We enjoyed our stay with this hotel. They have free parking on ground level and several luggage carts for us to bring our suitcases in. I was surprised by how lovely the atrium is, I wish I have a group of friends I can invite to sit and chat there. The room is spacious and appear well maintained. Charging outlets - USB ports, electrical outlets and even phone charging pads - are plentiful and conveniently located by the bed. There are microwaves and fridge in the room. There is no breakfast offered in the hotel, and coffee machine is locked outside of breakfast time. Lucky I am more a tea drinker, and can take advantage of the teabags and hot water available around the clock. I did need to use their business corner to print something. The keyboard was broken (some keys don't work) and printer didn't work. The staff printed my document for me. So, the business center problem aside (and I don't think nowadays even 0.1% of the guests care about it), we were very happy with our stay and it was a good value for what we paid. Booked a night stay thru booking.com and got it for a good price. Easy to find off of 380. The room was large and clean. They offer airport parking and free shuttle. Airport parking is outside and uncovered. It seems a lil sketchy if no other cars are out there. I asked the desk and they let me park in the covered area. Parking is $15 a day and the shuttle will pick you up from the airport as well. It's near the airport so not the most quiet area. I didn't have any issues with noises etc that others have said they experienced. I would definitely suggest this hotel for a quick over night stay before the hotel. It's not a 4 star by any means but it is clean and priced right with close proximity to the airport and most importantly its clean. Front desk staff was very nice as well. They have water and soda and some snacks for sale at the desk. read more

This is a solid hotel/motel for the price and location. This may be the cheapest best spot that I've ever stayed when needing to head to SFO - they offer shuttle service and free parking. I'd even consider staying here if I needed to get to the City, I've spent soo much money on awful hotel rooms in SF - this hotel/motel is pretty good. It's walking distance from restaurants, not too far from BART. The rooms look exactly like the pictures - clean, spacious, comfortable and somewhat nice. Great lighting. It is road side so you'll hear the sound of cars humming all night but that's it - there aren't any bars nearby or late night activities so you don't hear people shouting. Front desk is friendly. The exterior isn't fancy at all and only one elevator was working but it didn't impact my stay at all. read more

This hotel near SFO is very basic with no real frills. The layout is strange and there is old, discarded furniture placed in random corners throughout the property. Sound control between rooms is very poor and it was hard to sleep since we could clearly hear guests on both sides of us, even though the hotel and parking lot seemed fairly empty. We also had to place towels at the bottom of the door to block the draft and some of the noise. read more

Selected this via Expedia. The pictures looked decent. It's really a basic hotel room. In a bldg that's actually several 2 story bldgs mashed together with a connecting hallway on the second floor. THere is free parking on the ground level. The decor is bare with a few pictures scattered around. A couple of common areas with couches and chairs and more decoration. A warren of corridors to different sections. The fitness room is embarrassingly small. the rooms are large but basic. the bathrooms are sparse. The bathroom is well worn. the bed is just okay. the workmanship is amateur. molding along the floor is missing and the materials are almost like salvaged components from prior demos. The venting system was broken in the bathroom and we could hear the tv in the next unit as if it were in our unit. I wouldn't stay here again. read more

i would not recommend staying here. we stayed here for 4 nights and the front desk person said we could ask for full room service of sheets, floors, towels if we flipped our sign. we asked for room service after our 2nd night and left them $20, and we did not get anything except new towels. thankfully they did not take our tip. the next morning i saw a bed bug crawling all over my sheets. we spoke to the front desk person again and he said the house keeping didnt see our sign and that their basic practice was just to switch towels every day. both were not true. the house keeping had taken down our sign, meaning they had ignored our request for fresh sheets. we asked to switch rooms and he put us in a upgraded business suite with a couch inside, which was okay but it was in a separate building and not remodeled. the window was facing an outdoor street and the overall vibes were weird. we switched again thankfully. the front desk person was nice but more should have been done to make up for our experience. if it werent for the bed bug and how it was handled, i would have been satisfied for the cost and the location is also excellent. just know you will be getting what you pay for read more

First room offered was in the corner, very dark. Was very uncomfortable. Bed looked like it was not changed, shower spout broken, hair dryer broken. Room unkept. The front desk staff did not seem like he understood or wanted to help, but after calmly expressing our dissatisfaction, was able to switch rooms. Better, but still felt like the bed sheets weren't changed and come to find out the handle to flush the toilet was broken and the hair dryer in this room was also broken. Such a disappointment. Went to the front desk again, different front staff, was nicer and seemed concerned. He assured us that the toilet handle will be fixed and bed sheets changed. Took some time, but they got it done. Still felt uncomfortable. It's a wonder that cleaning staff does not report to maintenance that things are broken or not functioning in a room. They don't even make sure that the beds are made up properly. Sheets are dingy and smell. WiFi is not great. That means they don't care. The hotel shouldn't have to wait for hotel guests to report anything. Things do break, but things should be checked prior to a guest arriving. The coffee machine in the lobby was disgusting and needed to be cleaned. They do not put a lot of care into this hotel. I would recommend staying somewhere else. If you choose to stay here, check the room prior to getting settled. The only good things is the free parking at hotel and the location is convenient to SFO, rental cars, restaurants and a mall. The location of this hotel was great because it is close to the SFO airport. There's also quite a bit of restaurants and places to eat within ten minutes of the hotel. The staff was helpful and kind. The cleanliness of the hotel is a 6/10. The comfort of the bed and pillow is a 5/10. There is a parking garage and we had no problem finding a spot. Based on the old, unclean shower area and mediocre comfortness of the beds/pillow I would not recommend this hotel. read more

