Robbie and the other guys answered my inquiries as best as they could without seeing the bike and provided me with the contact number of a great tow service that picked my Vespa up in Queens and delivered it to the shop. Robbie accepted my Vespa with flat tires, a dead battery and an extended list of maintenance and service that was without a doubt going to be needed to be done. I felt confident that my scooter would be safe as it waited to be serviced and that the shop was up for the gig. As soon as the crew assessed my Vespa Robbie contacted me to let me know what specifically needed to be done to get me on the road and I had my Vespa the following day. As a motorcycle rider, I have dealt with many mechanics and shops over the years in NYC, and Robbie and Scooter Bottega are next level. There are several HD dealerships closer to my house but in both cases, they had the parts I needed IN STOCK. What I needed today was on back order through the HD website and the wait time was a ridiculous 21 weeks. I could wait for months or just I could just take a ride up there. But before I drove up, I called to see if the part was actually in stock. The person who answered my call said the parts guy was tied up with a customer. Instead of telling me to call back or dumping me into voicemail(I hate that!), he checked and confirmed the item was as present in the store. It was. Maybe my two experiences were exceptions to the rule. I don't know. They are what happened to me. I realize these were trivial events but trivial events are what builds customer trust.

Owner and mechanic of Bike Boys, Alex Borghi worked on my Harley Davidson. Quoted me $700 for work,…read moreincluded a hose replacement for an oil leak, oil and fluid change, he replaced my front and rear brakes. The service was good for two weeks, and we had a written and verbal agreement to pay in installments and that was agreed upon by both parties. Service has been paid $300/$700, until I had a small accident after using my rear brakes to shift down and stop at a red light. The rear wheel locked while in motion. After close examination the brake pad he replaced is nonexistent, and the piston went through the rotor. After a simple brake service in addition to other services done, I will now have to replace the brake caliper, the piston, rotor, and new brake pad, I will now be spending double to repair the bike after his damages. Mechanic Alex has since blocked my number and ghosted me after agreeing to fix the issue he caused. I will be pursuing this issue to the highest extent of the law. Thankfully I am not dead. He has zero organization and poor communication. The issue has since been professionally diagnosed and not based on assumption! Harley compatible parts were not used for the brake servicing! Also not disclosed was the ongoing issue Alex had while doing my rear brakes, to the point that diagrams had to be looked up to determine whether or not he was correct! Not only was the tone and choice of words on the phone call I had to make from a separate number despicable but extremely rude to a customer and friend he had a personal friendship with. The issue after being professionally diagnosed was deemed not a user error but a mechanical error. Mr. Borghi since has still not returned any call or message and since deemed he is not responsible for the work done when clearly he was the only person to touch my brakes. There should be no surprise after reading this review as this will remain on his conscious forever!

I realized that this long time reputed motorcycle repair company initially established out of Fair Lawn NJ was now tucked away conveniently accessible right here in FAIRFIELD NJ. *The owner and employees are some the most kind, patient and empathetic folks I've come across in this recent industry.. where there can be a lot of ego; rushed tending; and, assembly line care that only brushes the surface of all that should matter. I was nervous and anxious starting new care to my vehicle due to past ill-handled business dealings, but I was handled with the utmost respect and consideration! Especially when it came time to pay, the bill was more than fair and that's hard to come by in our current world climate coupled with that was their sense of humanity surrounding my slight 'woman in distressing'. I pleasantly learned THEY DO A SURPRISING AMOUNT OF AUTOMOBILE WORK as well. I was in dire need of a 'Fred Flintstone hole' in the driver footbed to be be repair!ed! They did a *lovely job* and handed back my aged vehicle in better cleanliness than it was left to them. I'm looking forward to tackling my auto issues with them one at a time.
