While my sales guy was awesome, the ensuing 3 hours of back and forth with the sales manager to try to get to an affordable payment were beyond exhausting. 3 1/2 hours later I was in front of a finance manager who took complete advantage of my situation. It was overwhelming and to be honest, I just wanted to get out. Fast forward and I am trying to get my payment down because of health issues that have left me unable to work. I have several items I have financed on my bill of sale with no supporting paperwork. I have left messages and emailed several finance managers, with no response. I was trying to do the right thing before surgery. But they already got their money...so I have heard nothing back, nor do I expect to at this point. I have spent over 5K at this dealership in the past year to get a camshaft replaced as well as other service completed on my ram 1500. That experience was horrible with customer service but Paul the service advisor made th experience better and he was great to work with. I took it back today for a leaking exhaust manifold on the drivers side. I am pretty mechanically inclined and had already inspected the other manifold and knew it was perfectly fine. When the service, not Paul, called me back he stated matter of factly that both manifolds were bad and leaking and both had sheared bolts. That along with other repairs they stated were immediate needs totalled up to 3000. I am sure they are used to people just trusting them but I knew for a fact the service advisor was not telling me the truth. I asked him to take pics ( because I already knew nothing was wrong with the left manifold and wanted to see how they would respond and if they would admit they lied) and call me back and when he called me back confirmed that what he had told me prior wasn't accurate. As a result of not being able to trust them I told them I would pay the diag fee confirming it is 150 and get service elsewhere. This dishonesty is quite frankly unacceptable and borderline fraudulent. I am frustrated even having to pay the diag fee and will file a report with Fiat- Chrysler and the BBB. Please avoid this dealership at all costs. Im not sure if the service advisor or tech is to blame but someone was not being honest and it's a shake because if they had been honest up front I would've gone forward with all the other service. read more

I will admit I had never purchased a car from a dealership before. It's a daunting experience I'm sure but in this instance I was fortunate to have a family member close to me that was familiar with the process, had already known a dealer who was honest, helpful, and professional already. It helped me tremendously as I'm sure I'd have been overwhelmed and anxious had I done this all myself. I had the pleasure of working with Cedric to purchase my new vehicle in late May. It was a difficult experience to have to purchase a new car as it was completely unplanned. Luckily, Cedric helped make the process super easy. He was kind enough to drive the car I chose out to the house and showed me how all the features work on my car. He also helped me with the process of getting all of the financial papers and documents completed and then waited patiently for my title for my old car to come in the mail. I get that there are parts back logs, technician shortages and that. What I can't understand is a lack of customer service from their service department. 1. If they say they will call you back, it simply won't happen. I was 0 for 3 days in a row with that trick. Simple code for not wanting to work. Also don't fall for the "need to talk to parts department" and parts department says "need to talk to the service department". I feel bad for the poor lady answering the phones. 2. If you walk in to check on you vehicle that they won't call you back on, how the person you worked with is there. If they have a day off, are on lunch break or whatever, no one will talk to you. I purchased a 2012 Dodge Durango on 8/9 with the help of Rodney Page. I was satisfied with Rodney's professionalism and attitude. I took the vehicle for a test drive and noticed that it needed a tire repair/replacement. The vehicle's interior was also very filthy. Rodney assured me that it would all be taken care of - only after making a minor comment that the tire issue probably occurred during the test drive, which I can assure did not. Shortly after purchasing the Durango I also noticed that it had a minor leak near the front left area where the coolant would be located. I called Baxter before the end of August. I called again and again. I was finally able to speak with Rodney Page only to have him inform me that he would need to speak with his manager before moving forward. He continued to ask me if it wasn't something such as condensation? I took some offense to that, as I would not be as oblivious to call about something unless I knew it was a real concern. I waited over a week and never had a call returned from Rodney. I called again. Each time I called someone coincidently had the day off or was on