There is only one person working there ... and she's rude! (Maybe it's a language barrier)

Lisa Tran is super rude and has a bad attitude - she calls her employees "oh the fat one?" when they aren't there. That's why this place is always empty - bad vibes. The only people that come are the elderly folk who don't have a choice. Also, this place doesn't know how to remove basic gel manicure - they ruined my nail be and charged double the original quote of $20 to $40 (on top of a manicure). Never again. Their tools are old, rusted (you can see the brown rust on the tools) and busted - I regret coming here for anything other than a basic pedicure when I'm short on time. I'd rather go to southshore or any other place any day. No skills and does not keep up with the current nail trends or fashion. Dying business just like the rest of the shopping center. read more

Love their selection of nail polish and Lisa does a great job with nails and pedicure. Lisa is also so fast and does excellent work. If I'm just getting my nails done I'm out in 45 mins. The worst experience of my life. They are supposed to be open till seven. I got off work at 4:30 and got there at 4:35. She was annoyed that I walked in. I asked if I could get apedi ,and she took me but was very rude. Very abrupt and hurt me cutting my cuticles because she was going so fast. She didn't scrub the bottom of my feet. I didn't get a massage. She just put lotion on my legs really quick II only got my nails done and the color I liked was out ,so she picked another color that I wasn't crazy about but was almost a bully making me take the color, as if it would take to much time for me to pick one myself. The whole thing lasted less than 30 min and she charged me $50. I went in hoping to treat myself and I ended up almost wanting to cry. read more

Extremely disappointed with the way we were treated. My seven-year-old was so excited to get a manicure and pedicure, but we were rudely told, "no. we're too busy." This happened at 12pm on a Sunday, and there were only two employees working. They didn't offer any alternatives, no suggestion to come back later, not even a basic apology. To dismiss anyone like that is unprofessional, but to treat a child that way is unacceptable. Lisa is pure terrible. I called and asked for the pricing to remove gel nail and she told me it was $8. I went there she took a look at my nails and insisted they were acrylic nails. I am 100% sure what I have were gel nails, and they were a little bit thicker due to the design I had. I ordered gel nail when I had them done. Lisa violently and impatiently pulled out the gel layer with nippers, hurting me. The layer she removed were completely soft and were gels, but she still insisted they were acrylic. She saw it with her own eyes there were no acrylic at all. I know and she should know what acrylic is. She then did a very poor job polishing (see picture), and super impatient. Lisa still insisted they were acrylic nails and charged me $15 for the removal. After a day, my finger tip nail bed areas were still in pain and a bit swollen from the violent removal. Super bad attitude and unprofessional. Can't believe she cannot tell the difference between gel nail and acrylic nail. Seems like fraud. read more

The location is less than five minutes away from my house and yet I will not patronize this salon. The owner, Lisa, is verbally abusive to clients and employees. At my last and final visit, Lisa was berating my technician for over 10 minutes. My technician was quiet and just sat there taking it. If you're looking to have acrylic nails removed, Lisa (owner) uses acrylic nails to slip under and pry them off. Doesn't seem to care too much if it's painful (it was)--only that any other option, like filing and soaking, is time-consuming and not an option for her. This is why you stay true to your hair stylist, your nail gal or whomever. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it into the city to get to my regular girl so I wanted to try something near my house and the gal was able to get my in at 9:45am this morning. The woman was very sweet and the salon is super cute. I had dip on but wanted to just start fresh with new tips so I could do a new color. I was slightly annoyed because I felt like she didn't want to do that for me. You know when you can tell someone doesn't want to do something? She kept repeating how long it takes and everything she has to do. I get it, it's a process but hey that's what I would like vs a fill. After she had me wash my hands I didn't even get a hand massage. That's the best part! Hence why my hands are so dry in those photos You guys, I'm beyond disappointed how this turned out. The clear particle powder is still showing under the clear coat and I'm sure that's because of this particular color. But the shape is not done well at all. They are so bubbly and uneven. I hate to even post a review like this but I saw my nails once I got to my car and just felt like dang! This just looks terrible. read more

