A little dated decor, but nicely kept. Beds are pretty firm to sleep in as well. Bathrooms were very clean also. They also offer a free breakfast, which was well stocked, omelettes waffles and potatoes, everything you could want. There's also a restaurant next door if you're looking for some close by dinner. Being so closely situated to SFO airport, the hotels offer shuttles which there is a shuttle schedule posted at the front desk.

catching a flight the next day, so I found this hotel with free airport shuttle. Unfortunately, it didn't start running until 1 PM, which meant I had to wait an extra hour and a half. Then, I noticed the driver zoom past me at the bus stop, so I had to call the hotel to send him back. The hotel is right by the water, and you can see SFO from there. The room is spacious and really clean, and the staff were super friendly. Many Chinese restaurant next to the hotel. The next day after free breakfast I hop on the shuttle to SFO for DXB. Will definitely stay here again!!!

As a local, staying after foot surgery. I cannot say enough about the desk staff helping to accommodate our stay. Clean, comfortable, and affordable has made my 2 weeks unable to walk/bear weight SO MUCH easier. DEFINITELY recommend to any out of town guests we may have, OR locals in need of a lovely staycation with a view !!

Seems of the city, from their patio.

Having plugs available There is nothing to plug or charge your stuff $8.00 for bottled water, wow No USB plugs The bathroom vent has mold all over it The curtain in the room is ripped and torn The bathroom door does not stay open Continental breakfast was excellent. Had everything you could possibly need no need to go outside and get it. And the views outside the back patio near the breakfast place are beautiful

Really enjoyed my stay at Bay Landing Hotel! I opted for a hotel near SFO, and the shuttle service was so handy! It arrives on time, and the drivers are kind. It runs every 45 minutes. The property is in a safe part, and it's very clean! The breakfast is one of the better breakfasts I've had in hotels too! The public areas are also always being cleaned! I really liked what I got with the price I paid for this hotel. I would definitely stay again!

Worked in SF & based on thorough reviews on other hotels in the area, I decided here and my intuition was indeed on point! This is a GREAT boutique hotel with 4 floors & 130 rooms. Nice lobby area, friendly staff. Check-in was a breeze, quick & easy (5 mins). Room was great size. Bay views, king bed. I did a thorough bed check soon & bedding passed being clean with flying colors. Bathroom was clean. Shower is large with dual heads/handles, two can shower together. Water pressure is fantastic will burn u in shower so be careful & know how to use it b4 u get in lol. Free breakfast @ 6am! Nice collection of hot/cold food (waffles/omelettes/sausage/bagels/toast/eggs/cereal/fruit/juices/coffee/teas. They make cookies nightly (cchip/macadamia/chocolate/red velvet) Other pros: Free parking. Walking distance to Benihana. Easy to other food alternatives in area. Bay walking path. Overlooking airplane landing. Serene. Near SFO/Bart/CalTrans/freeway. Can't give away my secret but I had the perfect room overlooking the Bay/airplane landings. Very peaceful & I captured a beautiful morning on video. Wonderful hotel experience, definitely my place of choice again.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. This hotel is very affordable for all the inclusions! Parking, wi-fi, breakfast, fitness center, and SFO shuttles are all complimentary! The concierge was super friendly too. I paid about $90 for a king bed room and it was overall fairly clean. The theme of the hotel is very old school, so don't expect anything fancy or modern. In our room, there was one stain on the carpet and some hair in the hair dryer... but overall, pretty clean. I do wish the bed sheets and pillows were more comfortable, but the bed itself was very soft and plush. Our room had a nice view of the San Francisco bay! There's also a sidewalk to have a walk by the water too. Shuttles to SFO would come very often and as early as 4 am! The shuttle is completely free and got me to my flight on time. The free breakfast (due to COVID) is simply a bagel, some fruit, and a Yoplait. KEEP IN MIND: They do charge you a $100 deposit during check-in to ensure that you do not smoke or have pets in the hotel room. It is later refunded after your stay.

Front desk staff was friendly. We were disappointed in parts of room. Totally rusted makeup mirror in the bathroom and torn sheer curtains, stains in the carpet. Rooms are truly outdated, very 1990's vibe. I don't understand how the ripped sheers or rusted mirror is acceptable nor why one would keep these items in their room. See photos tell me what you think I would not stay here again.

