I had a great experience taking my car for maintenance her this past week. You'll see a big electronic sign for this business where you'll turn in from the 281 Frontage road, you can't miss it. This place was packed with cars showing how many people trust this auto care facility with their car. However, because it is packed, it might be hard to find a place to park. Luckily there was room in the drop-off line. They do not have a big waiting area so I suggest having a ride home or asking if their driver service is available so you can be dropped off at home once you check in your car. Starting with my initial call to the business and through the end when it was time to pick my car back up, I was treated with respect and kindness. I found the prices fair and the advice on what was needed honest. There is a much different feel here! These guys don't try and make money on you. Yes they all like business but they are honest and don't get commissioned on fixing your ride. It's better then Audi where they "see what they can do for you" And bounce numbers back and forth. Big shoutout to Premier1 Auto Care and Ricky, the Porsche service writer, and Carmax's extended warranty! I've been doing my own car work for 52 years, including 41 years on Porsches, but when I bought our 2016 Macan S 4 years ago from Carmax, I got their extended warranty (MaxCare) because it's so computerized and complicated. On Porsche Club member's recommendations, I took it to to Premier1 and now have taken it twice for issues covered under my Carmax extended warranty and they've taken great care of me and the Macan. Premier1 took care of the coordination with Carmax's extended warranty provider and made the whole process easy, and since Premier1 is in network with Repair Pal, we only had to pay our $250 deductible per visit. read more

The biggest con job I have ever experienced. Took in my 2013 Dodge charger pursuit for a serpentine belt and an Oil change. They tried to quote me $2300 for my suspension which had just been replaced in the past. I declined. A day after the routine maintenance, my car got a severe coolant leak and needed to go back. After claiming they fixed that problem, they let me go pick up the car while they were closed and it didn't even last 10 minutes without the exact same problem. They are now about to quote me for a water pump. Easily over $1000 down the drain over routine maintenance. Never returning here. read more

incredible waste of time and money. ask these dudes about EasyPay!! it's incredible. first they overcharge you for a new battery and take two hours to install it. then they refuse to take a check and the credit card terminal doesn't work. then they tell you about Easypay!! you can make payments twice a month that end up costing triple what you had to pay in the first place. Class action lawsuits in multiple states? Attorney General? BBB? Consumer finance protection bureau? Avoid these crooks at all costs. read more

Den of thieves with terrible response time, misdiagnosed simple electrical issue and cost me thousands of dollars. Battery died in my car after only 12 months, so I had it towed to the shop for an electrical check. Got their report back, recommended a battery terminal clean to address corrosion and additional routine maintenance (brakes, fluids, etc). Since there were no major problems with the electrical I figured I could squeeze another year or two out of my vehicle and opted in for for most of the recs, then got a new set of tires over at Discount Tire. Immediately after bringing the car home I noticed a significant leak under the engine. I figured this was caused during the previous serivce and brought it back for the engine leak. They didn't address it at all or even put it on the diagnosis report - they instead changed out a gasket on the rear differential for some reason and gave me the car back while it still had a substantial oil leak. Brought it back for a third time for the same leak and discovered that the PTU case was leaking heavily. The reason given was that the previous old PTU fluid was thick so that it wasn't leaking prior to the fluid service, and now with the fresh, thinner fluid it began leaking heavily. Ok, I guess. Approved them to put a seal on, but they then discovered the PTU itself needed to be replaced. Had that done, figuring I was already sunk super deep by now. Less than a week after I get it home, the car battery dies entirely again. The reason why it died is the cherry on top: The alternator was dead, which they never correctly diagnosed when I originally took the car in the first time and would have kept me from putting any money in at all. Overall the employees were polite but reps are very difficult to get ahold of. I called on several occasions between the hours of 11 AM and 1 PM and my rep was always at lunch, and I'd get a call back between 4 and 5 PM. I'm never going to this place again, going to post this review everywhere I can, and will actively discourage anyone from going here if we get to talking about car maintenance. read more

I have been using Premier1 Auto Care for some time with excellent service. On 2/18/2025 I was having a problem with my 2019 Cadillac. My Service Advisor Julian Lopez sent me home with Uber at their cost while diagnosing and repairing the problem. When it was fixed, they returned me via Uber to pick it up. NOW THAT IS SERVICE. there was no cost as the problem occurred with the battery which they had recently installed so it was covered under warranty. They stand behind their work. read more

We've have been looking for a good (honest) auto mechanic since moving to San Antonio 14 years ago. Premier1 is the best that we've found by far! They take photos (and videos) of everything they inspect. Then, the customer receives a full report with photo attachments. They are extremely thorough! You might get recommendations that you weren't expecting so they categorize the items into three groups: 1. Requires Urgent Attention 2. Requires Future Attention 3. Good Items Everything was explained in full detail and there were no surprises. It was a little pricier than places we've been in the past but well worth it with the level of professionalism and expertise. Our son's car was being inspected so we fixed the most important items and he will move forward next week with the next items as he gets paid. :o) read more

