Before I buckled my 2.5 year old in his car seat, I placed the keys in his cup holder. At some point while buckling him, the doors auto-locked. I did not realize that happened until after I closed the door -- unfortunately, with the keys still in the cup holder. As you can imagine, I panicked. Luckily, the van was parked in a partially shaded spot. However, the sun was shining through the windshield. I imagined the interior slowly heating up.
