The pulled pork mac n cheese was 10/10, meatloaf cupcakes and fish & chips were all also enjoyed by several people in the group. Even went back 2x on the trip because of the wide variety of options on the menu and space for a big group. Service was slightly disappointing and unhelpful

With that being said... the service was the downfall. When we walked in, the only other table that was seated was leaving so we were the only group. They were not busy. We had 12 and they cleared an area and seated us. We placed our drink order and then I asked about splitting the bill and I am not exaggerating one bit. She looked at me and rudely said "It literally says in the menu that we do not split bills and that there will be a 20% gratuity". So, since she is already guaranteed the 20% there is no sense in her being a good waitress from that point on. Again, we were the only table. There were times that we had to go to the bar to refill drinks. Another table did come in while we were there and that waitress was super friendly. Wish we had gotten her as our server. So, we each went to the ATM machine and withdrew $ to split the bill on our own. The very next day, we went to Rare Bird Brewery and when we walked in the staff told us right away about their policy to not split bills. Which we praised them for - excellent service. And in the end because they were not busy, they split our bills anyway. So, my suggestion is that Streetside Grill announce their policy when a table that large asks for seating. It costs nothing to be up front.

We had to make a reservation for a Friday night on Memorial Day weekend. Service was excellent. The bar seating never filled up so that's your best chance if you didn't make a reservation! It's on the smaller side of a place, but it is very cute and you can tell you're about to eat a really great meal!

Consistently so delicious and creative. I also like that they let us share (and gave two plates for us both). It was busy and they gave us a seat on the back porch after 20 min or so without previous reservations. We couldn't reach them by phone; so just went in person. Their soups are my favorite thing. I'd bathe in it. This time was celery root and 5 years ago was parsnip. They have the same base of garlic, onion, cream puréed and just know how to do it. Excellent service each time too! My husband loved the SALAD (which he had never said in his life before) as well as the wagyu steak dish and Butterscotch mousse w/ short bread cookie that was best we have ever had (the chefs step dads recipe). After that they gave an extra little snacky of peanut brittle and pop rock orange like candy. The kimchi fritters were my other favorite dish of the night. Very happy cool place.

Barrio is a must-visit spot while in Traverse City. Although it originally hails from Cleveland…read more(which we've also visited), the flavors and service have carried over beautifully to Michigan. The vegan options here are fantastic. I love that I can choose the Thai chili tofu as my protein, and it's actually good tofu -- firm, crispy, and flavorful instead of the usual mushy version you find elsewhere. The customization is another huge plus. You can load your tacos with far more than the standard lettuce and tomato, choosing from a variety of slaws, salsas, sauces, and toppings. My personal favorite combination is the Dirty Sauce (definitely spicy, so be warned!) with lettuce, poblanos, onions, and the corn mix. The tacos are generously sized, so 2-3 will leave you completely satisfied, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. This is also a perfect place for larger groups or families. We have friends who love bringing their kids because everyone can fill out their own order form and customize exactly what they want. I have to recommend the salsa roja and chips as an app. It's easily one of my favorite salsas. It has the perfect consistency with just the right balance of spice and sweetness. We love coming here and highly recommend giving it a try. You won't be disappointed!

They did apologize for what it's worth. The menu was appealing with just enough offered. To start the meal, the salad ($15) was ordered. It was made up of romaine, sweet corn, radish, orange, pepitas, pickled red onion, beans, queso fresco, and a creamy citrus vinaigrette. The salad appeared very fresh with a light dressing aspect. I did not think I would like the oranges, but they were a nice touch. Everything really went well with one another. I had one of each of their tacos ($5 each). One of them was out, so I was unable to try them all unfortunately. My thoughts on each are below. All of their tortillas were homemade and of good size. They seemed to be in the middle of a street and normal size taco. Each taco was also stuffed. Pollo - This was with a chicken tinga, garlic cilantro sauce, pickled onion, corn nut, and cilantro. This was alright. For some reason, it reminded me of a curry. I suppose it was coming from the tinga flavor profile from the chicken? Not sure. Carne Asada - This came with mojo de ajo steak, smoked jalapeno crema, fingerling potato chip, pickled onion, and cilantro. This had good flavor with a nice cook on the steak. The smoked jalapeno crema was unique and tasty. Panza - This was a taco with crispy pork belly, Morita gastrique, pickled apple and jicama, chicharrónes, and cilantro. This was my favorite one. There was a sweet and spicy factor from the Morita, which was great and I really enjoyed it. The pork belly was very flavorful and was cooked ideally too. Pescado - This had a fried mahi piece, red cabbage slaw, mint, orange, avocado crema, house hot sauce, and cilantro. This was way too sweet. There was a nice fry on the mahi and of good size, but it was far too sweet for me. There needed to be more hot sauce. Shrimp - This had achiote marinated shrimp, house hot sauce, lime crema, crispy carrot, and cilantro. This was decent. There were three large shrimp present. I just was not too high on the shrimp seasoning as something threw me off. Will I go back? Yeah, I would.