On a visit to…read moreCalifornia's Bay Area, we did spend a couple of nights at the Hyatt Regency and had a memorable dinner. The front desk was really good and helpful, as we observed them dealing with other guests...some foreign guests. Yep...I felt right at home as a business guy. Sitting in the dining room, there were mostly single men and women at the various tables. Many with laptops open and still in business dress, they were still "working" as no one had a book that they were reading. That was me just a few years ago. The hotel is located a shuttle trip from SFO airport, so very convenient and much cheaper and more quiet than being downtown. As a Hyatt member, we were given a World of Hyatt discount card which we did use. Thanks. The restaurant was one of the many "shops" in the huge open area, surrounded by the very high, many levels of rooms. The rooms look down on this "pit". Excellent menu and the prices were not as outrageous as they could be. Nice wine selection and we both had $13 glasses of a Sonoma Zinfandel. Service was great and not being hungry, we just split a good $33 pizza. A bit steep, but we customized the composition to our tastes. The World of Hyatt card gave us a welcome 15% discount. You can turn in your rental car, call for the shuttle and later take the shuttle to catch your flight out.

When I arrived around 10:00 p.m., I had to go to the front desk to check in. The lobby was packed with guests because Hilton was experiencing a nationwide system outage. After waiting in line, I was informed that the ocean-view room I had specifically selected and paid for had already been given away. Instead of honoring my reservation or offering a comparable solution, I was simply assigned a different room. To make matters worse, the front desk associate told me they would waive my parking fee as compensation for the inconvenience. Later, I discovered that the parking lot is open to the public because it is connected to the oceanfront trail. There is no gate, no parking attendant, no security monitoring the lot, and guests are not charged to park there in the first place. In other words, they offered me something that was already free, making it feel like they were trying to appease me without providing any real compensation. The nationwide system outage was beyond the hotel's control, and I understand that. However, giving away the room I had already selected and paid for, then misleading me into believing I was receiving meaningful compensation when I wasn't, was extremely disappointing. I expected much better customer service and accountability from Hilton. I will be making sure to tell all my friends and family what type of experience I had!

It has a beautiful foyer, great dining area and the front office staff is pleasant. You can't go wrong with the manager's reception nightly with small snacks and two complementary drinks along with the buffet breakfast each morning However, the first evening we were unlucky finding the managers reception so we went to the bar to get a couple drinks, and the bartender was not the most pleasant. He walked away from us when we offered to pay with cash and just said that we don't take cash here and we finally waited and asked for him to please come back so we could order drinks with a credit card he did so with not most pleasant attitude. Another issue on our first day was paying for an "upgrade" to a room smelling deeply of recreational marijuana, which we do not partake in. We are also traveling with a child. We are given furniture that is worn and tattered a bathroom with no stopper and a lightbulb that wasn't working we called maintenance that day my husband left shortly maintenance arrived pretty swiftly however he had to change the bulb and proceeded to leave his tools and ladder in the restroom. Left the room and didn't say when when he was coming back He did return, he let himself in while my daughter and I were getting ready and changing for the evening. It was quite disarming. I called the front desk to let them know and ask if they speak with the manager, no one followed up with Us quite concerning. I guess the bigger issue is just paying for an upgrade when you feel like it's not even a bare minimum of what your visit should consist of doesn't mean we won't return to an Embassy suites just perhaps not this one.

(SFO Airport) Rating: 4.0/5.0 The Grand Hyatt at SFO is an amazing property, Hyatt truly showed why they belong in the luxury tier with this entry. A 351-room (and suite) airport hotel, one of the best airport hotels in the world, and connected directly to the airport via presecurity (TSA) airtrain on airport grounds. This was quite a luxurious hotel, in a prime spot and a must-stay for avgeeks (aviation geeks). While not the most luxurious hotel I've stayed at, it proves it doesn't have to be. While providing fine dining (at the Quail & Crane Restaurant, more on that below) or fast and convenient to-go items that can be enjoyed in your room or on-the-go (more than likely when here, you're heading to a flight, see: Twin Peaks café, below), the Grand Hyatt at SFO offers unparalleled service for an airport hotel and deserves its 5-star rating. The fitness center by itself is huge and offers yoga mats, stretch balls, peloton fitness bikes, treadmills, standard recumbent bikes, free weights, circuit training and more, plus complimentary water and towels. What is more, is that they truly metaphorically bend over backwards to serve you which no hotel is obligated to do. If you order Uber Eats or Doordash, for example, they'll drop your food at their first floor valet lobby; it's no problem at all. Though the Quail & Crane Restaurant offers an excellent fusion of Western/American continental cuisine, while the Twin Peaks bar had an amazing selection of cocktails to make for you upon request, and the neighboring Twin Peaks market had a standard mix of cold beverages (water, soda, juice, etc.) and snack items including potato chips, and standard American/western fare And the views! Where do I start? This is where being an avgeek comes into play as an advantage and the hotel encourages this, providing an "aircraft identification guide," binoculars, pen, and paper notepad. I spent hours in my suite watching aircraft land, taxi, park at the gate, taxi to the runway then take off. NOTE: Request an apron-view room or suite, otherwise you get an interior room /suite. My suite had panoramic views of the International terminal and half of the "A" gates (the international terminal consists of one gigantic hall and two piers, "A" and "G" gates - Star Alliance aircraft depart out of the "G" gates, while everyone else uses the "A" gates and pier. Domestic terminals 1, 2, and 3 are strictly for gates "B" "C" "D" "E" and "F"). I had to get a pad of paper and a pen to keep track of every aircraft I saw. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! 4.0/5.0 is my final rating, only because 5.0 is the proverbial unicorn; no hotel gets 5.0/5.0, it is unfair to other establishments and there is always something any given hotel can do better, even if it is so unnoticeable to guests, it is behind the scenes. The only thing that could make the Grand Hyatt SFO better is a spa on-site but I'm being unnecessarily nit-picky here, which isn't fair to the hotel.