vacation. I emailed Dustin Buss on 9/20 with all of the concerns, since he was the sales manager that reached out with a follow up email when I purchased the vehicle. Per Dustin Buss' email on 8/9: "...feel free to contact me directly any time if your satisfaction declines". However, he has been the most difficult person to reach when satisfaction declines. I didn't hear back via email so I called the next day 9/21 and was able to speak with Dustin. This is the ONLY time I've spoken with Dustin directly. I began by reiterating that nobody was communicating with me or returning phone calls/emails - including himself. I proceeded to inform him about the concerns pertaining the vehicle. Once I informed him that I would NOT need a loaner vehicle he told me that I was able to bring in the Durango on 9/26 to get it checked. When I arrived on 9/26, it was obvious that the service department was not expecting me. I spoke with JP at the service desk. He was as accommodating as he could be. He took some information then informed me that I would receive a call around noon/lunch with an update of the vehicle. Again, I made it a point that I drove 2hrs to get to Baxter and would like to receive some answers pertaining my concerns. I understood that depending on what the issue was, it might not be fully serviced the day of - however, I left with the impression that the vehicle would at least receive a diagnostic test. 4:30pm rolled around and I had yet to receive a phone call. I gave them a call back only to have JP inform me that my car had not yet been checked. JP continued to give me some options and I opted to keep my vehicle at the Baxter location to be checked immediately. I heard nothing back on 9/27, despite being told I would receive a phone call around noon. I reached out to Baxter on 9/28 and asked for an update. I later received a call back from JP and a full inspection report. My main concern now was if Baxter's pre-owned vehicle warranty would be applied to the repair costs. I heard nothing. Each time I called Baxter about the vehicle I was told that Dustin Buss and/or Rodney Page have the day off or are unavailable. Additionally, each individual I spoke to "assured" me that they would return a call. NOBODY did. The only individual that called back was a Dan H. from the service department on 9/29. Dan H. informed me that he would look for Dustin Buss and that he would return the call whether or not he found him. However, he didn't follow up once we ended that conversation. I finally give up on Baxter on 9/29. I spoke last with JP only to inform him that I would not be moving forward with any services offered at Baxter and to NOT touch the vehicle moving forward. Again, JP was as accommodating as he could be and informed me that he would give me a call back tomorrow 9/30. Unsurprisingly, NOBODY gave me a call back. The Durango was picked up on 10/1. It's now 10/5 and NOBODY has reached out via email or phone call. read more

I bought a used car from Baxter and had multiple ridiculous problems, including flat out lies and total incompetence during the process: 1. I tried to purchase the car and didn't get a call back for 2 days. 2. LIE #1: They took all of the floor mats out of the car and when I asked for them, they said the car never came with them. 3. LIE #2: I purchased the car with two keys. They first said the car didn't come with two keys. Then claimed that they "lost" the second key. After two hours, my mom found the key in their pile of keys. 4. They offered to make a second key after I complained, made me wait for 3 hours, and then found out they didn't have a blank to make the key. 5. The wait in #4 was because I was required to wait in the service line because I didn't make an appointment (for something they messed up). The sales team quoted getting a new key to take one-hour while the service department said it was a five-minute fix. Despite this, the team refused to move cutting a key ahead of cars that needed hours/days of work. 6. I coordinated with the dealer so that we could arrive, pay for the car, sign paper work, and get out quickly. This process took 4 hours. There is no reason this should take four hours considering we provided all of the information for the contracts prior to arriving. I'd love a call from Management but I don't expect it as they wouldn't return calls from someone that wanted to give them money. Between my experience and the fact that 70% of the reviews here are one star, it looks like they should clean house. read more

