I had to share my wonderful experience with Great Kills service station on Nelson Avenue in Staten Island. I've been told twice from Kia that they can't see anything wrong with my car. I had this intermittent issue with the acceleration on my car. The problem kept happening, but never when I would bring it into service. Today it happened again on my way from work. I wanted to drive straight to a mechanic to see what the problem was. I saw these men standing outside, and I flagged them down. Their service station was already closed but they took time to help and explain to me what could be happening. It's sometimes hard to find a mechanic you can trust. But I can say wholeheartedly I would trust all of my car repairs with Great Kills service station. The young gentleman there Geo and Roman were not only patient and kind they took the time to look at my car when the service station was not even open and gave me great advice. I am so appreciative of them. They are truly honest, good gentlemen. I recommend this service station to everyone. read more

Stay far away from this place. After I brought it there for service there was a banging noise in the engine. They told me I need a new lifter for $2000.. Turns out the noise was a screw in the lifter that some how miraculously got into a lifter. read more

terrible shop. came to get my supercharger pulley/tensioner pulley and belt replaced after the belt snapped. was charged for coolant refill after they disconnected the hose (which is fine) HOWEVER there was no coolant in my expansion tank.. so i was charged for no reason. ALSO my belt came off of my pulley literally the day after i picked the car up... i called my bank to file a dispute and ultimately lost because "the info they got from this shop shows it was a valid transaction" so i essentially spent $600 on nothing. if you care about your car please go somewhere else. they will steal your money and botch your car. read more

3/24/18-Everyone in this shop is great and they don't take advantage of you. The prices are also reasonable and getting your brakes fixed costs $140 less than competitors in the area. If they tell me something is wrong with my car, then somethings wrong, no second guessing. The owner Joe takes pride in his work and his shop and I won't go anywhere else. A few years back I had a lemon of a Chevy cobalt and I knew something was wrong with the fan motor because the car kept overheating. 4 shops - 2 on the island and 2 in queens- all said I was crazy. I went to Great Kills service center as a last resort, explained to Joe my concerns and how nobody else took me seriously. After about an hour he told me he kept the car running and heard it progressively getting louder and it was getting hotter and I was right, the whole fan motor assembly needed to be replaced. Pricing was reasonable and my car never had that issue again. I now have a brand new car and will continue to get basic maintenance there just so this shop can get my money rather than anywhere else read more

Went here to have my brakes checked. Was told a joke of a price!!! To have the work done, went to all tire mechanic had what this shop said was wrong fixed plus more work done to my brakes for 20$ more will never go here again place is a rip off. 450 for a master cylinder the part is 50$ and takes 1 hr to do they think ppl are stupid STAY AWAY STAY FAR AWAY read more

RIP OFF!!! When 1 of the mechanics told me I was putting Joe's kid through college..I stopped going. He is a patch and fix, and OVER charges. Im sorry but charging me the price of complete brake job when he only replaces the pads and cuts the rotors...no. Charging me $780 for a job and back in within 2 days..no. and def over charges senior citizens. thanks but no thanks...changed mechanics. read more