I will continue to patronize this establishment. The defecation has hit the oscillator....!!!! 22 Oct 24, I had a 10AM Appointment for an oil change. I showed up about 9:45am, I was advised that I was next in the que. At 11:05 I stretched my legs to see if my car was ready. There it was, my car parked right out front of the entry doors. I inquired about paying only to find out they have not touched the car for an oil change. The service advisor realized it and said the service tech who was assigned to my car had an issue with the car he was working on. I guess it was me that had a problem. They assigned another service tech. At 1145 my car was ready, I requested the receipt be sent to my email. Another Failure...!!!! Infinitive could have changed the oil and washed the car in less time. What an epic failure. I called, by accident, the other Premier1 location. I called same day for an appointment for an oil change, they were able to get me in! As soon as I got there I was attended to, my car was taken back by a technician. And I was shown to the waiting area where there are waters, snacks, and a massage chair( cool touch) As a woman going in alone, I always feel worried they are going to try to upswell me but I was given a full breakdown of everything on my car (with pictures) which most was good and some small details that they said could be addressed at my next oil change! Scam artists. Called to get quote on timing chain replaced. 4-6 hours was quoted with me bring my parts and of course no getting warranty. On day it was towed there they said we have to buy parts thru them then said it would take a ridiculous 14 hours. This might be their practice to get ppl to tow cars there then force them to get to get a price hiked service. Update. They then told my girl that the whole motor needs to be replaced lol( and talked her into paying for an over priced $160 diagnostic). I actually had the valve cover removed and checked it before sending so they definitely take advantage of women here. Wish I would've took off work and went myself. Love doing business with a local shop. I worked with Samuel from beginning to end. It was nice not having to explain everything to someone new every time I called. I felt like I could really trust this shop, which is really important. My repair pretty serious (car wouldn't run without it) and Samuel really worked with me. They also got my vehicle back to me 4 days sooner than expected. Huge win. As far as price, again, they worked with me. Had they not, it would have been really expensive. Originally was going to go to the Midas next door but they were pretty crowded so we looked up a place for an alignment and sure enough this place was right next door. All I can say is they have Very good customer service! The employees are extremely engaged and friendly. They want to make sure you're taken care of. They've got a coffee bar with nice branded coffee cups you can take home if you'd like. They have pastries set out as well. Their kids play area was very nice and kept our little one entertained. They have big glass windows you can look out and watch your vehicle being serviced. I like this because it shows me they don't have anything to hide. At the end they informed my husband of what concerns they had with the vehicle and wanted to make sure he was leaving happy which we were. I'm rating a review for the second time, I was scheduled for surgery and had to take my same vehicle , the 2002 Chevy Malibu, for a coolant leak that required half a jug daily to refill. I drive a hour commute one way to goto work so I need to make sure my car wasn't going to overheat and leave me stranded somewhere. It took about 2-3 days to diagnose and put the new parts in. This place seems to always have new faces compared to the other shop I was dedicated to in my other city, which as a customer its nice having consistency when it comes to your vehicle. However, their new guy Justin was really professional and knowledgeable. Went above and beyond which was appreciated since my first few visits with my wife were not terrible but also not great. So, I will be coming back. Highly recommend asking for Justin if you are looking to use their services. Its a nice shop, really clean, and hope they can just stay consistent. Although shop is very clean. 1) Never got a callback with diagnoses after 24hrs with vehicle. 2) Paid for engine test service ($150+) and was given a hand drawn report with another vehicles info. 3)Went back for proper report and to point out report details belonged to other vehicle (make and zin of other vehicle on report) was told very busy and told tech used scrap paper. Not acceptable for expensive test. They apologized but I'm paying customer too and expect a level of service that's worth going back. For me, attention to detail is in question. What other services did I pay for and they shortcut? This was my very first experience with this shop base on others feedback\reviews. So, I decided to give Premier1 a try after reading the reviews online and Glad I did! I drove up and parked under the service awning and was promptly meet with a service tech. As soon as I exited my vehicle, I was greeted with a smile and welcomed to Premier1. I explained what I needed (oil change and tire sensor check) and was told upfront that it could be completed and was advised that a diagnostic would also be completed...for Free! Can't beat Free! A little back log on the sensor, long story short, I'd been telling the dealership of the sensor and nothing had been done. My vehicle was taken to their service dock, which you can clearly be seen from the waiting area and the work was completed in no time. Tire sensor was now in working order, no issue. Wonder why the dealership couldn't get it done! Before I left, I was provided with documentation on the work completed and walked out to my vehicle, with a thank you handshake. The waiting area was Clean, Cool, and Accommodating to everyone. It has a kid activity area, very comfortable deep seated chairs, massage chairs, free WiFi, complementary water, juice, coffee and pastries. The Staff was Friendly, Very Knowledgeable and Approachable. Same feel as a dealership, without the overwhelming prices and overcrowded waiting area! I've been going to other local shops for work, ranging from a simple oil change to having a new engine put in, but this beats other shops.
