we submitted a service call through the warranty and was referred to Sun belt. the technician Montana was very nice but told me the problem wouldn't be covered by warranty. There are a ton of details but to sum it up Candy (aka Tracy as I named her) was so incredibly rude and unprofessional cutting me off prior to speaking and just shrugging me off because according to her things weren't covered. I had to fight for her to even submit a report to AHS (warranty). Once I spoke to AHS, I needed an amendment to the report. I wasn't asking for then to lie, simply to include the omission that the wiring was incorrectly installed to the appliance, which was covered. She kept arguing things weren't covered. I just needed her to do her job to ask tech to resubmit the report with excluded verbiage. I did not need her to argue whether the job was covered or not (because that's not her job to say just as she's directionally told me when I was interrupted the first phone call). I finally got her to supposedly amend the report. In the end, AHS was going to cover some but not all of the work. At this point, I wanted an estimate on uncovered work but when AHS called "Tracy", she denied the work stating they don't do that. Really? an electrical company doesn't install an outlet? Tracy/Candy is so rude and disrespectful. One would think the company and customer would work together to get the job for your company but to her it was more important to argue and deny the work. I used my One Guard Home Warranty for my malfunctioning bathroom exhaust fan. The guy came out, turn on the exhaust fan switch. It was making bad noises. This took less than 30 sec. I didn't hear back from Sunbelt for a few days so I called. They said they don't fix exhaust fans that turn on, even though making noises. Guess if it causes a fire, that's another thing. I called One Guard after I called Sunbelt and One Guard said they did not tell Sunbelt that they made a determination. Someone was lying. Anyway, the tech that came out to our house never removed the cover to see what was causing the noise. Lazy tech. Waste of my $75 service fee. I have never seen someone so lazy with a service call. Had he removed the exhaust cover to see WHY the noises, he could've explained WHY One Guard would not cover and showed me. LAZY is how I describe this company. If that's good for you, then go for it. Most of my reviews are very positive and good. My interaction with the person that answered the phone was not good as well. I had a very frustrating experience with Sunbelt Electric Inc. My home warranty company sent them out to inspect some electrical issues, and while they did show up, that's about where the service ended. After the inspection, they left and closed the work order without ever contacting me to explain their findings or discuss any repair options. I had to call them myself just to figure out what happened. The staff member I spoke with said the job was closed because the warranty company didn't approve further work--but no one from Sunbelt Electric bothered to inform me of that. When I asked if they planned to call me at any point, I was told "no" and that the warranty company would handle communication. That never happened either. To make matters worse, they didn't provide any estimate for repairs and even said they weren't sure they could, since they're entering their busy season. Overall, the lack of communication and follow-through was unacceptable. It feels like they're more interested in collecting the service fee and moving on rather than actually helping customers. What a joke these guys are. They came out as part of a warranty request that cost me $125. The guy was here less than 5 minutes. I have 3 mounted led wire fixtures all not working. He only confirmed there is power going to it and said he will replace the fixtures via warranty in a few days. My thought was how impossible it was for 3 led wired light fixtures to all go out. They last forever and chances of all 3 out can't happen. So he leaves and the warranty company then tells me fixtures are not covered. So I just paid $125 for this company to come out and tell me there is power going to the area which I already knew. They clearly use a warranty company to scam people. OneGuard Home Warranty assigned electrician Cole to service my property. He claimed to have repaired two outlets during his visit but when I tested one of the outlets just moments after he left, it still wasn't working. I immediately texted dispatch alerting them of the issue. It took us a few days to get him scheduled to return. When I spoke to dispatch, she said is common for them to have to return to properties. When Cole returned, he took apart the outlet and fixed it. This time I tested it before he left and it worked. However, he claimed that the issue was that the Bedroom 4 breaker was tripped. I didn't believe him then and don't believe him now. He reported to the warranty company "totally different issue than the first time" which is fundamentally false. The purpose of reporting this was to be able to bill a second time. I will never do business with this company again. I don't trust them. read more