Due to a family emergency, I was unable to arrive on the first day of the conference. I called ahead and notified the hotel in advance, and thankfully there were no issues with that change. However, on the day I was finally traveling in, my flight was delayed by over two hours. After doing the math, I realized I would arrive so late that I'd miss most of the final important day of the conference, making the trip no longer worthwhile. I called hoping the hotel would offer at least a partial credit toward a future stay, especially considering my long history of staying with Hilton properties. Instead, I was told nothing could be done because the flight was delayed rather than canceled. I understand businesses have policies, but customer loyalty and reasonable circumstances should matter too. This was the first time I've run into issues like this after many stays, and the lack of flexibility or consideration was disappointing. I'm giving 3 stars because I haven't actually stayed at this specific Hilton before, and it's entirely possible the hotel itself is otherwise excellent. However, based on this experience alone, I'm much less likely to choose this location again in the future.

I genuinely do not take the time to write a lot of reviews unless the business is stunning OR there needs to be a change, and every employee tried their best to navigate what seemed to be an out-of-date procedure. I had an abysmal time staying here recently, and with the room rates and location, you're much better staying up the street at any of the other options. I booked through a third-party travel app and was given an estimated quote including taxes and incidentals. When I arrived, this number was monumentally higher and I was given the reason that "the [app] didn't include incidentals or taxes." The front desk could not provide an itemized reason, but I let it go and paid (such is life). I was given the okay, dropped some things off, and ran to an appointment in town. Within an hour, my phone blew up with fraud notices. Apparently the charge they ran was higher than what was verbally told to me by a hundred or so, and for whatever reason it flagged my bank. Rather than calling me, they ran the charge four additional times, then changed the value several times to "test" if it was my balance, withdrawing well over 2x the amount. I worked with my bank, called the front desk to touch base, and ran back to amend the charges. I was told everything was good and I would receive an email receipt. I didn't. My room key stopped working nearly twice a day and I wound up with about seven replacement cards over the course of a week. It also choosingly worked at parking, which left me stranded at the gate trying to exit several times. There were several hidden fees, including $24 daily parking that are unclear. (Also not being able to scan ticket and having to print a new pass every time seems weird). The posted costs of snacks and water in the lobby are out of date and they will charge more pre-tax for waters/etc. It was also a holiday weekend, so understandingly they were slammed. Several times I received calls from the hotel that, when I answered, disconnected or redirected me to their phone tree for no reason. On a couple of occasions room service left the cart in front of my room and were nowhere to be found, so I had to move it out of the way and back to get in the room (it seemed chaotic). There's a lot of strange design choices in the hotel, like elevator call buttons disconnected on walls or otherwise that give a kind of "welcome to the backrooms" vibe. On the last day I woke up to find half of my transaction returned and a voicemail that I owed a new arbitrary amount that was not itemized in any way. I thought maybe this might be due to incidentals or some procedure since I thought it strange they charged me the first day instead of taking deposit, but I digress. I went to the front desk and paid, but my card on file would not charge. I called my bank to confirm it was not an error on my end, and they confirmed the charges weren't even showing up as a decline on their end or at all. I tried in person to run several other cards, but their slide machine wouldn't work and they had "no way" to tap or manually input the card info. I tried optioning wire or direct transfers, re-inputting my card on file, but they seemed firm that per procedure they could not do any of these. I was then told it was definitely the fault of my account/bank. I stayed an extra hour and tried to resolve it, and then was told I could contact accounting and resolve it online and was given a number that did not work and that I was okay to leave the location and pay the remaining balance later. I received an automated text that I had checked out and would receive a bill/receipt that never arrived. I called as soon as I was no longer traveling same day, and was told a rep from banking would contact me, they never did. I called the front desk back when I made it home and was immediately told that they needed me to come back and pay in person. I eventually spoke to Gloria, and she was PHENOMENAL. She immediately offered to manually input a different card (a thing I had been asking to do for days and was told this was not possible) and it immediately fixed the issue. I was sent a full itemized invoice and receipt. I travel regularly and have never had such a headache with booking, charges, keys, parking, or the room, and left blaming myself despite the error not being with my bank or card. I think the staff handled everything like Saints but Ihg may need to revisit funding updating their pos machines, buildings (this one is older), tech, and work towards more transparent fees and charges (I know this is fundamentally an aspect of the hotel industry, but whoa.) 10/10 for the employees, who were incredibly patient despite me.