The worst experience of my life! Car service employee was very rude/dry/unwelcoming/unfriendly. I could tell I wasn't welcome and he didn't care about me as a customer. I dealt with him initially and I received the same vibe. Condescending when I described the issue with my vehicle. Just made me feel uncomfortable. On today's occasion I asked for his Manager to further handle my issue. While waiting for the Manager, I stepped directly out the glass doors to make a phone call, after already waiting over 7 minutes. The Manager came out in the garage area and said I'll come back when you're done with your phone call. I ended my call and said I'm available. He put his finger up and said I'm going to move this vehicle and come back. NEVER CAME BACK. After 10 minutes of waiting for him to reappear, I went inside the Baxter sales department to request someone who could assist there. The front desk employee asks "do you have an appointment?" ... I did. she then asks "did you speak to the service employees?" ....I had done that. I informed her that I needed a Manager. She made a phone call, I'm assuming, to the gentleman who stepped to the garage area to move the vehicle. This woman hung the phone up and told me "well he's coming up but you shouldn't pretend to be on the phone when he tried to approach you". I told her "ma'am I just need a manager" while keeping my composure. She reiterated her statement, insulting my intelligence as if I blatantly ignored a guy I REQUESTED TO SPEAK TO! I said "I'm an adult, is there someone I can talk to with some sense in here" She made another phone call at that moment and told whoever she was speaking too. "Please come up here now I have a lady up here and she's very irate" Not once was I irate, my whole exchange was polite and professional but you know what was different, the color of my skin. People always want to know how we know we're being treated different. IT'S BLATANT but subtle! The Service advisor was last name 'DEEGAN' Not real sure about the identity of the other employees but this was a bad experience and being Black wasn't my issue, it was there's. Just leased a brand new 2019 Ram two months ago. Have had it back to the dealership three times for the same problem. A very dangerous problem. I step on my accelerator and the vehicle barely moves. Remove my foot and the vehicle takes off. I have a new teenage driver. If this happens to her I fear she would panic. They have yet discussed putting me into a different vehicle. They gave me a loaner and the plates were two months expired. Purchased my last vehicle through them in 2012 and was pleased. Service is horrible now. Last time I picked it up after them telling me it was fixed it had been parked under a tree and birds had defecated all over the hood. I requested they wash it before I take it. Should have never had to even ask them. Contacted Chrysler to file a formal complaint. Only received an email with my case number. No one even called to follow up. read more

Ridiculous. I was a customer of the La Vista location for years, and this was my first visit to the Papillon store. I visited for simple service, an oil change and tire rotation. Many of the staff in both the sales and service areas were not wearing masks, apparently unaware that we have been in a global pandemic for months. Many more were wearing them at half-mast, casually draped below noses, chins, or even around the neck. After my service was completed, I noticed a large scrape along the door. I quickly pointed this out to the service advisor. His reaction? The suggestion that I should take time from my schedule to have it estimated at THEIR shop. No offer to take the car and handle it themselves, no offer to put me in a rental, nothing. Not even an apology for the damage. As I stated, this was my first visit to their new location. The two sales people I dealt with at this place were really nice, although when I told the first sales person when I test drove the truck the first time that I would be there at 10, when I arrived, he was with another customer. That's okay, he set me up with another nice fellow. Super nice guy. I just had the worst experience buying a car ever, and it definitely needs to be addressed. My wife's car blew an engine on Monday. She needs a car for work so we started looking for a new car for her on Tuesday. We went to 1 dealership in Blair and came home to a local Ford dealership. They didn't have the best used car inventory but we were able to find a vehicle that would work. The day we're to go sign for the vehicle, I get a cold call from Performance Chrysler. Odd, but impeccable, timing. The salesman on the other end of the phone is clearly feature launching and trying to get me to NOT sign for the vehicle on Friday night. After hearing about some of their inventory I decide it was in fact smart to delay the purchase and go to Performance for a look. I arrived at Performance at approximately 11:30 on Saturday, 12/13/14. I met with Nick D. and the car that lured us there simply wasn't worth the money there were asking. That's not a problem, we looked for others on their lot. We kicked a few tires but found one that we liked. The vehicle was an 08 Jeep Liberty. When we opened the door there was a HORRIBLE cloud of cigarette stench that left the vehicle. The previous owner clearly smoked in the vehicle and they were NOT "window" smokers. This is a used car lot, so again I don't hold this against Performance. It had a broken window switch and a broken window as well as some hail damage. It also had some hail damage on the roof and