I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, the water was extremely disappointing. It had a strong chemical taste and smell that made it very difficult to drink. After getting used to fresh, clean-tasting water elsewhere, the difference was honestly shocking. We only came here because our usual water place was closed, and I immediately regretted it. Love to just go in and out quick. I used to go to the stores like Safeway and Luckys but they are sometimes very inconvenient especially if they are out of water. Found this place on Yelp and decided to swing by. They accept card BUT wasn't notified they apply a service fee. I paid cash one time and then noticed the price was different when I paid card since I didn't have cash on me that day. Would be nice to post a sign or let the customer know there will be a service charge. This way me or other customers can remember to bring cash next time. This is our go-to water place. We always put like 7-8 water 5-gallon water bottles and it's usually an in and out situation. It can get pretty busy here on weekends, but the owners are kind and it's nice to support a small business. They have some deals where if you pre-pay for the water, it's cheaper, but I think it's kind of weird to pre-pay for water, but maybe some day we will try it. They don't go out of their way to help you put your water in the car or open the door or anything, but the hours are reliable and they are usually there when they say they will be there, which is great. I think it's great that they sell water dispensers and what not, and they do sell the lotto and water bottles as well. read more

Great little water shop. Always clean and the owners always keep air flowing (open doors) when there are customers inside. They have 3 spouts for alkali water and 7 for filtered. My wife has sensitive taste buds and believes this water taste better than other places. The owner are super nice and very helpful. Prices are also reasonable... I've seen more expensive places. If you decide to make this "your spot" it's worth it to purchase a pre-paid water card which is a nice discount. It's a family run place and local business. While there are probably water places closer to us, but we choose to drive here from Alameda to support a great business. read more

We've been getting our alkaline water here for a number of years. Nowadays I think the management was transitioned to another family member. Service is still great, although there were a select few times when we were turned away as they had no more water/ closed early. I just call prior to heading over now to make sure the trip isn't wasted. Area is acceptably clean, service remains friendly. There is a small parking lot outside but people come and go usually pretty quickly so I've never had to wait long to get parking. read more

I was looking for a water store in my area. I googled pure water and Hayward which is around the corner from my home. I read the reviews and the reviews they said that the owner of the business was friendly and that she had alkaline water. I found both of these things to be untrue, I went to the store she came in from outside and asked me what did I want? I said good morning I didn't know that your company was in my area and I came to check it out. Do you have alkaline water? She said no I only have this water here did not want to help me. It was very rude. I would not give this store any stars, except for you have to give at least one I would not refer to a friend if you can greet your customers with what do you want, that is unacceptable in my book. They have Alkaline water here for $1.25 a gallon as of this post. The couple is super nice and friendly. My first time here I didn't know what to do. He showed me how to use the bottle cleaner and how to fill my bottles. The carts are well kept and sanitized. Getting my water from here from now on! read more

Was looking for a place to refill water jugs cuz delivery service can get pricey. The owner was very friendly, very helpful. Signed up for a "membership" which basically meant you pre-purchase a set amount of gallons for a discounted price. Once you've used up all the gallons you purchase, then the membership "expires" unless you pre purchase more. I thought it was a great idea, especially if we will be coming frequently. Oh and one of our previous lids broke, and he had various lids/sizes, which he had one that was a perfect replacement. We live in SF, but would recommended to anyone in the Bay Area. read more

Really love this place. Super convenient, clean, and I like the fact that they have a choice of water. The have a few Kagen water dispenser which is great a long with their other high quality water. I like that they get the fluoride and chlorine amongst other things. They also have a nice discount if you purchase in bulk. I buy 20-30 gallons at a time so I purchase a 150 gallons at a time and save around 20-30 cents per gallon. I highly recommend this place. read more

Went on Yelp to find a place that sold alkaline water by the 5 gallon jug. Found this gem in Hayward about 15 minutes from home. This place had two separate stations. One for alkaline and one for purified water. There was also a station to rinse your jugs before filling them up. I was curious if the water was alkaline as advertised so I asked the lady working there to show me that it was alkaline water I was purchasing. She pulls out this shot glass and a small plastic container that contains a brown liquid. So she pours a little of the alkaline water into the shot glass and adds the brown liquid. The water turned into this nice cool blue color. So she shows me a chart of how to tell it's alkaline water. So what we purchased was 9.5 ph alkaline water. The price was only $1 per gallon which was great. I highly recommend this place!!! read more

I initially started going to Newark Pure Water a couple years ago as I was on the search for alkaline water and was sick of having to budget at least $15-20/week to purchase alkaline water at the store. I loved the Newark location and the staff/family that owns it. As I have befriended the owner, she informed me when she was opening up this location. I was stoked as it's closer to my house (more so as I have relocated to Oakland from Hayward).