The bathroom had the usual Marriott bottle products. The room was good for a one night's stay. Their gym, once I found it, was adequate with treadmills, ellipticals, dumb bells, kettlebells, and Pilates balls. It was good enough to give me a good workout. Their parking lot is big. They do charge for parking. My only complaint, if I had one is that the staff does not know how to use virtual credit card payments. I had to use my own credit card instead of charging my virtual card. Other than that, it was a good stay. I wouldn't mind staying again if the other hotel I usually stay at wasn't available.

Good location, centrally located [Burlingame CA]…read more Booked a last minute overnight stay at this Holiday Inn Express in Burlingame. Booked for two adults: me and Mom. It is actually close proximity from the Elks Lodge in South San Francisco where we attended a party that ended pretty late. The unit was clean with all amenities in working order. We had a comfortable King size bed. Slept like a baby. Night time was quiet. Complimentary breakfast was served until 9:30a. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties and links, cereal, baked goods. The "basic" you come to expect in IHG hotels. First time experience was pleasant. Paid private parking on-site. The only thing that I wasn't aware of was the $30 parking fee that wasn't stated in the booking contract. So please be aware. Review #4045

Upon arrival late Tuesday (June 9) I checked in, went upstairs to inspect my room and was…read morecompletely disgusted by it. There were stains on the box springs, on the curtains, and most importantly, a weird potentially bloody, or potentially soda, gunky stain on the baseboards between the two beds, and on the power cords. I reported the problem right away, (about 11:30pm) but was told no rooms were available to transfer me to. They had completely booked the hotel. I contacted IHG corporate but there was nothing they could do to help me, I had to wait for the hotel to figure it out. The hotel refused to call in the manager or the owner to help resolve the situation. I had to wait in my room for an hour and a half, on the pleather desk chair (which I cleaned off with Clorox wipes) because I did not trust any other surfaces. The front desk man was also the only employee on site, so he never came up and personally looked at the room. He took photos of the photos I took from my phone. He also never personally inspected the second room with me, he opened it and then ran back downstairs. The front desk man informed me they could not transfer me to another room until the last reservation failed to show. All of the IHG hotels in the area were completely booked. I needed to stay within the shuttle area because my parents were arriving the next day, and we needed the shuttle to get to the hotel. There were other hotels with available rooms, but they were not IHG hotels, and they were more expensive. Holiday Inn express refused to cover the price difference for the stay at another hotel, and worse told me that they would have to hold money that I was spending on the current hotel for a couple of days. I was told repeatedly by IHG corporate that I would get a full refund, but we just had to wait for the manager to come in the next day to "push the button". The next day, I briefly spoke to the front desk, but it was after 11 PM, I was simply picking up pizzas in the lobby, I had already taken my nighttime meds and she never identified herself as a manager. She is now claiming that I said everything was acceptable at that point in time, which I never did. She said they offered to clean my room on Wednesday, the only way to bring my second room to an acceptable level of cleanliness, would've been to replace the curtain curtains, and deep, clean the carpet. Which cannot be done while a guest is staying. They have been incredibly difficult about the entire situation, and even rude at times. They never apologized, they never gave me the refund, in fact, they have argued with me about it multiple times. I've taken the route of disputing it with my credit card based on the state of the room. The room was not hygienic, in fact it had not been for quite some time, and the room they transferred me to was also poorly maintained. As a side note, while waiting for my DoorDash order in the afternoon on Wednesday, I listened to housekeeping chat for 15 minutes in the hallway, without cleaning. They have not taken my complaint seriously, and have given no indication that they plan on correcting the hygiene problem. After finally getting transferred to a new room, I found that the carpet had obviously not been vacuumed or cleaned. This is where I found the toenails and crumbs. The box springs were clean in this room though, and it was 115am, so I took what I could get, and transferred rooms. Overall, I feel this hotel requires a through inspection, of every single room, and also a fire safety/ prevention inspection as well. Ive also included a close up of the power cords with the gunk on them, which were not properly fitted/ closed, leaving part if the prongs exposed.