the hood. The salesman assured us that they could get the smell out or at least get it to greatly diminish so we played the car haggle hussle and came to the following deal: I would pay $6750 for the vehicle. Performance would fix the window and provide the part for the window switch. I agreed to do the labor putting the switch in. Performance would detail the vehicle extremely thoroughly and fill the tank with gas. This was subject to Performance being able to get a majority of the smell out. As I explained to Nick D, my wife and I are former smokers. As such, our previous car also had some cigarette smell to it that we are OK with. We don't smoke any longer so a smoke-free car is better but this is a used car and we would have been getting a great deal. We can shampoo / mask if needed. In the current state, however, it simply wouldn't be acceptable. Nick D and a manager, Brandon, agreed to this deal. We shook hands and awaited paperwork to be drawn up. When Nick brought the paperwork to us, it had 2 glaring mistakes. First, it had "PARTS ONLY SALE" listed on every document and it did not lay out the aforementioned subjectivity. I let Nick know it must be a mistake for the "PARTS ONLY SALE" and he explained it's just what is on all his documents. I let him know that is a show-stopper for me. I was not buying parts, I was buying a vehicle. As such, I won't sign a document that says I'm buying parts. I also pointed out that the subjectivity wasn't put in writing. Nick went to the manager desk and came back with a gentlemen named Mike. Mike explained to us that he wouldn't remove the "PARTS ONLY SALE" wording because if he did we might bring the vehicle back for service issues. I pointed out that AS-IS NO WARRANTY was accepted and agreed to. I let him know I had no preconceived notion of recourse on any car issue once it leaves the lot. Mike would not budge. Since I was not buying parts, the meeting of the minds we once had was undone. Mike explained he had other vehicles we may be interested in and went to go look. At this point it was 2:45 and my wife didn't want to wait any longer so we got up to leave. Nick saw us leaving and asked us to wait, maybe he could get a different manager to fix it. I'm sorry sir, it was too late. You knew up-front that we already had a car picked out and it was just waiting our signature. Brandon, the first manager that agreed to the deal, also saw us on the way out and was befuddled how someone else un-did the deal. I let him know briefly what happened and he appeared to be stunned. As we were on I-80 driving to go sign paperwork for the other car we received another call from Nick D. Nick begged me to come back in the lot, and I explained to him that he had the chance to sell me a car. I explained that we had already agreed on a deal and I wholly intended on consummating that deal. I let him know that I was not turning around, I was going to sign for the original car at a different dealership. I did not lie, I was heading to Atchley where what we agreed on is what we signed for. A point of note - Nick isn't a bad guy. He actually is persistent, as he called me again 4:09 to try to earn my business. Unfortunately for him I was signing for the vehicle at that moment. When we agree on a deal, that deal needs to be written before I'll sign it. Just like your red stamp says, "There are no verbal promises outside of what is contained on this document." read more

So disappointed! I have a 2016 Jeep Renegade and have nothing but problems with it since I bought it! I bought it in another state but since moving to Nebraska, I've been taking it to Baxter for all my maintenance. I needed help changing the rear wiper blade and the service department was unable to get the old one off and told me that he "thinks the entire wiper arm needs to be replaced". I thought this was a bit ridiculous but went to the parts office to ask for the part. The man said he "could give it to me for $53.10!!!!" That was a deal he was giving to me! Already fed up with having to replace the engine, radiator and back up camera THREE times, I walked out of the building and went home. I ended up googling how to replace the blade and fixed it myself with the $12 blade I took in! They were willing to scam me for $53 without hesitation! DO NOT GO TO BAXTER! read more

Beware the bait and switch. Performance Auto regularly advertises great deals, but when you arrive the salesperson says the "car has just been sold" or "the ad had a misprint." Then, the salesperson directs you to a different, more expensive car. If you check the ads the next week, you'll see the same exact great deals listed again. I'm convinced that this dealership makes up these fictitious deals with no intention of ever honoring them. Stay away. read more

