I came here seeking shades for my new house. The minute I walked in the employees greeted me with dirty looks. A older man came over to me and asked if I needed help I said yes, I am lookin for shades... I like something like this pointing to a floor sample (nothing crazy just a simple plain shade). I needed outdoor furniture reupholstered in the Hamptons for a client for an installation prior to Memorial Day weekend 2022. It was an extremely short time frame for the quantity of items that needed to be done, from the time the fabrics were chosen and received. Our firm is in Chicago and Kenny was referred to me by another upholsterer and said I'd be very pleased. He was so amazing ,understanding and reassuring that this would be completed within the 10 weeks we had from pick up of all the items to the delivery. He and his staff was quick to respond to all my numerous questions and concerns with great patience . They did beautiful work! Delivered weeks prior to client arriving. On top of Client adding additional items at the last minute. We were all very happy. We continued with furniture inside the home that needed reupholstering, new cushions and new curtains for this summer. In spite of the BackOrder on the Curtain fabric, again items being added to the original list of items we planned on doing, everything was completed and was beautifully done prior to the clients arrival this summer. In the nearly 20 years I've been working in this business assisting Scott Himmel who's been in the business for over 40 years, Kenny and all the staff at Bay Decorators, especially Jill are the most professional and yet so warm, caring & patient. A rarity in this industry. We have used them for another east coast project and had the same experience. I would HIGHLY recommend Bay Decorators to other Interior designers and individuals who are looking for Quality and Professionalism without unreasonable prices for their needs . Inferior product. Owner shows poor public relation. Worst experience. The mechanic had a terrible attitude, and actually yelled while here. I will not recommend them to anyone. After changing the defective blinds several times, we were left with blinds that have pin holes. If you wish to pay a lot of money for defective blinds, and enjoy dealing with an owner, and his mechanic, who don't care, than go to Bay Decorators. Good luck! read more

I cannot speak highly enough about Bay Decorators. We met with several companies for new shades in our home, and by far Kenny was second to none. He arrived on time for the measurements and spent hours with us going over every detail and combination. He really made us feel comfortable with the product we were buying. This place has been around for a very long time. My mother in law used them to install custom drapes over 20 years ago and recommended Kenny to us when we bought our house and were looking to install custom shades. We priced out a few options in addition to Bay Decorators and ended up using them. Great customer service and quality of work. Kenny is very responsive and easy to work with. He came and measured all of our windows - he was quick and extremely knowledgeable. We brought samples of what we wanted, he offered us very good advice and did not try to force any products on us. He gave us the best price around and we are extremely happy with the finished products. The shades were installed about a year ago and we have not had any issues with them. Recently we reached back out to reupholster a pair of vintage Saarinen armchairs and the result is amazing. I did not expect them to look as good as they do. Could not recommend enough!! Very rarely do I write a review. I received exceptional service from Phil at Bay Decorators, that I felt should be shared. I had a problem, that required multiple visits and Phil came back several times to make sure I was completely satisfied with the end result. Getting it fixed was something that all companies should strive to accomplish. Making the customer feel comfortable enough until they are 100 percent satisfied is rare.
