated that the car is working fine and advised me that if it continues to act up let it act up more frequent take it to them later. They also stated to me that since no problems could be detected. That I may want to take it to dealership, because they may have ran into similar problems like this before. I appreciated their honesty, and not lying to me by saying that it needed a $100 tune up or some other type of maintenance work. Previously they have checked out one my other cars. And, told me how to repair it myself; saving me $$$ on labor cost. But, if you don't know some basic auto mechanics I would not advise that. First off, I would like to thank John whom handled the diagnosis and service on my 2007 Ford Focus SE. I told him what I was experiencing and he recommended a new thermostat right off the bat. He was right, it was malfunctioning and needed replacement. It was not cheap but he did top notch on getting me in and out on my schedule. Went in because i thought i needed a tune up but Joe told me all i needed was for my muffler to be hangered. As a young women i'm nervous anytime i have to step into a car shop but i could tell Joe was a really honest man and even felt like he was looking out for me when he advised me on how much that repair would cost if i got it, where to go and that if anyone tried selling me a new muffler they were trying to play me. 10/10 service! this man knows how to make you feel comfortable and confident about choosing his shop. read more

After getting ridiculous quote from Honda I ventured out and looked up various auto shops to get second opinions. Joe was very quick to reply to my quote request online! His prices were awesome. Even after receiving quotes for 3 other auto shops, his prices still beat them! He was able to get my car in the next day for repairs! Joe was so amazing and honest. He even brought me out to show me where the leak was coming from. Which I was happy with because I like to see the proof. Funny story because it was not the leak from the gasket that Honda assumed it was, it was elsewhere. Which leads me to believe they don't thoroughly check their cars. My car still has a couple issues to address however the parts needed would take a day or two to come in. Honda claims my transmission needs to be replaced entirely. My dilema was I had plans to go on vacation the next day. Joe was nice enough to let me leave my car there until I came back from vacation so he could fix the last issue once the parts came in and also so his guys could take a good thorough look at my transmission to see if they can salvage it. I'll be going back Monday to get my car so I will update my review. I could've waited to post my review til Monday after I pick my car up but this place was so good thus far I couldn't wait to review it. Pick this place! read more

I brought my vehicle in there for a brake job and to get an overall diagnostic check done to bring it up to speed with the vehicle's recommended service intervals. They were able to break things down in layman's terms to a non car enthusiast as to what exactly I needed done to my vehicle and why. The pricing was on par with what automd.com suggested as being what I would be paying for the services rendered in this area. I would suggest this business to someone else. read more

This is actually a no star review. I took my car in to check an engine light that was on, on my dash. A guy named Tony said to give him the keys to check it out-not mentioning an estimate or any costs at this time. He put a scanner on it to check the codes, after waiting one hour, he came back to the office nervous, asking "how do you open the trunk?" I answered, "with the key", then he asked, "can you show me?" So when I got to the back, the trunk would not pop open, ONLY then notified me, that my new battery was dead(!) and he had to put a charge on it. After 30 minutes he comes to the office and tell me, "how much did I tell you I was going to charge you?" I answered, "you never told me, you just asked for the keys" then he said it was $97 and I reluctantly paid and left. I don't know what he did besides draining a brand new battery and not being able to diagnose the check engine light. Tony is not qualified and this not a real care care center. NOTE: Beware the other (possible) "fake" 5 star reviews for this garage. Adding to that, while I was waiting there, I saw Tony overcharge a elderly black woman $60 to repair a tire sensor that was lit on her dash. Tony was also unable to turn off the sensor light on her dash--but CONVINCED the woman it was ok to ride around with it on! If I didn't know any better, I was say this is fraud... Took my car in with electrical issues with my dash lights and passenger side tail light. After about 3 or 4 hours I received a call from them at about 3:45 saying that the fuse kept blowing and they replaced it 3 times, and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. He recommended that I leave it longer with them, so they could figure it out (labor cost)They were closed on Sunday, and I needed my car back for an out of town trip. Plus, I live in Austin. I told him to put it back together and I will pick it up before they close. Charge was $120 for the labor. I was driving away and I noticed that my blinker was now out. They forgot to reconnect my blinker. The next day a friend and myself took a look. Turns out that in the fuse box under the hood had the wrong fuse for the taillights. That was the reason it was blowing the fuses under my dash. I'm not sure if they put in the wrong fuse intentionally, so I wouldn't think to check it, or they just didn't know there was a fuse box under my hood. Either way they should be able to handle something as simple as fuses. read more

I have been taking all of my vehicles to this place for the last 10 years, and I have found the staff to be honest and very professional in every repair action.
