A friendly little (I'm not kidding) chocolate store that sells various handmade treats including molded items, truffles, clusters, and assorted wrapped items. Also, they have other types of candy too. The staff are friendly and you can see them making things through their viewing window, though it is hit or miss as to what you will observe. I watched them putting chocolates into paper wrappers. A fun store and a nice place to spend a couple of minutes. read more

Chocolate made on premises except for the German chocolate they import. They had the little ladybug chocolates we used to get when we went to Germany. They may be pricy but you can mix and match chocolates, They are priced per pound. My husband loved everything I bought. They have milk and dark cholates products. The fudges is priced separately. I mixed about 5 different pieces and it wasn't a problem. The staff are helpful. It is located in the front of what looks like a house, and the inside is small. read more

We love chocolate and were excited to check out this store on a recent visit to the area. They are following Covid-19 protocol and we had to wait outside until a large group that was in the store left. We were very surprised what a small selection of chocolate they actually had. I guess we're used to much larger selections at dedicated candy stores. They also sell fudge and there was a very small selection of that too. Normally we have a hard time deciding what to get in these stores. We found a couple things to try out. Our selections were very good and we were happy. We would have definitely bought a lot more if they had it, I'm not sure why there wasn't much candy in the cases and no explanation was given. read more

I've lived in the area for over 35 years and I had never been into this shop . Today it was not busy no one was there but there was a few workers including an older woman who could not be bothered to greet me when I came in or ask if I needed any help . I did not buy anything as the bad vibe threw me off but I did notice lots of resale candy they put their brand stickers on . Weird . Add not see any fudge . Building looks like a run down house and everything for sale is in the entry way . I will not be back as I seemed to bother the older woman when l asked about nuts in something as we deal with a nut allergy . What a cute place! I do love dark chocolate and couldn't resist stopping here on the drive through the area. They have windows looking in on the chocolate kitchen and we could see the drum turning, mixing up chocolate! We got a one pound mix and are currently working our way thru it. Have not been disappointed by any of our selections! My personal favorite is the nonpareil, reminiscent of snocaps but better. Def pay them a visit! read more

I almost feel mean writing this because I never want to tear down a local business. It's a cute little business and they have a beautiful display. Service is professional. Friendly? Yes and no. Did you ever meet someone who does and says the right things but it still somehow does not seem genuine or heart-felt? That's how I felt with the gentleman who helped me today. He did the 'right' things yet he genuinely does not care about you as a customer. No small talk. No genuine smile. Just formalities. There was more to it than what I'm saying here but let's just say, he's not the nicest gentleman in the world. Okay so forget about him and let's talk chocolate. I got the chocolate covered cherries today. They are indeed homemade because you can taste that real hand dipped chocolate. The Problem with their chocolate? It's super bland sadly. I HIGHLY recommend they add some salt to their milk chocolate recipe. It's sweet as chocolate should be but it needs salt to enhance the sweetness (chefs will know what I mean). As someone who highly prefers to eat the real deal chocolate like Belgian/Swiss (even Cadbury is way better than Hershey's!), it kills me inside to eat this AlmostButDefinitelyNot There chocolate. So much potential! Dearest Owner, please heed my advice and add a pinch of salt to your recipe. You'll see what a HUGE difference it'll have. read more

Not incredibly impressed. The truffles were pretty disappointing. For $2.50 a pop I would expect something much better. The ones you buy from a gas station for valentines day are better. Chocolate covered pretzel wasn't any better than what you could easily make at home which was disppointing. Excellent little gourmet chocolate shop in the center of downtown North Conway. Been here for many many years and always has an incredible selection of things that you could not find in many stores. Lots of dark and milk chocolate selections in incredible variety of choices. They also have Maple candies that are from local sources and they are excellent! Make sure to try the chocolate covered pretzels and the Maple covered pretzels! They have nice little boxes that you can fill to bring home for gifts to friends and family. What a cute Bavarian haus. The parking lot is small. When you walk into this cute little house, you will realize that its tiny inside, but they actually make a lot of the chocolate there, which is very cool. There was a very friendly lady inside who told me more about what they sold and helped me pick out some delicious goods. I bought a pecan turtle, which was soooooo amazing. I also bought the milk chocolate covered almond. All these pieces are sold by weight. You can even by one piece if you want, there is no minimum weight requirement. Tiny little place, parking lot that fits about 6 cars, if there's more than 4-5 people inside at once there's no room to walk around. This past Monday was our first time here and when all was said and done, we walked out with 8 pieces of fudge, 5 truffles and a maple chocolate covered marshmallow for $30. The banana chocolate truffles were delicious, the raspberry truffle had a weird alcohol taste and the lemon truffle (which had a sign stating that it was made with alcohol) was by far my favorite. The fudge is just ok, kinda hard on the outside like it's old, but the inside is chewy like it should be. The Peanut butter fudge doesn't have much of a peanut butter taste which was disappointing and the chocolate fudge was decent but not great. The best part of all the goodies was the maple chocolate covered marshmallow, although I wish they had used a marshmallow cream as filling and not an actual marshmallow. I'm glad we got to experience this little shop, but we will definitely not go out of our way to go here again. read more

Extremely rude and unprofessional service. Open sign was outside and online hours stated they closed at 6 pm and yet when we walked inside the older woman with gray hair pulled back in a ponytail raised her voice and told us they were closed at 530. I looked at my watch and she told me we had 2 minutes. Then immediately after that comment she yelled at us to not stand there because too many people were in the shop. Apparently there is a 4 person max yet they had 6 guests in the store so they already weren't following their own "rules". Got an assortment of treats, so far we have LOVED the hazelnut and chili-lime truffles as well as the dark chocolate covered pretzels. I have been dying to head into this chocolate shop for years, it seems everytime I drive by it they had just closed, or weren't open yet. Finally the other day (3/2) my fiancee and I made a u-turn realizing they were open, and stepped inside. The smell was incredible, and the chocolate did not disappoint. We got chocolate covered oreos (my personal favorite) of which they had more variety than I have ever seen in a chocolate shop. The candy itself? 10/10. The issue? The staff, the woman and the gentleman working looked absolutely miserable, the man staring blankly at me as if asking, "who was I to be in the shop?" The two asked if when we knew what we wanted to just let them know while they attended to some busy work. When we were ready we asked for assistance to which the gentleman sarcastically and emphatically threw his glove down, he seemed so bothered to help us. We finished the transaction and I felt absolutely drained of life. Our upbeat vacation day was paused for the 10 minutes we were in the store. For all the years I could never time it right to stop in this store, and how excited I was, this was a major letdown. I won't be returning, no matter how good the chocolate is. read more
