We had an original 1937 faucet that wouldn't turn off, a toilet that just had a sign on it saying do not use, an improperly installed toilet that had to be re installed and our main water supply was leaking. Each issue was repaired quickly and inexpensively. Having moved from another old house I was familiar with the adage "you just going to have to replace it" without anyone trying to repair...not Ralph! From the initial call to getting the tank removed & installed, the experience was very professional, efficient and prompt. After receiving an estimated price quote via email, I called their office and asked if a technician could be sent out to take a closer look and let us know if any additional charges would be incurred. That was on a Thursday afternoon and while we were planning to move forward with Heil, over that weekend the tank started leaking water all over the floor. I looked at online to see what time they would open on Monday and saw that they would be open @ 7:30am. I wanted to give folks time to get in the door before calling so I waited until 7:45am to call. I explained that the tank had started to leak and that we had an immediate need for them to proceed with replacing the tank. To our total delight and amazement, Heil dispatched 2 plumbers to our home; told me that they would arrive anytime between 12noon - 2pm (I think) and around 11:15am we received a call that they were on their way. The 2 plumbers entered our home, put on the protective coverings over their boots & proceeded downstairs to area where the tank was located. They did their job, tested the install, talked with my husband, took the old tank away & cleaned up before they left. We were and still are, totally happy with the service provided and would gladly recommend to anyone needing any of the services they provide. Thank you Heil for the top notch service we received, for having good, talented employees and for making the entire experience as pleasant as possible. To top off everything stated in this review, we found their prices to be very competitive which was icing on the cake!!

So while I have no foundation to comment upon pricing (since eventually BGE is paying for their services), I can and will comment about how impressed I am with T&D's master plumber who followed in the wake of Northern Pipeline's work to replace the gas line to my home. I hadn't taken the time and don't have the technical background to realize that re-piping doesn't end with a new pipe (it looked more like a tube to me), but rather the job is really just beginning when Northern Pipeline has done their own miracle in ensuring that our landscaping wouldn't be harmed. The T&D professional had about a four-hour job, going well past normal business hours, to do in replacing the gas meter and all the strange-looking widgets that service the meter, making sure that no gas is leaking (he was incredibly attentive to that function), getting the venting working right, and re-lighting the gas boiler, the water heater, the gas range, and the standby electrical generator and making sure everything was back in business again. This man was incredibly patient, both with me and with Northern Pipeline, and there was no way he was going to let my wife be without the use of our gas range in preparing food for our Sabbath. I have kind words for how much I appreciate Northern Pipeline for saving our shrubbery, but the real hero of the day was the plumber from T&D (and of course whoever at Northern Pipeline selected T&D to do the inside-the-house part of the project).

Ultimately we discovered it was a problem with my electric circuit. He did not bill me for the call, and I am grateful and will refer freinds to him anytime.

He proceeded to leave saying he could fix it but changed a diagnostic fee of $113. They sent a different crew a few days later; who asked for significantly more money to fix it and refused to deduct the $113 from the price. I would recommend calling a different plumber. This was the worst company I have dealt with and seems to be causing additional damage on purpose in hopes of driving up the amount they can charge. Photos of hose they broke as well as the inside which they caused the additional damage.

When I called in about this they assured me that the tank could be on the hot side no problem.