Paid for a new compressor in my car (which who know what they did) to fix my AC and when they gave it back it worked for 3 days. When I took it in to have it looked at again, they first forgot they even had my car and called to ask if I have it. They get 1 star because there service department is full of complete idiots who dropped out of high school to become an auto mechanic. As soon as my oil package is complete I will no longer set foot on this property in Omaha, NE. The techs are rude and have the time let you stand there for five minutes before you are even noticed. It started a few oil changes ago when this women tech couldn't find my account. That was because some dyslexic employee swapped two letters around when entering my information into the system years ago. You think after telling the dealership 3 times they would fix my account... Nope. After she found my account she continued to be rude. When I came back I felt like I was in the movie "Planes, Trains and Automobiles," I stood there at the counter for five minutes while she talked to her boyfriend on the phone. Finally she looked at me and said rudely if I was here to pick up my car to go inside. I really wish this women would be fired, but I think they keep her around for all the high school drop outs to look at while they are working on customers cars. My husband got his oil changed tonight and the lady working was pretty rudeHe went to get an express oil change and the lady gave him dirty looks and proceeded to tell him he should have made an appointment. He explained he was there for the express lane but she still said they prefer you make an appointment. We have never made an appointment before to use the express lane and never caught grief about it either. Not sure what the attitude was for but she was not happy. I'm pretty fed up and can't seem to get a resolution since it's hard to get ahold of management in this dealership so here it goes September of 2018, my grandmother calls to make an appointment for oil changes for our cars (we have 3 darts between us) the tech tells her that I have no more oil changes in my package (I should have at least 2 if not 3) and that they have all expired because I haven't come in for service in over a year. I thought that was weird because I was just there in February of this year getting a routine oil change like I always do at least 2 times a year depending on how much we drive (it's our secondary vehicle) I'm about a week postpartum and I take my car in for a routine oil change as I do to the same place every time I get an oil change. Upon leaving, one of the techs (the short brown hair heavier set one) tells me "your car is ready when you are" hands me the packet they always do and tells me my keys are in my car around the corner. I leave and go on about my day (I live in Lincoln so this dealership is about 45 minutes to an hour drive) The next Saturday rolls around and my fiancé, my son, and I head back up to Omaha to see family. Fiancé decides to do pull the car up in the garage and his dad realized that both of my front tires are showing wires on the insides while he was pulling up. I look at the packet and see that the tech marked down that the tires were in failing condition and wrote down that a new set of tires with an alignment was necessary but also in the packet it states that we "deferred" to have this done. Another problem is that my car is now 3 years old. Nobody checked my brakes during this inspection because it's marked as "not done" in this same packet. I've spoken to multiple people who work for Baxter dealerships and they say that they always check brakes. However, the lazy techs who did my car didn't care about checking. In the state of Nebraska it is ILLEGAL to drive on the roads with visible wires showing on tires. But the dealership who were the only ones who knew my tires were showing wires decided it would be a good idea not to say anything. Especially to someone who has a newborn baby with her at the oil change. My car is FWD, had my tires blown out on the way home from the dealership, we could've lost control and been seriously injured or killed. But that's not all, ever since I left the dealership my car has been making a weird noise from the steering rack every time we turn the wheels. My driver side rear speaker is also completely blown somehow even though my car is 3 years old and we don't listen to the music up loud hardly ever. I'm beyond irritated that I have to deal with these issues and I can't seem to get a reply back from the general manager unless I email multiple times. On the week of March 11 (7 weeks ago) right after exiting the interstate my sons tire flew off his truck. He had just had the front end rebuilt (under warranty) at Baxter Chrysler Lavista. They sent him down the road with two lug nuts placed on the inside of the tire (between the hub and the tire). Basically two lug nuts on the wrong side of tire. And apparently didn't raise alarm that the tire was missing two lugs nuts when tightening. My son could have been killed or seriously injured because of their negligence. So 7 weeks later and they still have not fixed his truck, nor apologized. They placed a temporary rim (which doesn't match) and tried to talk him into keeping the non matching rim. His truck makes loud squeaking noises and the trim is broken off and who knows about undercarriage or frame damage. 7 weeks!!!!! read more

