Love old school movie theaters & this was exactly that! With nice employees & the theater was very clean! $5 bucks Tuesday movie night & $10 bucks for popcorn, soda and a candy bar - good deal!

What a neat little gem of a theater! Wonderfully redone inside ... well at least the ceiling is what caught my eye. Hometown feeling where everyone knows your name. Our first time here. Family owned too.

    Beautiful place.

Always a treat to be able to relax in a clean environment while enjoying a movie you have waited for.

Screen and remodeled beam ceiling. Great theatre. Small - fabulous pricing - first run features. All in Morro Bay - yea!!!

The Bay Theatre has become my favorite theatre of all time. Even nudges out my previous favorite - The Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara. Great screen, great sound , comfortable seats. Back at it...Ford v Ferrari - looking forward to another great movie experience.

Modern seating and sound system yet old-fashioned wooden beams.

My better half wanted a sappy movie during our stay on the Central Coast, so why not go see one in a theater from the 1940s? So here's the lowdown: - It's the only theater in Morro. - Since it's practically dead this time of year, parking is certainly not an issue. - Only ONE movie feature shown twice a day. As of this post it's Cinderella. - The price of admission + large popcorn combined is about the typical price of admission at one of those big chains. - The popcorn is served with real butter. - The seats are surprisingly comfortable and it feels like a mix of new and old with the modern sound system and wooden beams.

This is a great small-town theater that has kept up with the times. Comfortable seats with cup-holders, a great sound system, non-gouging prices for tickets and treats, and a friendly staff. I'd go here to see a movie before any place that ends with "plex".

I've lived in MB almost 2.5yrs and this was my first experience at Bay Theatre. I was pleasantly surprised!!!!! The theatre is absolutely beautiful! Staff is friendly and inviting. Plenty of comfy seating too! Tickets are $8 per person and concession items are priced pretty good. I wasn't too fond of the popcorn as it was a bit rubbery for my liking. Next time I will opt for a Sprite and Reese's Pieces :) I can't wait to go back! I caught Sully with Tom Hanks! Great flick! Surround sound is great quality too!

Memorial Day 2026. The Mandalorian…read more No more ticket window up front. You must buy movie tickets at the refreshment counter and it takes awhile as everyone is ordering food and drink as well. There's no Express, just movie tickets area. Not efficient. We got our tickets 5, and went to theater 3, recliner seats The new seats are fantastic! Power recliners. I hope they hold up well I'm not a fan of the movie we saw and it was kinda long. 2 hrs 12 min. But it was a family movie day so most of us went as a group. The theater itself. Women's bathroom had 2 empty towel dispensers. When o stopped in again the movie they had set 1 roll of towels on the counter. No idea why the theater had no towels early on the day at first showing. I noticed the walls by the bathrooms entrances were bashed up like someone kicked and broke the drywall. So it looks poorly maintained. Overall I was very happy with the new recliner chairs so I would be happy going here instead of Atascadero where I have gone for about 30 plus years. Atascadero has a much larger, nicer lobby with dedicated inside ticket windows. The hallways by the theaters are larger than Paso. At Paso when movie ended it's very congested and small hallway where everyone is trying to get into the bathrooms and a row of trash cans there also takes space. Paso is just too small in lobby and hallway areas but nothing can be done about this.

I love the reclining seats. The chair is wide and reclines almost to a laying down position. I love…read morethe pizza they offer, as well as beer and wine choices. The kids box came with a Mario cup, snack choice, and popcorn for $9.50. Staff is friendly and kind, even on a busy Friday. The decor for the opening of Mario made it extra special and fun. They even had a Photo Booth stand you can get a picture with and texted to yourself. It's always a great time getting out and having a special movie night.
