We brought our car here after I was in an accident. I was T-boned by another vehicle and I needed to have several things fixed. My alignment was off, I was unable to open my passenger side door, etc. I left my car there after my insurance company recommending them to do my repairs. Let me just say that it was not 100% their fault. My lien holder decided to take the amount that it would take to fix my car and apply it to my car payment. However, I knew that if we had done repairs through them it would have been a major headache. I'm probably 98% sure that they inflated the cost to repair our vehicle. So my lien holder probably saw right through that. Also, we were never even offered a rental vehicle through them, we ended up having to use Enterprise, and they were amazing. Baxter Auto Body could probably learn a thing or two from them. A MONTH LATER, we finally went to get our vehicle back. The windshield wiper was off of the vehicle, they left chalk writing permanently stained on our door handles, our gas was lower than when we brought it in and they told us that it would cost us about $100 to fix these things... seriously? How shady can you be? I will NEVER bring my car here again for repairs. Take your car anywhere else. read more

Steve, who is a salesmen/specialist, that was assigned to my repair case was extremely rude! He obviously has an issue with black women. I called to check on the status of my vehicle being repaired and he acted as if I was inconveniencing or bothering him. Needless to say, I only called once. Upon coming to pick up my vehicle, my card declined due to my daily limit being exceeded. I tried communicating my options being that my drive to get there was extremely long, the receptionist was very patient and understanding but Steve kept interjecting and yelling from his back office instead of coming to address his customer. Once he finally stepped out of his office - he began trying to belittle me and go back and forth over an issue that was out of my control. What's even worse is that my child was with me witnessing everything. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone! I am a customer who had $5k worth of damage. They did a great job with my repair. They were very easy to communicate with and made sure I knew what was going on every step of the way

I will never return here if at all possible. All I needed was a passenger mirror replacement. It took them 4 weeks from the time of the quote and me calling in several times for them to finally find a loaner car they could spare for one day (literally 730-530). Then the loaner they did give me was an old van with the check engine light on, smelled bad, made weird noises when driving, and the AC shot out heat. They also marked the gas tank as full when it wasn't so I ended up buying them gas I never used. I worked with James who was condescending and unfriendly. The actual mirror repair was okay but they caused issues with my keyless entry and I had to return to a different repair shop to get that fixed. Don't be fooled by the website that promises detailing after a repair. My car was dirtier on return than it was when I dropped it off without so much as a window washed. Save yourself the time, frustration, and anger and go somewhere else. read more

I am from Denver and was involved in a fender bender on Thursday night. I was nervous about driving my car for the rest of the weekend in Omaha, as well as on the 450 mile return trip to Denver. I called Friday morning and was given an appointment at 10:00 am. I was met by Steve Sommerhalder. He went over my Subaru with a fine-tooth comb, making sure there was no structural damage that would make it dangerous to drive until I could get home to Colorado. He clearly explained everything he was doing. He gave me peace of mind in a stressful situation. Shortly after sending my new ford truck to Baxter Ford Auto Body shop for some repairs i realized I made a big mistake their management team was rude and un-proffesional. My repairs were to take about a week 5 weeks later i recieved my truck with a crocked bumper. I then returned to have it straightened they did this then broke some clips on the bumper denied it. I brought it back before the part fell off the manager Steve then slammed it back on I told him this would not last he said a few choice words and stormed off proplem not solved still today would never reccomend this shop. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had in terms of auto repair. My car sustained over ten thousand dollars in damage in an accident. Baxter was recommended by Lexus of Omaha so I figured I would be in good hands. Ha. I am typically a very patient person, but these guys pushed me over the edge. I had to go back three times after they had my car for almost a month due to broken parts that had nothing to do with the original damage!!! The first time I drove off their lot, the driver's side sun visor fell into my lap. The panel with the screw that holds it in place was all twisted and damaged. I wound up fixing it myself. Then my key fob literally fell apart in my hands. It had been cracked for some unknown reason. They replaced it with a used one they had on hand. Then I went to get gas because the tank was almost on empty when I picked the vehicle up. When I got to the gas station, the gas tank cover would not open. I had to call someone to come get me because I didn't have enough gas to drive back to Baxter's. They kept the car for another couple of days to fix that. The manager at the place was rude throughout. So after that stuff was resolved and I was able to drive the car around for a bit, I realized something was terribly wrong with the acceleration. Long story short, I figured out the problem and had them fix it. First, they tried to claim it was not accident-related, but I was able to prove them wrong. Now, a year later, I have experienced water leaking in through the passenger side door when I go to a car wash. It is apparent that the door has not been installed correctly. I will have to go back to Baxter yet again and I am dreading it. They do terrible work and they simply do not care. There are legitimate body shops in Omaha so no need to subject yourself to the nonsense at Baxter. read more

I do not recommend this auto repair shop. I was referred there from State Farm insurance as this is one of their preferred vendors and I figured with Baxter being as large as they are and a well known name it was a safe choice. I was given an estimate, was told the parts were to be ordered the next day (2 parts) and would be given a call to schedule the repair once they received the parts. I waited two weeks and called them back as I had not heard from them. First they said I wasn't in their system, then after the third person picked up the phone (I was on hold for a while) he scheduled a time two weeks out. I asked the man when the parts had been received by them and he responded a week ago. When I questioned why they hadn't called me then to get me on the schedule as now I have to wait an additional two weeks he responded "well we have been busy and our schedule is full until then anyway". Had they put me on the schedule when they received my parts I may have gotten in sooner. Not to mention.....I had to call them! They were unapologetic and treated me as if my piddly $1,000 dollar job meant nothing to them. This may sound petty, but if you want my business, act like it.