Great hotel, I was a bit nervous because I got this on a booking deal, and shuttle was so old but it exceeded expectations. It's hard to get a deal in San Francisco at times. The hotel is nice, very clean, modern, updated. The rooms are very nice and you can tell the workers here care about keeping everything nice even though it's an older hotel. The shuttle runs every hour and the driver drives like he's late for his wedding ( attempt at humor there) everyone here was nice and helpful. The room had a fridge, microwave, charging pad, free internet. The only possible downside is it in a busy area so there's a lot of outside road noise. For me that's great because I sleep to noise and actually like that but if required silence you might have an issue with it. There a lot of things around the hotel, tons of shops and restaurants, all within walking distance, even a Wendy's if you want to go cheap. Not a lot of hotels near the airport have that. They have large seating areas within the hotel if you're traveling in a group that may be nice for you. The front desk only has one person but everything still went pretty quickly. Nothing fancy. A good option if you want a quick ride to airport early morning. It super close to the airport so there's shuttle service starting at 4:10am. Gym needs work. Like disinfectant wipes for example and a working tv. Has free weights up to 25 pounds. First night parking fee is free but after that they do charge. read more

My experience here was for one night and it was a Saturday. I didn't have high expectations due to some reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were aesthetically pleasing and it didn't feel dirty at all, had everything we wanted. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The night stands had built in wireless charger for iPhones so I luckily didn't need to use my own. Has its own parking garage which is extremely convenient, no extra charge. Checkin was fine when I got there but had seen some people waiting while employee was out for a while. Checkout was with a different guy who didn't offer a receipt until I asked for it but that wasn't an issue. The area felt safe to walk around and had plenty of restaurants near by to walk to. We got lucky to be put in a room in front of the lobby which the energy was inviting because there were other rooms deep in the hall that were not as pleasing to walk through as they looked like typical rooms in a dingy hall way. Gym room is super small, good if one wants to do light work on a treadmill and a bike. Had a dumbbell set for weights but not aesthetically pleasing room but doable. Overall my i my friend and I enjoyed staying here for the price. Noise level was unnoticeable as I am a light sleeper, it was quiet for our weekend we went. I would definitely come back to this place if I was in the area again, I also seen people using the shuttle to sf airport which I believe was free. From 6-12pm they offered coffee out of their machine that is better than the room coffee. No breakfast or a pool but not a deal breaker. I would recommend. read more

Renovated Ramada close to SFO with a free sporadic shuttle. Recently stayed at Aluxor and would give it 3.5 stars with a round up to 4 due to modernized decor and a fun game of tic tac toe. The hotel is less than a mile away from the mall in San Bruno which provides ample dining options and a festive fall/ Halloween family fun zone. The hotel room had a king bed, modern bedside tables with wireless phone charger and reading lights. The mini split in room AC worked well. The shower water didn't stay hot long enough to wash hair and the walls were on the thin side. The room door wouldn't deadbolt and Peele walking upstairs could be heard in a magnified fashion. Outside the rooms were a few attractive sitting areas in an indoor atrium with sky lights. One table has a wooden tic tac toe game which was fun to play with the right company. Way better than Uno! If the opportunity presents itself and the price is right, Aluxor is a fine place to stay. It evens gives one ideas about their own renovations in the future. Doors slamming echoes throughout the wall. Being directly on a major road also doesn't help. LOCATION -- Conveniently located on el Camino. Felt safe throughout the day & high walkability. Place was clean, that the best part. We checked in late and they leave the door to the garage into the lobby propped open, we had our luggage stolen from someone walking by and seeing the door open. The staff is rude. The website is inaccurate. There is No pool. There is No breakfast in the morning. The "gym" has old broken down equipment. There is a safety hazard in the hallway; a broken tile that sticks up about an inch off the floor and big long crack. The water is scalding hot. Not a good stay! read more

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was fantastic. The rooms are clean and inviting. The bathrooms are nothing to write home about, but the rooms have built in phone chargers and plenty of lights. The outside of the hotel can be misleading, it does look a little run down... but once you get past the lobby everything looks brand new! Stay away. Made a reservation over two months ago for Jan 29th for a trip with my 84 year old dad to take him on a bucket list trip to the Pebble Beach Pro Am tournament. Apparently, they entered the reservation for the wrong date, Jan 22nd. I received no reminder or notice of the reservation until I received an automated email the next day soliciting a review for my stay (which I didn't have). I called the hotel and a man with a thick Indian accent told me he was busy and I needed to call back. I called again and explained that they had the wrong date and that my reservation is supposed to be for one week later and asked him to move the reservation. He told me that I would have to call back in 3 hours to talk to the manager Mr. Patel (?). I called as instructed and asked to speak to the manager. Another man said in an unfriendly Indian accent said that the manager was busy and that he was the assistant manager. When I again explained the mistake and politely asked for him to move the reservation to the correct date, he unapologetically told me that he could book it for the correct date, but I would have to pay again due to their cancellation policy. I asked to speak to the Manager and was given the same speel about their cancellation policy and then he told me that the Manager was away for a week. Lol! Terrible customer service and near-sighted, greedy people. It would have cost them nothing to be friendly, helpful and simply move the reservation to the correct reservation date. Place was pretty clean but my big problem is that it's about 27°F outside and the heater is barely working. throughout the night I have had to keep turning it up to the point where now it's at 90°, the highest setting possible and it's still cold in the room and barely blowing out anything.