Not sure how to make an appointment- when I walked in yesterday, the staff refused to make an appointment, when I called today, it was too late and I can't come in today again. The owner left both days early and the staff can't accept appointments for her. I guess I have to look for another place with more accessible hours, as I can't come at 10am on weekdays and it seems like 5:30PM is too late. Too bad, I liked the quality and proximity to my house. Poor customer service by the female staffs here on Thursday. A bunch of gossiping loud mouth ladies. Little did they know we understand multiple languages....they talked bad about their customers calling this lady fat that lady ugly but her nails are pretty. So pathetic don't they have better things to do and say? What's worse is they don't appreciate paying customers even if customers are young Little Girls. I brought my two little girls to get mani pedi polish and they were so well behaved but apparently these ladies do not have kids and kept harping at them to stop moving. Truly a disappointment of visit. Overall come here for nails polish but when you hear the ladies gossiping in foreign language and smirking left and right is truly poor taste by management to not put a stop to this behavior. Management please reprimand your gossiping tactless staffing who apparently has nothing better to be two faced to their customers. Carrying a conversation then hurtful words in their native languages. That is not professional. 1) Don't bite the hands that feed you 2) you lead a sad bitter life when the entire time you work on clients you are negatively rudely talking bad about the clients to your fellow co-workers. I visited Bay Farm Nail Spa for the first time yesterday and received a lovely mani-pedi. The space is clean, airy, and bright. Service is incredibly warm and friendly. The ladies here are so sweet and paid really close attention to detail. Lisa did my perfect Shellac French manicure, it was so natural and flawless! I also received a beautiful, champagne glitter pedicure. This is definitely my new favorite nail spa and I can't wait to return. I wonder if my toes are weird, do I try be chatty or should I stay quiet, etc. TT and Hana were chatty and shared that my toes were fine and how they've helped clients navigate ingrowns and fungus. I reallyy wanted to like this place since it's only a few blocks from my house. I gave it 3 tries before I realized it was a lost cause. I received 3 gel manis and 2 pedicures. My last visit was the worst manicure I've ever received in my 10 years of getting my nails done. Polish- The edges are rough, and done sloppy. It's been less than a week and the polish is already chipping. There are also bumps on the polish so it's not smooth. Nails- I prefer my nails long, but I did break one a week prior to my appointment. So I showed the tech the length I wanted (my ring finger). But, she trimmed my nails way too short. And even clipped my ring finger!! Like hello! That was the length I wanted! Why are you cutting it? Also some nails are even filed unevenly. I came here on a whim to kill time and happened to be the only customer. Yay! First impressions: Gorgeous, clean interior with a cozy/modern aesthetic. I love the soft purple and gray color scheme. I loved the polish selection as well! High end brands such as Nars and a variety of offerings from OPI, ESSIE and others. The bottles looked brand new, and not like they've been there since the late 90's, like other salons. Their gel selection was vast as well, about 50 shades to choose from. Each spa chair was equipped with its own iPhone charger which was a pleasant surprise! Service: I got a gel mani and regular pedi which they were able to do simultaneously. They brought the UV light to me, which was great, compared to other salons that make you get the pedi first and then walk to a table for a manicure. Lisa did my mani and Jessica did the pedi. They were both very nice and attentive and we had pleasant conversation. Another plus was that the a personal phone was ringing but they catered to me, instead of stopping midway to answer, as I've seen some do. Price: for gel and a basic pedi it came out to $48, $60 with tip. Great experience and service and would definitely come again. :) read more

Cutting was painful and I got minor cuts 3. Clean up was painful 3. Message was hurt 5. Nails shape uneven I thought she was new so I tried to keep calm until the painting. Tried to explain the shape then she started talking to her boss. Owner came over ... I didn't get a chance to say anything... first thing from her mouth "I don't see any problem. Why you complaining?" Oh well! How could you get upset at your customer before listening to them first. It's not the way to get loyal customers. I went to the grand opening this past weekend and this place is amazing. Nice open airy salon - you can't smell any of the usual fumes. I really like the chairs and how the remote is easy to use and find! I know it seems like a small thing to care about, but let me tell you how much better it is to not have to reach around and hunt for the chair control! Everything was clean and the staff was super friendly. The owners were there taking very good care of all the customers that came in. Oh, back to the chairs, I like how there's thin curtains separating the chairs. I came in with my friend, so we didn't need the curtain since we were chatting it up. But there have been times where I want to close my eyes without the person next to me staring at me sleep with my mouth wide open.
