Bay Alarm bought our local alarm company, Bond, several years ago. Their service is ineffective and unprofessional. In this latest instance, we asked to upgrade our alarm to include enhanced measures in a back room. After speaking to a team member in their out of state office, we agreed to add an additional door sensor, a device for it to communicate to the exisiting panel, and an additional motion detector. The service tech showed up in the time window and did not bring or complete any of those upgrades. He re-completed a repair from February that failed and charged another $130. The escalation team in California apologized and offered another visit for which we would have to pay another service fee. Use a more professional local company that values local customers. read more

I ordered this alarm set 4 years ago for my father who was failing in health . I can not recommend the alarm. When we received it - the technology looked like it was archaic 20 years behind - we had problems with it working - we had to send Back the unit they sent another unit it did not work properly either. It was extremely frustrating and time consuming to try to resolve the issues eventually I cancelled and contacted the company by phone and explained the displeasure. I sent back the equipment to the company canceling. My father passed away within a year. Fast forward 3 or 4 and out of the blue I start getting text alerts from a collection agency for an unresolved $85 balance on my dead father's account. REALLY - Really - what horrible service and harassment. Run don't walk away from this company - the reviews they claim to be must be bogus. Again today they call late after alarm was activated. This time thirteen minutes late! So I call in to speak to a supervisor to find out why? She kept interrupting me while I was explaining. Ten months later and they have only gotten worse, so I guess I'm going to have find a new monitoring service. Apparently they still haven't gotten their computer system figured out yet since the data in one system doesn't always match what others have. You'd think they'd have a master system with everything feeding off of it. For example one of my rentals is on an 'Avenue' and in the billing system it does, but in the Emergency contact system it's listed as 'Street'. When the renter set off the alarm accidentally the cops couldn't find the address. I called in and had it fixed, but my property manager did the same thing when it happened, so I have no confidence it'll stick. Two weeks ago I accidentally tripped my own alarm and cleared it within seconds. Got a call from them - good - but I never talked to an agent. Over the past year, our alarm system has issued several false warnings on an intermittent basis. Typically this would wake us up around 2am. We contacted Bay Alarm and they had a representative onsite the next morning and he resolved the issue. To avoid future false alarms (and lack of sleep), Bay Alarm worked with us on an alarm system replacement that would meet our budget. The installation took the better part of a day (due to the size of our home and number of entry points). A current alarm system was installed and that has resolved our false alarms completely. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! First time dealing with them since the acquisition and I can't give them enough kudos! My Tech was David Madden and he was awesome!! To make a long story short, due to some issue with UpLink; my entire system crashed. I spoke with Mr. Madden the evening of Jan 26th, he explained the situation and assured me that service would return soon and that he would stay in contact, to make sure I was happy. To my surprise, I received a call Monday morning informing me that David would be coming by the next day. David arrived, well within the window provided and assured me he would be in and out and service would be back. Regardless to say, that was not the case, as the system had sustained more damage than assumed. He was professional, courteous and xplained the issues and once again assured me he would fix it and he did just that! I have been a customer of Bay Alarm Company (formally Bonds Alarm) since March of 1986. Obviously, I've been with them so long because they are the best provider of security systems in Arizona. If service is needed, they are available when you need them. I lost the ability to walk in June of this year due to Necrotizing Fasciitis. I now am bound to a wheelchair. I could not set my security system because it took me too long to leave the house, with the wheelchair, the alarm would "go off" and I would have to go back in the house to reset it. I had this great system and could not use it when I went out. When the Branch Manager, Tom Donahue, learned about this he sent his Senior Technician, David Madden, over to my house to resolve the problem. David was here about 30 minutes "setting me up". I now have a "Remote" that I can arm/disarm the system with. Finally I can secure my property properly when I have to go out. It is so easy. I push the "ARM" button to turn it on and the "DISARM" button to turn it off. It even has a "MEDICAL EMERGENCY ALERT" button. Oh my gosh! We are so impressed, and we don't impress easily. We decided that we wanted to get rid of our land line for our security system, and so Bay Alarm scheduled an appointment to change our equipment and add a radio. Fortunately for us, they sent their technician Mike out to help us. Mike could not possibly have been a nicer, more tech-savvy, smarter, helpful, and more informed guy. It turned out to be way more complicated, as we live surrounded on 3 sides by mountains. We don't know how he did it, but he figured out a way to make everything work perfectly. Instead of a 90 minute job, it was about 4 hours, and yet he saw it through to the end, with a big, friendly smile on his face.
