I fell from a horse about 5 years ago on my shoulder and messed it up while rowing on the crew team in high school. I had MRIs done at Yale New Haven Hospital (I'm originally from CT) stating that I had a few things wrong with it (the specifics I'm not entirely sure of). I decided to give this place a chance because they were local and the doctors listed on their website have a lot of experience. First of all, this place has barely any lights inside. It's like walking into a cave! The ladies at the front desk were very polite, however. Then I was taken in to see Dr. Green - easily the most unprofessional doctor I've met in my life. He came into the room without saying a word or introducing himself and shoved his hand in my face looking for a handshake. Then he asked me what was wrong and had me do a series of tests for range of motion and strength. I told him most of them hurt. I gave him the DVD of the MRIs I had and he spent 5 minutes looking at them silently. He said he didn't see anything wrong with my shoulder and asked if I had done physical therapy before, to which I replied yes - and that it had done nothing but make my shoulder hurt more. He told me to go to physical therapy for a month and then come back, wrote something on a piece of paper to give to the girls at the front desk and walked out without saying anything. I decided to go to another doctor for a second opinion. Dr. Green and his practice aren't getting another DIME of my insurance money. Long story short - if you like going to rude doctors who work out of dingy offices, this is the place for you.

I have suffered for years with plantar fasciitis and other orthopedic problems. I have done…read morenumerous exercises on my own with no improvement. I changed my footwear and my problem only got worse. I started having to use a cane to walk and I had fallen twice at home . I felt discouraged and I never imagined I would improve. My son found Dion Physical Therapy online and we were both impressed by their outstanding reviews and their description of the wide array of patients that they are able to help. I was able to make an appointment without seeing my doctor. My insurance does not require a referral. When I called to make an appointment , I was greeted by a kind and caring person who was able to bring me in within just couple of days. Mike , my physical therapist , did an outstanding evaluation on my very first visit. He listened to my complicated medical history and did a thorough examination of my extremities. I did some exercises while I was there and I was given a handout of exercises to do at home. When I came back for my second visit I had already made tremendous progress. I plan to continue until I can walk normally. I recommend Dion Physical Therapy to everyone, especially if you have been suffering for years. I really believe that your quality of life can be improved tremendously.

I brought my daughter in for a burn, booked online, and was greeted by the front desk registrar -- an African American woman who could not have been kinder or more welcoming. Ian Kelly, NP, treated her and was outstanding: thorough, kind, and reassuring. I left impressed enough that when my other daughter needed urgent care today, this was the first place I thought of. Today did not go the same way. I booked a noon appointment online and checked in at the kiosk upon arrival. After about thirty minutes, a Caucasian woman with glasses, wearing a brace on one arm, got our attention by waving her other arm back and forth over her head. When we walked over, she announced loudly and rudely that if we didn't have an appointment, we needed to come to her. I let her know that we did, in fact, have an appointment. She insisted we didn't and essentially told us we hadn't made an appointment at all, at which point I told my daughter to pull up the confirmation email to show her. She then interrupted her colleague (the front desk registrar from my prior visit, who was a gem) who was mid-conversation with another patient to ask if our name was on her screen. It wasn't. She then told us we hadn't checked in properly, and I talked her through exactly what I had done on the kiosk which was the proper procedure. I told her she was welcome to go out to the kiosk to verify it herself. She then walked out to the kiosk, announced to me that my daughter's name wasn't there, and then had to backtrack when she saw that it actually was. She then went through the same process I did and lo and behold - it was a technical issue with the kiosk. Instead of an apology or, at the very least, a change in her tone, her response was to repeat several times that the kiosk isn't registration's responsibility and none of this was her fault. No one had said it was, but it certainly wasn't ours -- which I told her. Her offer was to restart us a walk-in and for us to have to wait another thirty minutes. I told her we'd go somewhere else. As we got up to leave, she told us to have a "luuuuuvley day" in the snarkiest voice she could muster up. The kiosk failure wasn't her doing. The way she treated and spoke to us was. The woman who checked us in in June was working right next to her. If we'd gotten her again, I know this would have gone a whole lot differently. People come to urgent care sick, hurt, and already stressed - they should not also have to absorb this kind of behavior and treatment. Southcoast should look at why kiosk check-ins aren't populating on the registration screens, and how the front desk handles it when they don't. Clearly, she hasn't been trained for this situation. Or maybe she just gets a kick out of treating people this way.

His reasoning, contrary to medical studies, the products OWN INSTRUCTIONS for use, a multitude of other providers, and my own personal, anecdotal interactions with the same procedure, was that the clear presurgery drink my mother ingested at 7am posed an imminent risk to the procedure she arrived for at 8:30am. Her surgery had previously been canceled when she tested positive for nicotine; despite not having been made aware that was even a possibility. To tell a patient with a long history of depression and mental illness that they're 'bad', 'this is all on you, not me' and the dismissive, condescension, in combination with the lack of proper or adequate pre-op instruction from 'support' staff is repugnant. She came home and curled up in bed for 7 hours. DO BETTER!

Unless a complaint was made toileting didn't happen. Patients that weren't quiet were in reclining chairs as not to get up. Patients were left in urine if family members weren't there to advocate. In my opinion there are only a few good staff, they were short staff on weekends and the nursing staff except for med passing doesn't really interact with patients except if the patient is in front or behind the nurses desk. My family member regressed significantly in the month there. Black and blue marks from her head to her feet, sore on her foot, bruise on her forehead from a fall... it was heart breaking! Please don't put your loved one there and if you do be the biggest loudest advocate and keep your eyes open. The overall appearance is deplorable, needs painting, patient rooms need update, day room has little to no chairs and what they have are torn. Out side seating is horrible and most of the time people are out there smoking. Elevators were broken for weeks, activities were coloring or word search ( for stroke and dementia patients).