I originally leased my truck with scratches/ dents in multiple places on the body and for the past 2 years I have been told every time I bring it in to call this number or that number or talk to this person or that person and not a dammmnnnnn thing gets accomplished. Absolute clowns. Tomorrow I will be bringing in my car for service and I was told that there's THREE, yes, THREE rental cars available at a CAR dealership, huh??? I brought my low-mileage 2015 Jeep in to Baxter in July 2019 to get a minor repair done that ended up costing about $200. When the repair was done, service consultant Paul Kuta showed me an inspection form and a recommended services list stating that mechanic R. Wedergren found a "steering system leak" and a low power-steering fluid level. Baxter advised me to get the rack and pinion assembly replaced at a cost of about $2,400! When I asked the service consultant exactly where in the system the leak was found, he said that wasn't specified by the mechanic. A respectable auto-repair business would have topped off the steering fluid as a common courtesy after finding it low. Baxter did not. Since my Jeep was showing no signs of a problem with the steering, and my garage floor was completely free of leaking fluid, I took my vehicle to another mechanic to get a second opinion. This mechanic inspected my power steering system and found no leak. He topped off my power steering fluid and sent me on my way. I checked my power-steering fluid level weekly for the next two months, and the level did not drop at all from the full line. BOTTOM LINE: Baxter recommended a $2,400 repair based simply on a low fluid level. After being a loyal customer of Baxter for four years, I will never do business with them again. read more

Wyatt Reynolds was our salesperson and he was nice at first but then when we said we were hesitant on the price he told us no Matter what we go with our payment will be that high. Didn't matter if it was used or new, we were basically stuck. We went with the only truck he would show us and then when he called us to check in we asked if the loan was approved. He said yes and then we got a call later from finance saying it wasn't and our payment went up over $100. They said we should have gone with a used car cause that payment would have been lower. Had Wyatt not lied to us about prices, we probably would have gone with a cheaper car. Now I'm trying to set an appointment for aftermarket stuff they promised us because of the difference in payment and I cannot seem to get ahold of anyone and no one will call me back. I've left 3 voicemail and no one will return my call. One person told me to talk to Tracy and another person says Tracy hasn't been in that department for weeks. This dealership kinda seems like a joke and I will never go there again. the truck is nice but the people are horrible. I found the exact car I was looking for at a good price online, confirmed details via email with a sales person, and headed in. Once there I was told the car was $8-$12K more than what was advertised online and told the online price was wrong since they'd done upgrades and had 'technical difficulty' updating the price to reflect those upgrades. Then they tried giving me $3K for my trade in that (after my own research on KBB and a car salesman friend helped me) should have been between $6-$8. Shame on you Baxter. What a waste of time. I've had two bad experiences here. The first was when I was car shopping. Let's just say I left and bought my car at Baxter the next day. I have a 2013 Dart I bought brand new off of the showroom floor in 2012 at Baxter. I live near Performance. One evening I put the key in the ignition and it wouldn't stop beeping. I drove up the street to Performance and they didn't have a mechanic on duty. It was 6pm and they are open until 10pm. Ok, no problem. I took it to Baxter and got it taken care of. Tonight, I called because there was a ticking/humming noise. I spoke to a guy who said I could come in tomorrow. He gets my name, then comes back and said "There has to be a warranty technician, we cant get you in until Thursday." That's 6 days away. Ok. So basically they are open until 10pm on Friday and I believe later M-TH and they don't have a mechanic on duty. Really? Lousy lousy lousy customer service. Service Department, I just can't handle you any more. I'm done. It is always something just not quite right every time I come in. This time it is the oil change light. Did you not change the oil at all and you are lying? I call and this random set of instructions on how to change it myself. It's not beyond my capabilities, but this is a service that I paid for. It should be completed in it's entirety. Last time, I asked about the rear defrost not working and the left the back light dangling down in the back window. Very sloppy. If they are this sloppy on the surface, I am nervous to think about their sloppy job performance on what I can't see. read more