I only got to use Sunbelt Electric because OneGuard forced me to, and honestly, it was a mistake. They didn't even come out for 10 days, which meant my ceiling fan sat broken and noisy for over a week. When their tech, Frank, finally arrived, he seemed confident the motor was shot, yet by the time he reported back, he claimed they don't replace noisy fans. That sudden reversal felt shady and confusing. Because I couldn't get them to stand behind their own diagnosis, I had to hire Fan Doctor Electric myself. They came out promptly, replaced the motor, and confirmed Frank was right the first time, the motor was bad. It's upsetting to pay a warranty company's service fee and then still be out the full repair cost because their provider dragged their feet and changed their tune. I understand policies can be picky, but forcing customers to wait 10 days for a contractor they don't let you choose, then flip-flopping on the diagnosis, is simply poor service. I hope Sunbelt Electric steps up and honors its technicians' judgments, or at least communicates honestly. That's just how I felt, you might have a different outcome, but I can't recommend them based on my experience. read more

well, I.owe this review to my community , to let everyone know what had happened to me , so no one is a potential victim of the fraud....I contacted my warranty company American Home shield, as I had electrical issue with my outdoor lighting.... Sun Belt Electric was a contracted with insurance so , the electrician came in and after $125 diagnosis he advices extensive work for over $1000 , cutting walls( insurance would not pay for) running new cables........turned out if the technician would spent more time diagnosing the problem he would or maybe not discover( "yay"!!!) the switch supplying electric current in the attic was off....... wow!!! They were contracted by First American Home Warranty to perform service in Buckeye. They didn't notify FAHW that they only service the West Valley once a week and wouldn't be at my residence for 7 days. As I rent I told them that the time frame was unacceptable and they needed to contact the person who contacted them to advise them and FAHW could contact another electrician but they refused to do. Their receptionist is doing them a dis-service and needs to learn PROPER protocol or be fired for being so unprofessional. read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had! This guy comes to my home bc my breaker box needs upgrading. The socket in my living room went out by my TV an ceiling fan was blowing breaker box. The room next to my living room would blow nothing in room but ceiling fan light. I'm in Arizona it's been very hot. I have an electrical fireplace who have nothing to do with breaker blowing NOT plugged in. The outlet where my TV plugged in blew so had to run extension cord from kitchen to living room to TV because outlet blew. I have nothing else plugged in but one lamp an TV. This lazy guy go to breaker box back to living room did nothing else...focusing on my electric fireplace that's not been on for months an a house electrical working properly it would not affect it even if it was on. I have a home insurance policy he needed to report back too to get repaired this lazy guy sends in I have electric fireplace ect...that's overloading breaker!!! Please do not call this company it seems family owned an no complaints able to be made the "secretary" stated I will put in complain. how can you put in complaint? I will put complaint on order ...???obviously these people don't care about customers because they will get paid regardless I wanted supervisor who is apparently remote! I was connected to Sunbelt Electric through my warranty company. The electrician came out and completed an assessment. My claim was declined by my home warranty because the electrician only reported the GFI outlet was missing. I called the home warranty company and they informed me that had the report stated I had wear and tear it would be covered. I called Sunbelt back to ask them to update the report to reflect the missing GFI and the corrosion around the outlet and wires. I was told by a lady on the phone we could argue all day but they would not update the report. She told me wires do not corrode.   Based on the photo I posted, it is obvious that the issue is wear and tear and in this case corrosion. read more

Asked to speak to a supervisor as the tech did not finish the job (he left after the first repair). AJ was apathetic, but professional. I would say bordering on inauthentic in terms of her taking accountability for the dismal first impression their tech made, but did promise to send out another tech. The second tech was kind and courteous, a palpable departure from the first tech, which was appreciated. He did not, however, test the other units. He instead said that the next step would be to communicate with the authorization department of the warranty company to ask for the other units to be replaced. Then, to our surprise, they (Sunbelt) closed the case like they had the first time, without doing the work. We called AHS, and they are now recalling the case AGAIN. This company actually told AHS that we are trying to get them to replace all of our smoke detectors when they are working fine. How can we know that they are working if they were never examined or tested by either tech? I talked to AJ, again. Without getting into more boring details, she was utterly unhelpful and suggested we "get a second opinion." This company is comically awful to deal with. Unfortunately AHS says they're the only company in the area that services our address. Hopefully they can find another company who takes pride in their work and is honest and thorough.
